Man i wished the gametoys one was an official licensed product. Maybe it's time square enix give other toy companies a chance to make final fantasy figures
We've been wanting SE to give the FFVII license to a different company for years since their products aren't that great, too expensive and terrible QC, but SE are too stubborn and will never let another company make money off their franchise, they want it all to themselves which is understandable since its their IP, but when it comes to charging the same price for a figure that is far lower quality compared to high quality products like GameToys which are far superior, than its a problem.
I just pre-ordered the FF7 Cloud strife play arts kai ver 2 figure and I'm so exciteeed to get it!! It's my first ever play arts kai figure and as I'm a new and big FF7 fan now I'm so happy. I think the game toys figure look so beautiful too but I can't afford it and it's super rare now. So I'm happy with my play arts kai Cloud figure since that's what I can afford and I think he looks really cool too
The Gametoys Final Fantasy 7 figures are so popular now that you should preorder right away otherwise you'll be paying a massive upcharge on the secondary market. The quality difference between PlayArts Kai and Gametoys is so embarassing yet Square isn't willing to give out or is charging a lot with giving out their license. Their 1/6 Naruto figures are also really great quality and it's licensed too under their Rocket Toys brand. Any plans to get and review their Naruto figures?
Yes I 100% agree, they will be impossible to get once sold out and they're easily the best FFVII figures ever made, they have done a far better job with FFVII figures than Square Enix ever did with PAK. I didnt realise Rocket Toys were apart of Game Toys? Thats super cool thanks for letting me know, I'd love to get some since I have some of the Medicom Naruto figures, maybe someday for sure! Do you have the static arts cloud? I asked the same thing on your Sephiroth video too lol. Wondering your thoughts. I have it but prefer the PAK Face. Plus the bolts on my static arts came broken, gonna have to glue it somehow

GameToys schooling Square Enix on how to do better face sculpting. I have both the recent static arts Cloud and the GameToys Cloud - and GT just blows it away. I have that gametoys cloud too but there is no pleather on the figure at all. The Holsters and Boots are plastik. Also the Torso is technically not Rubber but Silicone.
You're right, the boots are plastic, guess I didnt feel the boots and based it off looks. Thanks for the correction. And yes its silicone, i just say rubber to use a a general term for a soft material. I'm not too familar with the differences between these materials.
Yeah I just seen that on Twitter the other day which is insane. I feel lucky now that I got my PPS Tifa statue, she will be impossible to get now since the seized all the statues and destroyed them.
Just received my Gametoys cloud and fenrir today. Very nice figure. Something that bugs me is the hair. There’s paint bubbles or sculpt bubbles which is sort of an eye sore when you pay good attention to it. A little disappointing that tiny parts of the hair also chipped off as well around the back of the head. Also what is that tiny liquid bottle that came with the fenrir bike? I’m thinking it’s some type of glue but unsure because the labels are in Chinese writing. 🫤
Thats a shame to hear, I had some air bubbles on the sephiroth I think, which didn't look that great but its such a nice figure overall that it didnt bother me that much. It's not glue, I think the oil is to keep the bike lubricated and to stop the joints from causing friction thus damaging the figure, even the Cloud rubber body has oil you'll notice, to stop it from drying out and cracking. You can apply some of that oil when it starts to get dry.
To be honest, the PAK ratio is too small and different from the regular 1/6 ratio. I feel The ratio of PAK is 1/8, which is more reasonable, but why does PAK record the ratio 1/6? Does each company specify different standard size ratios? I don't understand that PAK is the company that owns the copyright to FF 7. They have full copyright rights to everything about FF7 but they make the size smaller compared to the usual 1/6 size standard? PAK they made soulless FF7 versions of the characters. Neither the Thai character nor the character's voice can do that. Even making each character's face as beautiful as the game is not the same, not to mention the perfection and almost absolute beauty compared to Gametoys.
Totally agree they need to do better, especially the for the price of them now, and the quality is horrible for the price too. GameToys are way better value and quality for money.
As soon as I saw the quality of the Gametoys Cloud (Original) years ago I stopped buying the Play Arts Kai models. They are flat out inferior in every way and look like cheap toys. I am all caught up with the Gametoys FF line and will be buying every single one that comes out until they are done. If they start doing other popular game titles, such as Chrono Trigger, FFVI, etc my wallet is going to be in serious trouble.

If they use real materials such as fur combined with molded plastic or if they just go straight plastic with silicone. The one I am looking forward to the most is without question Barret Wallace. I really hope they go all out with him.

I all the different versions of cloud too, but game toys is the best one to date. Probably around the time I can get him, it might be $1000 😭

It’s superglue,probably in case the tiny magnets fall out
