- Samzon (Totoy) the best 3 wall big ball player vs John (Rookie) the legendary 1 wall big ball player. The WEST vs The EAST... This was the most anticipated game of the tournament. One game to 25 points. Rookie (the east) came out on top 25-19. Great game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
but one thing i have to hand to samzon is that young man plays with tremendous heart.

The shot of the match? Totoy's cross-court to the right corner off his left at 16:20. Brilliant! Excellent 1 wall game for a 3 wall player. I wonder how Rookie would fare against Totoy on HIS 3-wall turf? That'd be one I'd watch too! :-)

Thanks for posting the vid. Interesting playing conditions. The courts are obviously slippery, and I'm guessing the altitude in Tuscon is higher than in NY because Rookie seems winded. ...Reminds me of how tennis players have to adjust to different court conditions around the world.

woah are they wearing goggles? what's the purpose of goggles? Protects your eyes from getting hit?.. We got 3 wall in our country Philippines in our school.. These guys are so tough and can rally for a long time.. nice game!

I agree with you noble king no matter were your from if you play good handball you play good handball. But i dont think no one plays 1wall in AZ. We in Los Angeles CA didnt even play 1wall before this tournament in AZ!!!

That was an awesome game! Shit is way different with only 1-wall. Almost a completely different game. I've noticed how bad Rookie and Pee-Wee did against Samzon when they all played 4-wall in another video somewhere on youtube. I'm from NYC and have been adjusting to 3-wall out here and was thinking about checking out the courts in buena park since that's where the best supposedly play according to an article i read. Which park is the "A" park? When do most people play?

Like i said i was there but don't remember didn't watch the game or the vid to this day...it was the begging of great competition and a great experience!!! We're starting to play a bit more 1 wall.....you will see a lot more videos of Cali vs NY matches on the near future. Vegas and Simple Green!

I played 3 wall the first time I went to Cali. It was fun as hell!! (im a 1 wall player) Adjusting to it wasn't that hard but it wasn't easy. I just kept playing it as tho it was one wall.
people commenting dont know what they're talking about. rookie wasnt going hard? lol yeah right!! I give samzon an A+ in the heart department. Granted, rookie was not on his 'A' game in rhis match. Samzon would do well against most 'A' players in nyc. Sam is fun to watch. The kid has a lot of passion. Give him credit for at least that much

My bad noble king....it wasnt last year when Samson and Sal went. They went on 2010. The tournament here in AZ was March 2011. I think those were the only guys that he played. With Peewee i think it was 2-1 games and the other i think they only played one game not so sure...
Well my opinion they mayb the same game but coming from back east real handball is pkayed on one wall, that three wall stuff was actually made for raquet ball which is called squash believevit or not. But NEW YORK has the true players in all five boroughs, so you have your pick where you want to play. You know i love this game and always will no matter what i live out west now and just will love to find an outdoors court to pkay some games so if anyone knows where there are handballcourts out here hit me up please. Javier you said you played in Vegas where at in Vegas do they have 1 wall courts?
In Vegas we have the WPH (World Players of Handball) 3 Wall Handball outdoor World Championships & the 1 Wall International Cup every SEPTEMBER on the parking lot of the STRATOSPHERE. This year will be from 9 -24 to 27- 2015. Kid Justin from NY told me he went to play some locals 1 Wall on some courts near by BUT i don't no where they are. Keep in contact and i'll find out for you the location of those 1 Wall courts!!!

@metaminerx sorry to disappoint you but that was seen 2010 the same day we played this tourney. There is a video where Samzon played Rookie n Peewee with his weak hand in 4 wall and beat them! And 3 wall Rookie could do anything vs B players in Las Vegas 2010. Peewee was playing good tho in 3walls 2011.
What kind of ball is being used for this match?

nategetsirate you can go to Hollydale park in Southgate CA. saturdays after noon and find top A' players. or on sundays to Buena park after 10:00 am.
these two great players seem to me to have similar styles (both use the straight-arm swing a lot)

+m sorry for the late reply but i don't remember were this school is at. But its a private school and only the students there play there. One more thing, 2009 they held the first tournament there. It was small ball tournament. The next year 2010 it was the big ball tourney. Ever since NOTHING has been done there. Sorry and good luck i hope you find some handball games out there!

JoeFangZ Rookie did make a few mistakes but Totoy also made some good shots. Lets not take nothing from both great players. But im sure next 1wall tournament will be very very interesting because we are going to practice more 1wall than last year. We only practice for about 2 months.

I'd hope it wouldn't be a challenge. 4wall is extremely different from 1wall. Samzon still has the fundamentals to play 1wall but Rookie has absolutely no experience with 4wall. I play hball myself from time to time after work and if you don't play 4wall regularly you will easily lose touch in that field. This video just shows Rookie being a better player overall.
No disrespect to Samzon. He's still an amazing player. Hoping to see more vids from these two players.

Agree! Some people just say stuff because they can say it but is not a fact!!! I was there i know how hard they were playing! Rookie as well as Samzon. Do you know who won? NOT Rookie because he got hurt. I don't know witch game with sam or gio but those courts are SLIPPERY. Samzon already played some of the best from NY.
Dude Samzon (totoy) and Sal went to nyc last year....Samzon went to play Rookie because he wanted to play the LEGEND...but Rookie was hurt. Samzon played peewee, herman, base ball chris, shooter and he beat them all.

I don't remember what park I played Jav, it was in 09. It was nx to the beach and it was pack. Ppl wanted to play me for money just cuz I was from NY. I won 2 out of 3.

Mr. Flores. Rookie and the NY'ers will get embarrassed in 3 wall because we don't play it out here...kinda hard to master 3 wall with just going to those events once in a while. But when it comes to ONE WALL...Rook is has been and will for ever be the best ONE WALL player to ever hit the ball. As much as I hate to admit it...LOL. I've beat him many times, but in tourneys...he's a machine..diferent person. He's too old now to master 3 wall..Timbo n Geo are still young enought 2 try it thoguh

Hey noble king thats why my title is THE BEST vs THE LEGEND....because Samzon is the BEST here in 4wall, 3wall,2wall and now that we play a little bit of handball in 1wall his the best! Late 2010 he wanted to play the best in 1wall so he went looking for Rookie but when he got to NYC Rookie was injure!
I did pretty good on the 3 wall considering it was my first time. I love the one wall cuz it like more fast paste. 3 wall I feel I'm to contained, but I like it tho.

well dont be because Sam is a better all around player than Rookie! Samson went to NY to play the Legend but Rookie told him he was injure so Sam play other one wall players out there and BEAT them. Sam played Peewee and came out even I think it was 1-1 or 2-2. Lets see your best player come out here and play on our courts. What you think might happen????
and for your info! we only practice about two moths for our first ever 1wall tourney!!! so if we had practice at least a year the out come was going to be different. Peewee KNOWS we dont play 1wall here! He came and got beat not by Samzon but by Boxer on 1wall. For your info!

he got hurt playing against gio. He was serving to gios left but when he twisted his body, his left foot stood stationary to the right. he should have kept his left foot more to the left
you can't compare 1 wall handball and 4 or 3 wall handball the play style differs too much to compare the two. It's like me comparing a tennis player to a badminton player the concept is the same but the play style is different

Samzon was there last year (2011) and landed a lot of killers while playing Peewee, Herman, shooter n others. He didnt play Rookie because rookie was injured. But Samzon wanted and asked rookie to play. It already happen where you been....oh your just like the other people that dont play the top NY players and just TALK......
These guys got some game. Big guy has a real nice cross body shot. But I didn't see any type of drive game? I think I could beat these with just my drive. Plus they don't relly want to see my kill shot anyways aint no getting that son!!

One thing I noticed about Totoy in these TH-cam videos is that a lot of times he lazily nonchalants his serves. Mind you that I will never even be 10% the player he is. Anyway I noticed he used a couple trick serves that got him some easy points. He feigned serving to his left and serves it right and Rookie was unable to answer. I don't care what sport it is, if you can get some easy gimme points you'll take it.
