Presto Hot Air Popper stopped working and smoked yesterday evening but now working

I use this Presto Hot Air Popcorn Popper to make popcorn every evening for a healthier snack. It started to smoke and stopped working. After I let it set and tried it again it still wouldn't work. I tried it again this morning and still it wouldn't work. Go figure it is now working after I called and emailed the company about it.
