Thought the creative decision to include “fafafafafafa-football, gimme gimme gimme the ball, ‘cause I’m gonna PUNT IT” was genius, a shame the you cut it.
Way to be a super professional, highly creative member of the team and to be mixed so low in the final production it's all about integrity. Good on you, Jake. Rims!!
This is super cool. Great to see an example of executing written parts and the freedom to make choices in context of the track. DB booster= boosting the DB. Pro content
The NFL teaser was amazing, but the instant replay version was hitting even harder (obviously, because of the more present percussions and no voice-over)
This was so bad ass man, good for you dude! The fucking NFL game of the WEEK THATS HUGE! Sounded fantastic! I actually just heard the commercial! It is running on your video lol! You gotta be pumped!
Awesome representation of the percussion background music. Exciting, pivotal, and inspiring. Dig the bronze snare, Camco and Gretsch combination as well as Roto-Toms!
I really really appreciate you going through all that effort to share with us. I wonder how long did it take you from getting the gig to the finished song?
Thanks! Lucas called on a Sunday. We booked the session for Wednesday of that week. Took about 2 hours to record/engineer everything. Lucas listened in via Audiomovers to approve everything. It was mixed on Thursday and aired on that Sunday.
I had no idea what something like this looks like in the recording process. Seeing all those toms and the music reminds me of high school drum line ha. Great job, sounds so rad. Thanks for sharing.
I haven't been a subscriber for very long, and was not aware of your level of professionalism, until now....great video. I'm old, own drums, can't play them, don't put the time in, I just go downstairs and hit them for an hour or two occasionally, but I love deep sounding drums, picked up an 18" floor tom to go with my 16", love hitting them. Changed to a 6.5 x 14" snare for the lower end. I realized that I don't even know any basic "fills" so I was told to put a second computer and big screen down in the basement beside the drums and just play TH-cam videos and learn some basic fills, and I will get hooked on playing. I'm off work right now and have 24 hours a day to practice if I want to, at least it will get me out of this lazy boy and into something I love … Playing drums. PS: I kinda gave up after buying the 18" floor tom because it sounds better than my kick drum, so I purchased proper new batter and resonant heads, new kick pedal, new beaters and STILL I can't get my kick drum to sound good ...and then I got the bad news, the music shop salesman said I bought Yamaha Stage Custom drums with a 22" x 18 kick drum Birch shell, and you just can't get any bass out of those cheap drums ... now I stopped playing them. 22" kick Drum heads: New EMAD 2 with small foam insert, Evans EQ3 5" ported resonant head. No inside or outside damping, drums set up in a concrete basement floor with thin carpet, wood and gyproc walls, two large soft couches, wooden computer desk, steel filing cabinet, wooden stand , glass coffee table, 2 glass end tables, textured ceiling, rectangle room, drums at very end of 22 by 12 room. Give you an idea of my acoustics because one guy said my drum room is making my kick drum dead. . . I don't know.
I wish I could pay you and Sean to just play simmery minimal grooves for me all day. Amazing video! Many thanks to you and Sean for your time and wisdoms ⚡️
I don't know why but as a european I'm really having a hard time making my brain understand that football doesn't mean soccer. I've been trying for 38 years but it doesn't get it.
RIMS!!!

Thanks! Yep, that’s usually the case when there’s dialogue, but as long as the check clears … oh also don’t forget about 8:45
Love the check! Don’t worry I stayed till the end. Epic!
Jake is indeed a super professional highly creative member of a team.
