So far you're the only cruisers (TH-cam) who have actually explored the Cabo Verde islands rather than treat them as a provisioning and launch port for the Atlantic crossing. Well done and thank you, they look well worth checking out in greater depth.
You two do an excellent job with a good mix of sightseeing and sailing. This one old retired guy who appreciates your effort. Please keep up the good work and safe travels.
Nice video Malin, I enjoy following your adventures. I admire your custom sailboat. RAN has beautiful lines and appears very comfortable and seaworthy. In one of your earliest videos, you gave a brief boat tour. I would appreciate if you guys would give a more detailed in depth tour down below and on deck. Also, Johan could dive much deeper; discuss rigging, electronics and navigation, autopilot vs vane, galley tour, onboard entertainment, fresh water system, and anchoring techniques. I know you're a great sailor and can teach us a few things.
Not a fan of the heights, but I did giggle at Malin’s face when eating apples,,,,,,,,,/),,,,,,,,,fair winds. Drone is fantastic. You make us feel like we were with you. Thank you.
Of all the sailing couples on YT, you guys are our fave. No clickbait needed here. Not to say Malin isn't sexy. Great editing skills too. King Kong island? lol
What a brilliant guide on your visit to that island, fabulous scenery - can you imagine the hard physical work to construct all that terracing on those steep slopes! Loved the fast sailing at the end with the boat healed over like that.
I like it how you both took time to explore the many Canarie islands before you embarked on your journey to the Caribbean. Thanks for some excellent video footage of these amazing places! Crazy mountainous terrain on this island! Such incredible beauty! Its amazing what a special tour you can get when you make acquaintance with a special local guide. You both had quite a treat from your driver! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you again for showing such interesting and seldom visited islands. I guess they used to be the pathway to Central and South America in the 1500's.
Wow! Thank you again for sharing these gems of the world. This island is so amazing in its natural beauty, as seen through your eyes, that I expect that it will still be one of the more memorable overall sights you visit in your journey.
Loved this vid. You guys are getting so good at editing. The music was just perfect, not too loud etc. Nice island and apparently good pick for driver and tour guide. You two are also a nice couple. Cheers!
Hi Malin & Johan. Another great video which certainly brightened-up a cold, wet day here in the UK! Fair winds and calm seas when you cross 'the pond' soon. Lycka till!
Another Brilliant video guys, very well done. I always look forward to your next one, keeps my dream alive to follow you & get sailing. Keep them coming & fair seas as always.
I just recently learned of your channel I saw a comment on project Atticus about a babysitter on your channel and here I am) and I am caught up on the boat building and farm ones, so I thought I’d go back to the beginning. Really enjoying your adventures! This one is especially relaxing to watch. Love the mix of tourism and sailing and boat repairs. The story of the mahi-mahi and the marlin and the shark was a mind blower, as was the recent Antarctic misadventure miniseries! Love this channel, can’t wait to see all eps!
Hello, just some outstanding views and steep mountains, I am amazed to see people living and farming on the mountainsides, beautiful sailing pictures, surprised that the people of the community did not try to put in dams to save some of the run off water!
You are true travellers so nice that you have taken the time to make your videos interesting and informative, your film editing and music work’s well together don’t stop. I went back to episode 1 and watched them from the start of your adventures “magic”
Yes looks like the island King Kong would rule! Cape Verde looks amazing - we're currently deciding if we're going to race across the Atlantic with the ARC, but if not then Cape Verde definitely looks like a great stop on our itinerary!
Ha Ha 3 fish on one lure made me lol How much was the guided tour as it was awesome scenery you two are becoming my favorites on here as im going to follow you oct/nov 17
Brilliant, thank you :) I arrived in Trogir, Croatia on Tuesday, and have been onboard our new yacht since !!! Have been busy going through everything, and a lot of time cleaning the interior :( About to have my third night onboard, and feeling like home already :) Looking forward to meeting you both some time in the Pacific :) John and Katie - New Zealand.
Hi Malin! I think you should try "sea bands", I think that is the name in english, in swedish it is "sjösjukeband". These are wrist bands that when properly placed put a pressure on a spot on your wrist that has to do with sickness. my wife has never been seasick since she started using those 5 years ago. Thanks for your interesting videos, i wish you the best of luck.
A quince/s should be stewed (cooked sliced add some sugar till soft then they are yummy! Or you can make jams/jellies (preserves) out of it and eaten on toast or bread and quince jam/jelly.

lol I can't believe you guys never tasted quince before. It grows all over Europe, I dunno about the north though. You cannot really eat it raw, the best way is preserved in syrup or as a jam, it loses all its bitterness after it's processed and tastes like pear almost...
I have to stop long enough to say what charming and sweet-natured videos these are. Lovely couple.

Agreed. These videos have been great.
oceandrew I’d go there

Great video, cape verde really has a special feel to it. Its so African yet so Portuguese. Its a shame there is so much poverty.
Thanks guys.
Thank You. Another fantastic video! And thanks for the sailing at the end - I especially liked the shots of the instruments.

You can do both with the ARC+, sail across Atlantic and they stop in Cape Verde

Hope you get a good sail south. Cheers!
All the best for your crossing. Yes I'll be doing the same in a few weeks.
Great adventure!
Curious about the boat. As I understand, it’s a one Off, so no CE rating?
Did you have it stability rated?
Fair winds!
Good one ✌🏻️
Great video

I liked you on facebook...from me bluetequila to you...peace & love...Capt. Rob Florida USA
Wait... RAN was dark blue, when did RAN become gray??? How did I miss that? What episode did it happen, or have I been mistaken this whole time?
We repainted RAN in may 2015 and before that she was dark blue :)
Have you noticed the likes ratio? :)
Use some gloves and pull the fish in with your hands the reel is to slow ,Rob
bottom needs a scrub, lot of weed down there :-)
is that a small tattoo on your right arm near your wrist?
lol I can't believe you guys never tasted quince before. It grows all over Europe, I dunno about the north though. You cannot really eat it raw, the best way is preserved in syrup or as a jam, it loses all its bitterness after it's processed and tastes like pear almost...
That's what I thought they were as well, although the Portuguese term for them put me off.
