I lost my dog today, he died of old age.. I miss him a lot..he was my first pet aswell.. I hope y'all get better tho! Grief the pain and it will heal on it's own :) You got this!
I can relate! I had a German Shepherd for 15 happy years until his hip problem , arthritis and old age caught up with him and he died. After several months I bought a Shepherd puppy and he too gave me 16 years of love. He died of similar circumstances. This was over 25 years ago and it still affects me . Love your pets and remember that they give their all and and ask little in return !

My hamster died yesterday... 😭 he was my lil pal and I can’t stop crying 😭 Edit 1- I have now got a new hamster, her name is Peanut and she is a Syrian hamster and she is a bit nervous but she is getting better xx. Edit 2- So it turns out Peanut had a bloat in her stomach and she died 😭 RIP Mickey and Peanut. Edit 3- I just got a new hamster and he’s a roboroski and he’s nervous but he is better Edit 4- Mikey is kinda tame now but not very tame, he climbed onto my hand and eats his food but he’s still a bit jumpy Edit 5- I got a new hamster and he died and then Mikey died and then my two bunnies died so.... erm- yeh

i just lost my hamster 2 days ago. i cant stop screaming and crying trying to get him back and have so many good memories with him. he was like my best friend and he calmed me down so many times and stopped me from trying to commit suicide more times than i can remember i will always miss him and i felt so bad because i wasn’t with him when he died and i wish i had been their to make him warm, comfortable and make him feel loved . rip oreo

All in the comments I'm seeing stories about their pets dying so I'm going to tell a story. So I was at my grandma's house and I asked where my cat was and they said he was in hospital. The next day, word got received that he just had a stroke. I was obviously bawling my eyes out... Then they called and said he was still alive and doing fine so I was happy. Then , the worst happened.. The doctors have him medicine and it paralyzed him and he was gone... The only cat that I knew that actually loved me, was gone... If anybody loses pets its sad. My wonderful long haired Syrian hamster died. He was 4 years old, so he was an old man. He bit me once, but after that he was so gentle and careful towards me. Also, my pet budgie died. He was also very happy and loved to chirp. But, once when I got home from a trip, he was dead in his cage. My family and I had asked someone to take care of him, but CLEARLY they didn’t do their job. These two experiences were heartbreaking, especially for my 7 and 9 year old selves. I hope no one has to suffer as me and the girl in the story did, or anyone else whose lost a dear pet for that matter. Rip, all the wonderful animals who have been loved that have died. ❤️❤️❤️
My sister's dwarf hamster just died yesterday.... she's been crying non-stop. I know exactly how she feels. I have had so many hamsters and dealt with their deaths... I have a hamster named Felix and got him when he was six weeks old. He is still alive today. But I hope my sister gets through this. I've been comforting her. And she is still crying today....

This reminds me when I had a turtle when I was 8 years old. I got a turtle for my birthday because I loved turtles so much. Everyday when I went to school, I couldn't wait to play with him. At some point, at late night I would take him out of the cage and play with him. On day I was changing the water and I didn't know how hot the water was. I was going to bed and my brother barges in. He said to come to the living room. So I did and my mom said "I'm sorry, but Bobby is dead" I cried like crazy. I didn't stop. My mom comfort me until I stopped. We had a special funeral for him. I made him a box that looked the ocean. Now he is heaven swimming freely. I was heartbroken, and that was 4 years ago. The sad thing is, his first birthday didn't pass. I didn't get to celebrate one with him. I would celebrate his birthday every year forever. His is 4 years old now.

When my mom was 14/15 her older brother needed a math tutor. The tutor went to my grandpa's farm and brought his daughter, Meghan because she loves horses and my grandpa has horses. Over time my mom and Meghan became best friends, Megan would spend a week at my grandpa's house. She also helped my mom pick out her new horse a 6 year old thoroughbred that she named Chi (kai ). A few years later my mom is about 39 and Meghan is in her early thirty's and has two kids. One morning Megan's husband wakes up to his son yelling "mommy mommy" he checks every where for her, but when he checks the barn he finds Meghan hanging herself she is already dead. About eight months ago my mom noticed that Chi's eye was red she had this feeling that something was wrong. Last Tuesday I went to my grandpa's house to swim and Chi was completely fine, he cantered up the hill to go get his dinner, but little did we know that would be the last time he will canter. On Wednesday Chi went blind and he would only stay in this small spot on where the ground was level. He would never explore the big beautiful paddock again. Yesterday we visited the farm and Chi was not in good shape his eye was bulging out, he had bumps and bruises because he kept bumping into things, and he was really tight in his back end. Today, (Monday June 15, 2020 at 5:30 pm) Chi was just put down. We wanted to do it before he started suffering. I don't know yet but they may have put down their other horse Magic if they don't find a companion for her. As of today Chi is 28 years old and has lived 22 years on the farm. This hit my mom hard, she said "I'm sad he's dying because in a way he is my last living piece of Meghan" Chi we love you and miss you. You were such a good friend, thank you for 22 beautiful years. Go find Meghan, she'll take you home.
My first pet was a cat and I named him Jackfrost and he was crazy. He clawed my curtain and he was cute.. Which he would comfort me when I would cry and it made me feel loved. And.. I woke up the next morning and he was gone no sign of him and no meows. I felt heartbroken that he was missing and I never found him this year..

Sorry to hear that:( but here are some tips. 1. Don't place two Syrian hamsters together, they are very protective of their territory and will fight each other, even killing each other. Only place dwarfs together. 2. If you DO have two (or more) dwarf hamsters, introduce them together when they are young, preferably buy them together wherever you buy them. Two females is better than two males. Try not to keep female and male hamsters together, as they will breed and it's best to leave breeding to the professionals. 3. If you have two hamsters try to get a big cage and two wheels, two food dishes, etc. I hope this helped, and I am so sorry to hear your little friend died.:(
I currently have a Russian Dwarf hamster, along with my brother and sister in law. Sadly though, I found out that Penelope had passed away. I don’t know when or why, but I’m sure she’s in a better place now. ❤️ I don’t know if you care, but my hamster is called Coconut and my brothers is called Chewsday. (Weird name, I know) ❤️❤️

I recently lost my hamster, Kimchi. I was with him in his final moments yet I was unable to help him. All I could do was cry and pray that he'd just be well again. He died in my hands. I don't know how to move on. Every time I think about my baby, I end up crying and it hurts so much. I try my best but I still can't look at his little house, his toys, even his food without breaking down. I hope I was able to give you a good life and love you deserved. I miss you little angel, farewell until the day we meet again.
I had a brown Syrian hamster called pickle. He was so sweet and he never bit me. I was going to a summer space school, and I changed his cage before I left for a week. I gave him a little clap and said bye to him and my other hamster, cheese, before I left. He was about 3 years old. My gran was at the house with the hamsters and dogs, and I called her every night when I was at space school. On the second night she said to me "just so that you're prepared when you come home, you only have 1 hamster now. Pickle passed away". The news upset me but didn't hit me too hard as I didn't have time to think about it because I was doing activities all day at space school. However, when I got home I went to check on cheese and pickles empty cage was sitting there, just as it was but only without him there. I sat and cried for ages. Cheese was looking for pickle, it broke my heart. That's the one thing I hate about pets. Their time will come, and it breaks any pet owner when it does :( only a few weeks ago I had pickle. I wish I knew he was going soon...
@@stephaniea5424 I'm sorry for your loss. I love pets and I have future plans of having more than one but like you said, I hate that about pets too, though I like to think about it in a positive way. If we care for them and love them while they're still alive, try to make their tiny lives bit better then it's all worth it, don't you think?

@@stephaniea5424 Some people don't understand. I've been told that they're just animals and they don't care about me or what I do. Of course that triggered me but I managed to keep my cool somehow. I can only hope more people would respect the bond between a pet and it's owner and understand that the affection is mutual.

I had A dwarf Hamster..She escaped her cage and we couldn't find her for a week. Finally when my mom got up to use the restroom She saw her running and woke me up. I grabbed her and put her back in her cage. We bought her new stuff and A better cage that has more room for her to run. But after a week We went to go play with her but she had passed away....Rip Hayley Forever in my heart ❤️ thank you for reading, love your pets while you can. I just bought myself a hamster. His name is Bean. He is about 8 weeks old. First i brought him home he was very curious of everything. He was so sweet. He make me smile all the time. On 5th October 2020 I was on my way home from school and my mom called me and told me that Bean is dead. He got stuck under his wheel. I don't know how it happened. I think he got frustrating to get out and died of shock. First i was a little sad, mad and confused. But when i got home i held him into my hands and all i feel is his cold little body. It used to be so warm... I started to cry. I try my best to keep him happy as well as he did to me.. I put him in a little box with his bedding. I buried him in my back yard with me in tears because I just got him and I didn't thought that he would leave me so soon. I miss my little fluff ball. I hope you are in peace Bean..

I know how you feel, trust me. I had a very Traumatizing event happen to me when I was 12. One day, my parents went on vacation so they took my dogs, Lei Lei and Phoenix to the vet for boarding, while I was staying with my grandparents along with my 4 brothers. Well, when my parents were getting Lei Lei and Phoenix put of the car (btw in case anyone cares they r both Australian Shepards), but Lei Lei got out of her leash. She took off running behind the Target by the vets office and then into the woods. My parents spent days trying to find her and so many people helped. Keep in mind that I did not know about this until after the incident happened So a few days later, my mother spotted Lei Lei underneath a family’s deck. She was scared and hungry. So my parents tried to get her to come out, but Lei Lei refused. The next day, my mother got a call from the police department at 2:00 A.M. The police had horrible news. Lei Lei had been found, but not in a good way. Around midnight, she had wandered into the road behind the woods, and she was practically invisible due to how dark it was. So when a car came speeding down the road, it was clear that the driver didn’t see her. Lei Lei has been hit by that car.😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 To this day (about a year later) I still miss Lei Lei. She was my best friend. I loved her so much. But she “crossed the rainbow bridge” to pet heaven. I guess it was her time. I still have Phoenix, who obviously misses Lei Lei, who was her birth sister. But we are all slowly recovering. And something like this has ever happened to you, It will be ok. Have a great day. Sorry for wasting your time because u read my comment! 😬

I used to have 2 hamsters, jack jack who was born in our home and was trained, and princess peach. The one I trained from the pet store. They were the greatest hamsters. Jack jack passed away from old age, and princess peach died from kidney stones. I don’t remember jack jack but I remember peach. She was cold, and was not breathing. I cried so hard because I had her for so long. Now I have a hamster named ginger and she is trained now but she is just loud.

I have loads of pets as well! 2 Grey Dwarf Hamsters, 3 Dogs, 2 Donkeys, 2 Peacocks, 2 Axolotls, 1 Marbled Gecko, 3 Hermit Crabs, 1 Galah, 5 Pigeons, And Tons of Fish. And since I live on a big property, I have plenty of space for other animals!
when your pet dies you dont get a new pet as a replacement but you get them because you want to ease the pain than you get attached and the cycle reapeats

All in the comments I'm seeing stories about their pets dying so I'm going to tell a story.
So I was at my grandma's house and I asked where my cat was and they said he was in hospital.
The next day, word got received that he just had a stroke. I was obviously bawling my eyes out...
Then they called and said he was still alive and doing fine so I was happy.
Then , the worst happened.. The doctors have him medicine and it paralyzed him and he was gone... The only cat that I knew that actually loved me, was gone... If anybody loses pets its sad. But I watched this and other stories and I started to feel a little bit better.

My wonderful long haired Syrian hamster died. He was 4 years old, so he was an old man. He bit me once, but after that he was so gentle and careful towards me.
Also, my pet budgie died. He was also very happy and loved to chirp. But, once when I got home from a trip, he was dead in his cage. My family and I had asked someone to take care of him, but CLEARLY they didn’t do their job.
These two experiences were heartbreaking, especially for my 7 and 9 year old selves. I hope no one has to suffer as me and the girl in the story did, or anyone else whose lost a dear pet for that matter. Rip, all the wonderful animals who have been loved that have died. ❤️❤️❤️

This reminds me when I had a turtle when I was 8 years old. I got a turtle for my birthday because I loved turtles so much. Everyday when I went to school, I couldn't wait to play with him. At some point, at late night I would take him out of the cage and play with him. On day I was changing the water and I didn't know how hot the water was. I was going to bed and my brother barges in. He said to come to the living room. So I did and my mom said "I'm sorry, but Bobby is dead" I cried like crazy. I didn't stop. My mom comfort me until I stopped. We had a special funeral for him. I made him a box that looked the ocean. Now he is heaven swimming freely. I was heartbroken, and that was 4 years ago. The sad thing is, his first birthday didn't pass. I didn't get to celebrate one with him. I would celebrate his birthday every year forever. His is 4 years old now.

When my mom was 14/15 her older brother needed a math tutor. The tutor went to my grandpa's farm and brought his daughter, Meghan because she loves horses and my grandpa has horses. Over time my mom and Meghan became best friends, Megan would spend a week at my grandpa's house. She also helped my mom pick out her new horse a 6 year old thoroughbred that she named Chi (kai ). A few years later my mom is about 39 and Meghan is in her early thirty's and has two kids. One morning Megan's husband wakes up to his son yelling "mommy mommy" he checks every where for her, but when he checks the barn he finds Meghan hanging herself she is already dead. About eight months ago my mom noticed that Chi's eye was red she had this feeling that something was wrong. Last Tuesday I went to my grandpa's house to swim and Chi was completely fine, he cantered up the hill to go get his dinner, but little did we know that would be the last time he will canter. On Wednesday Chi went blind and he would only stay in this small spot on where the ground was level. He would never explore the big beautiful paddock again. Yesterday we visited the farm and Chi was not in good shape his eye was bulging out, he had bumps and bruises because he kept bumping into things, and he was really tight in his back end. Today, (Monday June 15, 2020 at 5:30 pm) Chi was just put down. We wanted to do it before he started suffering. I don't know yet but they may have put down their other horse Magic if they don't find a companion for her. As of today Chi is 28 years old and has lived 22 years on the farm. This hit my mom hard, she said "I'm sad he's dying because in a way he is my last living piece of Meghan"
Chi we love you and miss you. You were such a good friend, thank you for 22 beautiful years.

My first pet was a cat and I named him Jackfrost and he was crazy. He clawed my curtain and he was cute.. Which he would comfort me when I would cry and it made me feel loved.

Sorry to hear that:( but here are some tips.
1. Don't place two Syrian hamsters together, they are very protective of their territory and will fight each other, even killing each other. Only place dwarfs together.
2. If you DO have two (or more) dwarf hamsters, introduce them together when they are young, preferably buy them together wherever you buy them. Two females is better than two males. Try not to keep female and male hamsters together, as they will breed and it's best to leave breeding to the professionals.
3. If you have two hamsters try to get a big cage and two wheels, two food dishes, etc.

I recently lost my hamster, Kimchi.
I was with him in his final moments yet I was unable to help him. All I could do was cry and pray that he'd just be well again. He died in my hands.
I don't know how to move on. Every time I think about my baby, I end up crying and it hurts so much. I try my best but I still can't look at his little house, his toys, even his food without breaking down.
I hope I was able to give you a good life and love you deserved.

I had a brown Syrian hamster called pickle. He was so sweet and he never bit me. I was going to a summer space school, and I changed his cage before I left for a week. I gave him a little clap and said bye to him and my other hamster, cheese, before I left. He was about 3 years old. My gran was at the house with the hamsters and dogs, and I called her every night when I was at space school. On the second night she said to me "just so that you're prepared when you come home, you only have 1 hamster now. Pickle passed away". The news upset me but didn't hit me too hard as I didn't have time to think about it because I was doing activities all day at space school. However, when I got home I went to check on cheese and pickles empty cage was sitting there, just as it was but only without him there. I sat and cried for ages. Cheese was looking for pickle, it broke my heart. That's the one thing I hate about pets. Their time will come, and it breaks any pet owner when it does :( only a few weeks ago I had pickle. I wish I knew he was going soon...

If we care for them and love them while they're still alive, try to make their tiny lives bit better then it's all worth it, don't you think?

I had A dwarf Hamster..She escaped her cage and we couldn't find her for a week. Finally when my mom got up to use the restroom She saw her running and woke me up. I grabbed her and put her back in her cage. We bought her new stuff and A better cage that has more room for her to run. On 5th October 2020 I was on my way home from school and my mom called me and told me that Bean is dead. He got stuck under his wheel. I don't know how it happened. I think he got frustrating to get out and died of shock. First i was a little sad, mad and confused. But when i got home i held him into my hands and all i feel is his cold little body. It used to be so warm... I started to cry. I try my best to keep him happy as well as he did to me.. I put him in a little box with his bedding. I buried him in my back yard with me in tears because I just got him and I didn't thought that he would leave me so soon. I miss my little fluff ball. I hope you are in peace Bean..

I know how you feel, trust me. I had a very Traumatizing event happen to me when I was 12.
One day, my parents went on vacation so they took my dogs, Lei Lei and Phoenix to the vet for boarding, while I was staying with my grandparents along with my 4 brothers.
Well, when my parents were getting Lei Lei and Phoenix put of the car (btw in case anyone cares they r both Australian Shepards), but Lei Lei got out of her leash. She took off running behind the Target by the vets office and then into the woods.
My parents spent days trying to find her and so many people helped.
Keep in mind that I did not know about this until after the incident happened
So a few days later, my mother spotted Lei Lei underneath a family’s deck. She was scared and hungry. So my parents tried to get her to come out, but Lei Lei refused.
The next day, my mother got a call from the police department at 2:00 A.M. The police had horrible news.
Lei Lei had been found, but not in a good way. Around midnight, she had wandered into the road behind the woods, and she was practically invisible due to how dark it was.
So when a car came speeding down the road, it was clear that the driver didn’t see her.
Lei Lei has been hit by that car.😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
To this day (about a year later) I still miss Lei Lei. She was my best friend. I loved her so much. But she “crossed the rainbow bridge” to pet heaven.
I guess it was her time.
I still have Phoenix, who obviously misses Lei Lei, who was her birth sister. But we are all slowly recovering.

I used to have 2 hamsters, jack jack who was born in our home and was trained, and princess peach. The one I trained from the pet store. They were the greatest hamsters. Jack jack passed away from old age, and princess peach died from kidney stones. I don’t remember jack jack but I remember peach. She was cold, and was not breathing. I cried so hard because I had her for so long. Now I have a hamster named ginger and she is trained now but she is just loud.
