- I WENT TO DAVAO CITY, BUT ALONG THE WAY HAD A BIG MESSAGE TO SHARE IN TAGUM...
This is just another video of my life in the Philippines. It starts off in Cateel, where we discuss a unique fish breakfast and the meaning of the name. From there, we head off to Compostela, and find a delicious eatery we have never tired. Tagum City, and a quick stop at Lambo Food Park where I will be having my #BecomingFilipino trivia night August 5th... and then off to Davao!
We had a few things to buy and errands to run in Davao. Heading to Uyanguren area of the city... we hit up Luz Kinilaw, and then go hardware shopping.

Many translations for Baga. Baga for lungs, the organ in your thoracic region near your heart Baga, also means thickness of an object. Another one Baga, bagaa a hot pieces of fiery wood you used to cook your fish or meat with. Of course, the meaning changes base on how you pronounce the word. Lol! They call the fish baga that is red because it is red in color like it is flaming 🐠🐠🐠🔴🔴🔴
And they call it isda sa bato in bisaya because it looks like a stone and it has a lot of pin bones 🐠🐠🐠
You never get tired of looking those nilupak which is a mashed banana with corn grits sometimes they use cassava 🍌🌽🍠
And the rice field looked like grassland 🌾🌾🌾
It is the scenery that you liked to view in the Philippines 🌾🌾🌾🇵🇭
And Wala is for left in bisaya and tuo is for right in bisaya.
And in tagalog it is kanan for right and kaliwa for left.
And in Spanish is demano for left and descelia for right 🇪🇸
And you ate on the eatery that they served sea food 🐟🐠🦑🦐🦞🦀
They began there operations 58 years ago.
58 years ago it wasn’t much developed.
And the roads in Rural Areas are rough roads 🪨🪨🪨
And the concreted in 43 or 44 years ago and 53 years ago 🛣
53 years ago that most of the roads in Rural areas that were concreted it is a 1 lane road 🛣
And they converted it into 2 lanes 43 or 44 years ago 🛣
And tawid gutom is like you are crossing to hunger before you eat.
And Kumar is crossing to hunger in the traffic and before dinner having an American style cracker AKA sky flakes because it has red white and blue logo and he put some sandwhich spread and mayonnaise on it 🍘🍶🇺🇸
And Kumar bought a bread and a sandwich spread for crossing the hunger 🍞🍶
And you wrote on the cartoon paper saan ang mga Beshie is like they are referring it on a TV show 📺
And you passed on the flyover in Tagum.
They named it Tagum because there are lots of Tagum grass in Tagum City before 🌱🌱🌱
Same in Gitagum Misamis Oriental they named it Gitagum because they let drink Tagum juice that those who got sick that is why they call it Gitagum 🌱🍵

Kulas, We’re called Kulasas - HS & Elementary from St. Scholastica’s Academy in San Fernando Pampanga; now residing in Anchorage, AK. UST in college & I still go home; every year - have a house in QC. I’m glad to see the places I’ve never been too only the cities I go to; Davao City, Iligan City, Cagayan de Oro city, etc. I never explore though like you do now so I’m amazed more of Philippines & proud to be Pinoy👏👍🎉❤️🙏

you are partly correct about uso2x, despite the fact that it is meant trending but it is called as such because it runs/drives like hell more like fast & the furious kinna like, always in a hot seat for the LTOs so you could just imagine riding with speed like that - its nerve wreaking for beginners and it is not for the feint of heart, it is not about the form or how it looks but how it drives, the rest we call it "halang" coz they drives sooo slow😅😅 that if you have an appointment you will surely be late hehe - the normal, classic jeepneys and such. the uso2x originated in Toril if am not mistaken.

In late August, I'll be taking a very long road trip from Central Florida to the Chicagoland area (where I grew up) to Detroit to Windsor to Torono to Montreal to Vancouver to Washington State to Oregon to San Francisco to San Jose to LA to San Diego to Arizona to New Mexico to Texas to Louisiana to Mississippi to Alabama and back to Florida 8,500 - 9,000 miles. When I used to live in Chicago, I used fish 🐟 in Canada 🇨🇦 a lot.
