There are going to be a good amount of characters who unfortunately will not become playable characters in Smash.
But it's still interesting to think about what kind of move sets these characters can have if they were playable, so that's why I'm here today.

Mistakes in the video:
Me calling Izanagi's weapon a sword. It's a Naginata.
I called it a sword simply because I didn't know what the weapon was called at first, and when I tried researching it, I couldn't find anything that clarified what it was, so I defaulted to sword.
LOL I didn't know who the character even was
yeah the handle is longer than a normal sword but it isn't really wielded like a Naginata in this case so, fair.
I knew something was wrong when the appearance of that "sword" was the same as Impa's Secondary weapon in Hyrule Warriors

Good moveset! One small correction: Izanagi uses a naginata, not a sword. Naginata's are important to Izanagi's lore and are his signature weapons

@@BrawlFan1 I understand not knowing that it's specifically called a Naginata, but I don't understand why you settled for calling it a sword when it's clearly a polearm weapon. Using "Lance" or "Spear" for shorthand would've been the first thing to come to my mind.

Cuz he doesn't really use it much like a spear. He swings it, you're not really supposed to swing a spear, you stab them.
Naginatas, like swords, can be swung, thanks to their flat blade.

Another option for the costume change would be the "hardboiled look". This would be a direct reference to dojima, as the costume was made to replicate his usual clothing.
To me Yu in Smash would seem like a "lite" version of Sephiroth, a little low on power than him but has more speed, a decent swordfighter with a persona, and pretty much an honest straightforward approach all in all. That also just happens to be his character, honest and straightforward.
I would like to see Rico Rodriguez from the Just Cause series. He could have a really cool moveset with a lot of options for moving around, like his grappling hook and skystriker wingsuit from Just Cause 4

Now, I'd like to see a moveset for Makoto Yuki (Minato Arisoto) from Persona 3, specifically FES because some of the innovated moved could call upon the fact he can use any weapons in the game except for Strega's weapon.
I would love to see a moveset for Noah from Xenoblade 3. Not just because it's a great game but because with so many classes that are in the game, you could easily make him use a different weapon for almost every move. There is also a lot of potential for cosmetics with costumes referencing other party members (maybe even giving him their outfit entirely) or the armor of... a certain consul. The final smash would obviously have him use one of the two ouroboros commands that he can use in chain attacks. There's just so many things you can do with the concept and so it'd be awesome to see your idea of the moveset!
Do agree and yeah I know who you talking about also that person was in the trailer for The game and want people were able to figure out for other people looking at this comment don't look at the next part of that sentence. Major spoilers for the ending of the game.
That it was Noah to be fair a lot of people were thinking that and N was the one causing the war when he wasn't especially the video that has comments turned off because he created did not want people commenting that he was wrong about his predictions for the game's plot and in that video Z is not even mentioned even though it's pretty obvious that the leader would be named that and that they thought the final boss was going to have stuff to do with x and all the surviving cores that were used to run the conduit are going to be in the game when none of them were will technically the two of them that were the same person worth and that picture at the end of the game that I don't like because it feels like a harem anime it's mostly because of Nia. Anyway the moveset would be fun. I'm just saying a cool thing for them to do would be for us to finally see N And M's mobus from because you don't see it in the game what you can make it look like an evil version of Noah and Mio.
It would be really cool if he used the lucky seven in his final smash, maybe something like in the game where you draw it for some time and use it freely

9:49 Friendly reminder that in Arena, that move has a disgustingly big hitbox.
Like, Yu could cross up with that move and chances are the enemy would get hit by it. Which then Yu can follow up with whatever combo he pleases.

On the topic of Persona characters, I’d like to include some persona characters I’d like to see you(BJ) make a moveset on!:
1.) P3 Protagonist, Door-Kun, Minato, Makoto, whatever you call him.
2.) Adachi from P4.
3.) Elizabeth from P3.
4.) Aigis from P3.
5.) Sophia from P5S.
6.) Wolf from P5S.

8.) Labrys from P4A, with Shadow Labrys as an echo fighter.

I know some of these characters may be hard to make movesets for, due to lack of appearances in fighting games like P4AU, but I feel like you could make it work!
I remember hoping that Kratos would get a moveset back in the Sackboy video, so I’m hoping it’s him. But I’ll be fine with whoever shows up.

I would love to see you do a moveset for Omori, from the game of the same name. I would like to see any character from an RPG Maker get a moveset as RPG Maker games have yet to be represented in Smash Bros, & I think they are an important part of gaming history. I say Omori specifically because I think he has enough reference material for him to be a fighter in smash.

I loved this move set with how it does the persona gimmick in such a different way than Joker or Violet.

The Kid (Bastion) he would be an interesting character to make with all the different weapons he has, maybe you could have a weapon switching system with him.
A Rubber Bandit (Rubber Bandits) This could be a hilarious move-set to see in action with them wobbling around as they move, attack, or being attacked.
Umbra (Blue Fire) Such an underated platformer with cool visuals and one of the best combat systems in a platformer. Plus with that combat system you could easlily make a move-set for him.
Fecto Elfilis (Kirby and the Forgotten Land) Has really menacing abilites with his mind control and the power to just throw popstar into another world.

Also you once said that you keep track of character requests and each person to have requested them, right? Would it be too much trouble to find all the characters I've requested before? I don't want to ask for someone I've already requested by accident.

I would like to request The Demi-fiend from Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne to have a moveset, him or The Nahobino from Shin Megami Tensei V, as I think they both have a lot of potential as great smash characters, and not just be a generic brawler or swordsman (respectively) or just a summoner, as even if that is the main system in MegaTen games, they have so much original moves to them that not including those feels like a huge waste, and while I've seen a handful of Demi-fiend movesets out there, none of them really do a great job of using both, many just use him either as an excuse for a full on summoner character, which as I said, feels like a huge waste, or uses none of the summoning aspects and even resorts to creating unnecessary moves that didn't exist prior, AShadowLink is the only person I know who hasn't done this, but I'd like to see how BJ does it, and as for Nahobino, I've not seen any moveset for him, surprisingly enough, so I'd like to see one, especially from the man BJ, as I think he could do them justice.
I know BJ prolly wants my head on a stick for how much I've asked for the former, and for SMT Characters in general, but my requests remains the same, as I've wanted a good SMT moveset for a hot minute now.
I made my own moveset for Demi-fiend where I relied mostly on the skills from Nocturne only he can learn for his normals and made him a puppet character with one of 4 demons: Pixie, Thor, Girimehkala, and Baphomet (you pick on the chafacter select screen). The demons will attack alongside you when you use your normals, and the specials use the demons' own skills. Your Final Smash is based on which demon you pick: Baal Avatar using Bael's Bane and Radiance for Thor, Noah using an aoe version of Domination for Arahabaki, Ahriman using Apocalypse for Baphomet, and Lucifer using High King for Pixie.
@@demi-femme4821 That's really interesting, thank you for telling me about this, also interesting choice of demons there, most movesets I see SMT related typically only use the Jack Bros and Pixie (and Cu Chulainn in one of them), also, did you happen to post the full moveset anywhere?

@@skell6134 I'm talking about a fan made moveset, not an actual character in the game, obviously neither one has much of chance of being in, because no one is getting in anymore, but that doesn't mean I can't request a moveset now, that's kinda the point of this series, to make movesets for characters that didn't have much chance of getting in the game anyway.

Oh it brightened the heck out of my day seeing this, both because I always enjoy these vids and because of the character it was. I really like the way Inazagi's melded into the moveset and Yu's non-Persona-using moves too. That two form Final Smash is awesome too. The Velvet Room intro to the vid was a nice touch as well.

But we don't have any playstation chareters in smash which is why crash should've been the last fighter instead of sora most of the dlc was anime plus kingdom hearts is kinda lame

As always, wonderful moveset! I love how you incorporate the persona into the moves. On the subject of detectives on the hunt for truth, Professor Layton might make an interesting Smash character--especially if Ace Wright managed to get in. Or, on the subject of school students arguably out of their depth, how about members of the World's End Club?

To be fair, Atlus probably didn’t want to spoil any events in the endgame of Persona 5. (Plus, I don’t think they were willing to basically put the devil himself in a kids game)

Actually, getting Makoto (P3MC) his moveset first would make sense, but what do we do about FEMC? She's a lot different than Makoto, so I doubt we can make her an echo fighter.

Persona 4 Golden is one of if not my favourite game of all time because it was a fun ride that got me through a rough time in the year that shall not be named and I can’t wait to try out Persona 3 Portable and Persona 5 Royal when those come to Xbox and Switch.

This looks great! I just started playing persona 4 arena ultimax recently so this was pretty cool to see. And while your at it for persona characters from Arena Ultimax, I think Adachi would be a great fit for this series. He uses the same(ish) persona as Yu, but would have a vastly different fighting style I think, as shown by the Arena games.
I want to see:
Subject Delta - the Pyro or the Demoman From Tf2 - Skul from Skul the hero slayer (With moves relating to his other skulls he can equip) - The Courier from Fallout New Vagas - Booker DeWitt from Bioshock - A Dart Monkey from BTD (With moves that can come from other monkeys like boomerang or Engineer) - Puppet from Fnaf (With moves ranging from stuns or from Fnaf World) - Cult of the Lamb -

I'm so glad that Yu isn't just Joker with a sword but has a unique moveset. I'd also really like a rhythm based movest for PaRappa form PaRappa the Rapper
One last mechanic that you forgot and would balance out Yu more, the persona shatter mechanic. In arena, when a player uses izanagi and an opponent hits the god, they'll break canceling the attack and removes a card below the health bar or in this case, the percentage Guage. Do this an amount of times (probably make it 3) and the persona will shatter and be unable to be used until the cards recharge (10 seconds recommended). This could punish people for over extending or more fitting, thinking with their hearts instead of their brain. To solve the murder case, the investigation team had to put their emotions aside and put the dots together to find the culprit, like how I think players should think out all their options and choose the best one to make instead of going for an easily punished yet flashy overkill.
That mechanic is unneeded for the context of Smash.
