That older lady is spot on in most of what she said. Shes got a realistic outlook on life and doesnt live in fairy land like some of the others who were interviewed.
Because she has a failed marriage so of course she has that outlook. I'd she's not divorced her husband and her don't like each other anymore at all.

I met a lot of (asian) women like these who say they will dump their boyfriend if they caught them cheating. But if their boyfriend is ridiculously handsome (Kpop standard), they would be total simps and forgive them endlessly.
I've seen it happen way too many times.

man and woman are different, when man cheat, he only want sex, when woman cheat, she not only want sex, thats the difference, one man can pregnant hundred womans, a woman only can get pregnant one time for one men.
It's not equal though, because men and women aren't equal. Men are biologically polygamous and women are biologically monogamous for preservation of the human race. And men have plenty of gender roles to fulfill and sexual exclusivity doesn't weigh as high on the priority list as it does for women.

If you want multiple women then marry those you want (who are willing) and provide for them all, including all the children you'll be having. I find it mildly amusing that despite almost all interviewees would concede that women now also cheat at a high rate, some even as high as 60% but none of them would ever cheat under any circumstance, ever. Also, despite seemingly rather negative views on cheating, many won’t hesitate in trying to helping their friend in covering up the act of cheating
For whatever reason the average person's idea of friendship is unquestioned loyalty with zero criticism.
Those of us who want our friend to be better by giving them the truth and those who can accept that are a minority.
yes... convenience and politics plays a stronger role than morality. Morality usually alienate desire and instinct, both are a force of nature. Also, cheating is not a crime, it is different than covering up a murder. The path of peace and least effort is to just cover up your friend as either police or the cheated partner wont do anything against you despite your help.

Which goes to show that one has to take these interviews with a pinch of salt. If a woman believes 60% are cheating, chances are she and her friends are in that 60%.. And the truth is, they also think they can cheat but their partners shouldn't. They just never use the word "swingers" which in reality is what they are

another thing to note is how willingly the previous generations said the truth about cheating. there have been many cases where infidelity has only been found in the current generation's investigation of their family tree, which meant their ancestors weren't honest about cheating. everyone likes to think it's the current generation where sexuality is most expressed, and cheating has become the norm, etc, but in reality such practices have always existed for thousands of years. The difference is honesty
they know they are probable not the child from the 2 parents, but from 2 different persons....... if 30% cheat.....

There are many cases where the guy does everything for his wife, caring and spending a lot of attention towards her, but in the end she still CHEATS. so its an individual problem.

@@malakatan3235 You think it was better before? I read a book by an American born in Fujian named John Caldwell into a missionary family. He learned Fujianese before he learned English. Fascinating book about life in China a hundred years ago and it was no picnic for women then either. Baby girls were left outside to die and would be eaten by animals at night just like in places like Pakistan where girls would be left out in the sun to die. At least Chinese women have rights today. Caldwell's book is called The China Coast family and you can still find it online.
