You're helping to turn the P38 reputation to the positive side of the ledger. Well done!

Here in the US, the P38 was considered as "bland" styling compared to the Classics it replaced. Many thought it looked like any other SUV (such as the Ford Explorer, etc). It is my understanding RR had disappointing sales here until the 322 was released in 2003! Sales rebounded fast because the 322 "looked" like a Range Rover! The P38 was a dramatic improvement compared to the Classic. Same analogy would be when Rolls Royce released the "modern" Silver Shadow replacing the aging Silver Cloud!

Love it! These are so under-rated! We have had these in the family since they were almost new (went to the world wide launch as a kid) and many family friends have had them. There has never been a bad one. I currently have a 2001 Vogue as a daily driver and it has never let us down yet. Thanks for the unbiased reviews.

I love my p38, i know they get a lot of negative press but we have been all over the country in ours and never had a problem, other than an abs/traction control fault which was a sensor. Love the beeps and bongs at the end 🤣

It’s all part of the experience 😂
They do get a lot of negative press but I think people are starting to understand them now.

If you want to give that vehicle a name, may I suggest "Walther"?

I do like that! I thought of Peggy so far. Since the the P stands for Pegasus in P38.

I fitted a unit on my diesel that fools the motor to start in a rich condition even when hot, (usual symptoms for long crank when hot) been fitted for the last four years, starts like a champ all the time.

I also replaced the in tank fuel pump, non of the aftermarket types appeared to have a non return valve incorporated, so I fitted one in the hard line under the bonnet, just to eliminate the potential to back syphon over night, not been an issue since.
