I've been eyeballing these Gametoys figures for a while now. As a big PAK collector, these Gametoys really have me captivated. No way of really knowing what these unlicensed products will entail until you take a gamble and purchase, or watch reviews like this after, by which time the products are sold out. I hope they re-issue this Cloud, Daytona, and Sephiroth. Truly quality products befitting the license.
I hope they do a reissue too because people miss out for reasons beyond their control. Not to mention, GT did really come out of nowhere so it’s hard to justify putting so much faith in them all of a sudden. Plus, it incentivizes consumers to grow their collections. Personally, I wouldn’t even be getting anything from GT in the future if I didn’t already have core characters like Cloud and Sephiroth. But hey, let’s hope they’ll at least stick around to do figures for whenever Remake Part 2 drops 😉
I had to cancel my ore orders of cloud and Daytona and sephiroth. Life happens. But I just scored a new zack fair and a displayed for a week only cloud strife. Trying to find sephiroth now.

It's supposed to be a character made in Japan, but I can't help but wonder why this quality hasn't come out. I am grateful to have met such a loyal Cloud figure. Booked a cloud for AC. I'm looking forward to it.
100% agree. Over the years, I've collected my fair share of Play Arts Kai figures from the official Square-Enix . While the quality is arguably better, it certainly isn't keeping up with how much the price has gone up. Their militant approach to their IP's also guarantees that they have little competition in this space. Unlicensed products like this Cloud by Gametoys is certainly a moral gray area. But at the end of the day, I believe fans just want to spend their hard-earned money on a good product, which Square-Enix had made very clear that they aren't going to provide.
I was only recently exposed to Gametoys as a brand and I have already fallen in love. The mastery of the face and head sculpt and just how skillfully everything has been crafted together to make this figure look like cloud walked right out of your screen is amazing. PAK should really be taking notes.
The front to back swing on the seamless arms have gotten a little soft unfortunately, all because the metal pegs had worn the socket down a bit over time. This design flaw was remedied with Zack's release. The sideway swing for the arms are still very strong though. Not too shabby I guess 😅

Agreed!! Imagine if they did a re-issue when FF7R Part 2 comes out. It might help them consider making the rest of the characters too. Personally, I wouldn't even consider their Barret if I missed out on their Cloud...and I'm willing to bet there are others out there who feel the same. So getting more Clouds out there is likely a good thing.
@@ElbearToys Yeah, I'm relatively new to collecting and have only bought from sideshow so I didn't even know that it existed. By the time I found it he was sold out everywhere. If nothing else I think Gametoys need more of a social media presence or they could just make a couple thousand more.
GameToys is kind of an enigma if I'm being honest. They came out of nowhere less than 2 years ago with their first release (an unlicensed Ichigo from Bleach). No one knew if they could deliver. But they did...twice. Both releases were absolutely incredible. Then they dove into the FF7R line. I hear they aren't easy to reach too, likely because they wanna avoid getting served from potential copyright holders. I don't read Chinese but at some point, there was a post in the forums I follow, which said that GameToys was served with a cease and desist while they were Ichigo was in production. So social media presence is likely out of the question. But my goodness...I hope there's someway to get the message across that they need to print more Clouds.

I'm starting to have the same problem too. It started out OK but the metal peg eroded the socket a bit so the up/down swing is very soft. I haven't tried this myself but I was thinking about wrapping the peg with either a sheet of paper or plastic wrap as to give it more friction against the socket. Coincidentally enough, Gametoys is aware of the issue and had improved the joint with Zack. That review is coming up by the way. Super delayed with shipping and other stuff. Please stay tuned~

@@luigivaccariellos9379 Oh no...I have a feeling even GameToys knew of their design flaw so they reinforced that peg in particular for Zack. May I suggest wrapping the metal peg with a sheet of paper or some kind of wrap to increase the surface area for friction? Or better yet, just swap back to the jointed arms for now. Mine's still OK (for now), and I'm ready to fallback on the jointed ones if it means still having a working figure.

Unfortunately, this one has been long sold out from normal retailers. So the only way to get one now is through private aftermarket trading platforms like eBay or AliExpress (both are risky at inflated prices). But worry not, prices are usually fairer when a new release first drops, and GameToys' Advent Children Cloud should be just around the corner (if not later this year). And if that's not your cup of tea, who's to say GameToys won't stick around for Cloud 2.0 when Rebirth comes out 😉
That VTS counterpart looks goofy beside the GT release. It's arguably the quintessential Cloud Strife collectible any FFVII fan should have in their collection. I can hardly wait for the rest of the gang to get released as well! Great review by the way. It's short yet very detailed at the same time.

Great review and figure comparison. Ordered cloud with daytona and waiting to receive it. Shipping is unexpected pricey cos of the bike. Pricing for figure n bike I feel was value for money. Figures by gametoys looks great...missed the order for Ichigo which I think looks great.

Hello! Great review . I just got this figure . I was just wondering... Whats the best way to clean the rubber arms? I don't want to mess them up so I'm kinda confused on how to do it.
Hmm, I've never had to clean the GT rubber arms yet so I can't say for sure. But, going by what I know about other seamless bodies like TBLeague, you can apply Oxy 10 for removing stains. Or use normal soap and water for cleaning off lint and dust, then apply a thin layer of cornstarch so the surface isn't sticky. Though keep in mind these are for TBLeague seamless bodies, and I'm pretty sure the GT arms weren't coated with any sort of powder. There's also the concern that one of Cloud's arms has a bandage on it, so running that through water might not be a good idea. That said, I would still try the above methods with extreme caution. I know it's not a lot but I hope that helped~

I have two Clouds so the answer is yes and no. Yes for the one that I used in this and the Hardy Daytona video. The other Cloud is still packed in the box. I actually noticed the arms were a little bit loose when I shot the Daytona video weeks later, so I checked against the one that's been in the box. As it turns out, the one in the box is a little tighter. The arms aren't super loose for the one on display, but it was looser than I remember, and I suspect it might get worse. Perhaps I went too ham tryna have him carry Aerith for the review 😅 Thanks for asking, though. The arms getting a little loose definitely wasn't a thing when I first reviewed it 😔

I got this via pre-order with the MSRP at around $140~$170 USD. But this was before all the hype surrounding GameToys, which ultimately led to very unreasonable aftermarket prices. Such is the way of this hobby 😔
@@KylesGameRoom From what I can gather, GameToys dispose of production assets after each run to keep a low profile, so reprints are unlikely. But hey. Never say die. FF7 Rebirth is just around the corner so there's always hope for a version 2.0 of these characters 😉
I got mine through a pre-order with OneSixthKit back in 2021. There seem to be a few on eBay but yikes...the prices are unreasonable 😔 If you have a trusted 1/6 figures retailer, I'd say keep checking with them to see if any come back in stock. Giantoy recently had a few units for Sephiroth but was sold out quick. It's a slim chance, but maybe the same will happen for Cloud. There's no guarantee they'll actually release it but GameToys did tease that Advent Children Cloud with Fenrir is in the works. And speaking as an addict, I check the aforementioned toy websites every other day for new pre-orders, which is the best way to secure a 1/6 figure (especially for these unlicensed ones). Good luck! I've done crazier things back in the day tryna to secure an import copy of the game 😅 I think I paid around $300 for Cloud & Daytona set, with NRD discounted away almost entirely because I'd been saving credits with my retailer for awhile. But also keep in mind that paying for pre-order is always risky, especially when quality is an unknown with these unlicensed stuff. Funnily enough, I've reviewed a handful of unlicensed figures on this channel where the promo pics and final products are completely different. So don't give into the FOMO, pre-ordering these things definitely are not always sunshine and rainbows~~

What a great figure. I missed my window on this figure cause they sold out so quick. I did manage to order Sephiroth but its stuck in, like you said, delivery limbo for the past 2 and a half months. I will be ordering Zack as soon as i get paid. I heard you said in another video that Gametoys is making Tifa and I saw teaser pictures of Advant Children Cloud so I'll be on the look out to snatch those up once they go on pre-orders. Wow, I didn’t tealise the Gametoys are so much bigger than Play Arts Kai. I wanted to get the GT Zack but now I’m not sure as he will not fit in wit the PAK figures
I don't suppose that's all too surprising because the PAK line is between 1/7 to 1/8 scale. There aren't many figures that come in that size, whereas Gametoys is pursuing the 1/6 scale route, which is getting more popular by the day thanks to the rise of Hot Toys and their Star Wars, MCU, and DCEU licenses over the last decade. But shoot for whatever you like best 😄 If GT Zack isn't gonna fit with the PAK figures, then he's definitely not worth the insane aftermarket prices these days.
@@ElbearToys the GT Zack is in pre-order in a local store here in Belgium for 325 euros, which I think is normal retail price, unless I'm mistaken. So price wise it's OK. I might just keep him separate from the rest because he's so damn awesome, but I don't know yet.
Now there's no guarantee this will even happen, let alone the time frame...but GameToys did tease their upcoming releases. One is FF7R Tifa, the other is FF7 AC Cloud (with Fenrir). Worst case, keep an eye out for PO for those. By GameToys' track record, AC Cloud will be even more amazing. In the meantime though, I'd recommend keep checking with retailers you trust to see if Clouds get restocked. Giantoy, for example, recently had a few Sephiroths in stock (albeit a little more expensive than original MSRP). Good luck~~

When mine gets here, I'll definitely try mounting the VTS Cloud on there. Heck, Sephiroth, Tifa, and Aerith will all have a go too.
Unlike the PAK line where the price is the only thing that's going up, GameToys is currently the undisputed champion for producing quality FF7 figures, which makes me wish they have the capacity to release every character from Remake.
Excellent review as always. Lots of good things in this release. It feels like Gametoys are fans of the games with the details and easter eggs they add into the figures. I feel the love. Though I probably won't get the figure. The transition from anime styling to realism is too jarring for me lol.

I unfortunately haven't heard anything about a re-release for these. And it seems highly unlikely given that GameToys had already announced a few more upcoming figures. But, I'm willing to bet they'll have another go at the Remake Cloud as soon as Part 2 is out (whenever that may be). And if you're interested, the Advent Children Cloud and Fenrir are being sold separately at Giantoy at the time of this comment. Hope that helps~
Unfortunately no. GameToys goes really far out of their way to keep a low profile so they are apparently very difficult to reach. I'd say the easiest way to keep track of anything new from them is join OneSixthKit's FB group. It's a lot to sift through if GameToys figures are the only things you're looking for, but Kit makes a post every time a new pre-order goes live. Happy collecting~

May I recommend looking for the Advent Children version instead? This one is almost 2 years old, and GameToys had made substantial improvements to the Advent Children Cloud. Plus, it's still being released at this moment so stock availability "should" be better. "Should" because scalpers are here to ruin everything, but at least there's still competition as the figure is still being fully released. Best of luck!

Thank you for asking!! Of the ones featured on this channel, it's a tie between Arthur Morgan and GT Cloud. Arthur because Limtoys' attention to details is unparalleled. Cloud because I've been a fan since the PS1 game, so it's surreal to see him come to life in this format. Outside of this channel, I have a few more that I love just as much, such as the Medicom BotW Link, DreamEx TMNT, HT die-casts War Machine Mk1, and many more. But perhaps that's a topic for another video 😉
Having trouble getting a hand on the peg. I line it up with the hole but when I take the hand away the peg is facing a different direction. Is there a way to get the peg on the hand without causing damage?
Hmm, I'd try pushing up the vambraces a little higher so you can see the direction of the peg as you push the hand in. It's difficult to align but if you are pushing the hand through at dead center, the peg shouldn't turn, at which point you can apply a circular motion to the hand to push it in. I'd also slightly heat up the slot in the hand and the peg with a hair dryer (but make sure you don't over-apply the heat such that it melts the glue on the bandages on the left arm or worse, melt the peg/hand!!). Personally, I had a slightly easier time when I took out the arms entirely while changing hand parts so I can anchor my hands. But yeah, this one is a little harder to swap than your normal 1/6 figures because everything is super stiff. Hope that helps~~

As far as I'm aware, GameToys have no plans for re-issuing this one unfortunately... But they are making Advent Children Cloud/Fenrir which, according to what we're seeing so far, should be noticeably better than this one. Plus, never say die I guess. Remake Part 2 is still to come, and who's to say GameToys wouldn't have another go at Cloud if they are still around by then? 😁
Unfortunately this figure is sold out almost immediately as it was released, as this was sold via pre-sale and most people had chosen to hang on to their orders. So now the best bet is to look for a deal from reputable sellers on eBay or AliExpress. But don't feel too discouraged. GameToys' Zack and Advent Children Cloud has yet to be released. Just keep your eyes peeled as to when these drop and be ready to prowl for a deal because prices tend to be most "reasonable" when a figure is first released. Plus, with FF7 Rebirth on the horizon, I wouldn't be too surprised if GameToys decide to make better ones then. Hope that helps. Happy collecting~

GameToys doesn’t have an official channel. The best places to get one of these is by pre-order from oversea dealers such as OneSixthKit, Giantoy, and KGHobby. Signing up for newsletters from these stores might also be beneficial to getting notified with such releases. Hope that helps!
I got this via pre-order at OneSixthKit, which is unfortunately the best way to snag one of these. With these unlicensed products, Gametoys keep a low profile and produce only enough to meet initial demand. But for upcoming figures that you've yet to pre-order, keep an eye out as these come in stock from leftover inventory. Retail prices tend to be more fair when they are first released.
Outside of scalpers on eBay, Cloud/Daytona are largely sold out at this point unfortunately. The original pre-order window opened back in early 2021, which was the cheapest/easiest way to snag one of these. If you're interested, GameToys just announced the Advent Children Cloud/Fenrir just a couple weeks ago. Sadly, the places I would recommend are all sold out too...However, I'm eying this store called Gundamit which still has many upcoming GameToys products on pre-order. I can't vouch for their reliability since I've never bought from them before. Though I decided to give them a try by placing a $2 deposit for a Zack figure. What a time to be alive. Unlicensed, third party company like Gametoys coming out of nowhere and completely shitting all over official licensed manufacturers of merchandise with figures like this. Shoutout to LimToys too, they seem to be another excellent company that are capable of making high-quality figures. I really hope companies like GameToys garner enough fame and success that we not only continue to get high-quality figures like these but more IPs being covered too!
Agreed~ Strangely though, GameToys is somewhat averse to fame because they don't want Square-Enix going after them if they pose enough threat to their (overpriced) collectibles. Still, here's to hoping they'll cover more IP's anyways 🍻
Since these were sold via pre-orders, they've sadly been long sold out from 1st hand retailers, leaving the next "best" option to be scouring private marketplaces like eBay or AliExpress for reputable dealers who might still carry these. They're scalpers, for the lack of a better word. Though I'd say it's even better to keep an eye out for their upcoming Advent Children Cloud. The pre-order window since been closed as well, but stocks tend to be more available during initial release, which should be some time next year. Hope that helps~
@@deadassyo6080 Word on the street is that Tifa pre-order will open when GameToys start to ship out Zack, which was supposed to be in June 2022. But with COVID delays and all, production for Zack is still on-going.
5'7 = 173cm in 1/6 scale it would be 28.8cm round off 29cm. The figure is 31.5cm including his spikey hair and boots which if u exclude them would be about 30cm. Mayeb 1 cm taller in scale?
Ok, so the two Cloud figures featured in this video are unlicensed offerings based on Final Fantasy VII Remake released in 2020. The star of the show this time is the figure made by GameToys in 2022. It's also (in my humble opinion) a more desirable version over the one made by VTS Toys in 2021. These two brands are not related. And at the time of this comment, I'm not aware of any plans for either figures to be reissued. Interestingly, both brands have their own plans for continuing to the Advent Children version. VTS Toys seems to be using the same base figure with new costume (still not technically a reissue), while GameToys will be developing a new figure from scratch. Hope that helps~

Does anyone know if a bootleg version of this exist? I made a hasty online purchase of this but the seller told me its bootleg. But it looks exactly the same as this and the authentic ones. Does a bootleg version of this even exist?
Hmm...personally, I'd say this seller is sending all sort of red flags. In this hobby, "recasts" head sculpts are very common, which are just a low quality copies of an existing product. There are times where they would do this for the entire figure too (specially tailored body/costume, accessories, etc.), but like the head sculpt, they range from mildly to severely inferior to the original. And since this figure just came out two months ago, I doubt any bootleg versions (if they even exist) will even be comparable to the original. Speaking from personal experience, I've had times where I bought a head sculpt knowing it was a recast, but still ended up very disappointed because the end product was so much worse. Needless to say, they used pictures of the authentic head sculpts on their page to lure me in. So, having said all that, I personally wouldn't go through with this seller. Hopefully this was helpful.

Oh most definitely. From Play Arts Kai to VTS is already a huge step up. And if you're interested, I recently came across this custom 1/6 artist who makes a pretty stunning Cloud head sculpt for works with the VTS version. Don't be 😉 I'm cautiously optimistic that GameToys might make a Cloud 2.0 when FF7 Rebirth rolls around. Plus, their Advent Children Cloud/Fenrir has yet to drop. There's always a second chance with these. Not to mention, unlicensed products are always a gamble. Addicts such as myself who pre-order everything often get burned by mediocre final products.
GAMETOYS. is my preference here. great job in pointing out the details. Fabric "falling right " or "sitting right" on a figure to me, matters. Some companies will just stitch "doll" clothing on a figure and call it a day, i really appreciate when a company goes a little further and place some fine line wiring in the fabric / and or adding extra layers , giving the clothing some weight , showing the tugs , wrinkles , pulls and consistency as you mentioned i dont want to sound as some sort of elitist, but when collectors are paying in many cases $300.00 and upwards for a figure , one has to get critical down to the finest details . Thankfully in 2022 we have choice. Solid comparison review as usual Elbear.

It's always a gamble when it comes to these unlicensed products, but it's such a blessing when the manufacturer not only love the source material, they actually put in the effort to nail down even the tiniest detail.

Dang...real bummer that the price is the way it is. Pre-ordering tends to be the best way to snag one of these but it's difficult for anyone who isn't actively following this hobby. Plus, even some who knew since pre-order had no idea how these would turn out. But never say die. I have a feeling that GameToys might make an even better one when FF7 Rebirth rolls around. Justin's collections' comment on VTS toys Cloud Strife regarding it's scale being ok for it's not really an actual person, is one of the worst insight/perception I've heard regarding on any 6th scaled figures.
🤣🤣🤣 To each his/her own I guess. I feel that VTS Toys just slapped together their Cloud using whatever existing 1/6 figure body parts that were available, so they had to make him super tall to keep proportions aligned. In that sense, one can argue that the VTS Cloud is "1/6 scale" because he's undeniably made from 1/6 scale figure parts. Though clearly VTS should've just tailored a custom body from scratch like GameToys did. But I'm behind the argument that, if VTS Toys can keep their FF7 figures in scale with each other, the line is at least worth considering. And it certainly seems to be the case with their upcoming Zack and Advent Children Cloud. Either ways, thank you so much for watching~

I've been eyeballing these Gametoys figures for a while now. As a big PAK collector, these Gametoys really have me captivated. No way of really knowing what these unlicensed products will entail until you take a gamble and purchase, or watch reviews like this after, by which time the products are sold out. I hope they re-issue this Cloud, Daytona, and Sephiroth. Truly quality products befitting the license.
I hope they do a reissue too because people miss out for reasons beyond their control. Not to mention, GT did really come out of nowhere so it’s hard to justify putting so much faith in them all of a sudden. Plus, it incentivizes consumers to grow their collections. Personally, I wouldn’t even be getting anything from GT in the future if I didn’t already have core characters like Cloud and Sephiroth.
But hey, let’s hope they’ll at least stick around to do figures for whenever Remake Part 2 drops 😉
I had to cancel my ore orders of cloud and Daytona and sephiroth. Life happens. But I just scored a new zack fair and a displayed for a week only cloud strife. Trying to find sephiroth now.

It's supposed to be a character made in Japan, but I can't help but wonder why this quality hasn't come out. I am grateful to have met such a loyal Cloud figure. Booked a cloud for AC. I'm looking forward to it.
100% agree. Over the years, I've collected my fair share of Play Arts Kai figures from the official Square-Enix . While the quality is arguably better, it certainly isn't keeping up with how much the price has gone up. Their militant approach to their IP's also guarantees that they have little competition in this space.
Unlicensed products like this Cloud by Gametoys is certainly a moral gray area. But at the end of the day, I believe fans just want to spend their hard-earned money on a good product, which Square-Enix had made very clear that they aren't going to provide.

I was only recently exposed to Gametoys as a brand and I have already fallen in love. The mastery of the face and head sculpt and just how skillfully everything has been crafted together to make this figure look like cloud walked right out of your screen is amazing. PAK should really be taking notes.
I was surprised when it can actually lift the sword with just one arm and carry Aerith without using 3rd party support. Gametoys is pure genius
The front to back swing on the seamless arms have gotten a little soft unfortunately, all because the metal pegs had worn the socket down a bit over time. This design flaw was remedied with Zack's release. The sideway swing for the arms are still very strong though. Not too shabby I guess 😅

Agreed!! Imagine if they did a re-issue when FF7R Part 2 comes out. It might help them consider making the rest of the characters too. Personally, I wouldn't even consider their Barret if I missed out on their Cloud...and I'm willing to bet there are others out there who feel the same. So getting more Clouds out there is likely a good thing.
@@ElbearToys Yeah, I'm relatively new to collecting and have only bought from sideshow so I didn't even know that it existed. By the time I found it he was sold out everywhere. If nothing else I think Gametoys need more of a social media presence or they could just make a couple thousand more.
GameToys is kind of an enigma if I'm being honest.
They came out of nowhere less than 2 years ago with their first release (an unlicensed Ichigo from Bleach). No one knew if they could deliver. But they did...twice. Both releases were absolutely incredible. Then they dove into the FF7R line. I hear they aren't easy to reach too, likely because they wanna avoid getting served from potential copyright holders. I don't read Chinese but at some point, there was a post in the forums I follow, which said that GameToys was served with a cease and desist while they were Ichigo was in production. So social media presence is likely out of the question.
But my goodness...I hope there's someway to get the message across that they need to print more Clouds.

I've just recently got this GT Cloud, but his left silicone arm tends to swivel by itself, any suggestion for a fix ?
I'm starting to have the same problem too. It started out OK but the metal peg eroded the socket a bit so the up/down swing is very soft. I haven't tried this myself but I was thinking about wrapping the peg with either a sheet of paper or plastic wrap as to give it more friction against the socket.
Coincidentally enough, Gametoys is aware of the issue and had improved the joint with Zack. That review is coming up by the way. Super delayed with shipping and other stuff. Please stay tuned~

Hi friend.. just check my cloud today and i try to put the rubber right arm and it just fall off, cant stand in the place, its extremely loose..
@@luigivaccariellos9379 Oh no...I have a feeling even GameToys knew of their design flaw so they reinforced that peg in particular for Zack.
May I suggest wrapping the metal peg with a sheet of paper or some kind of wrap to increase the surface area for friction? Or better yet, just swap back to the jointed arms for now. Mine's still OK (for now), and I'm ready to fallback on the jointed ones if it means still having a working figure.

Can you please share a website where this figure is purchasable? Looks like amazing quality it’s great that they used actual fabric for the clothes.
Unfortunately, this one has been long sold out from normal retailers. So the only way to get one now is through private aftermarket trading platforms like eBay or AliExpress (both are risky at inflated prices). But worry not, prices are usually fairer when a new release first drops, and GameToys' Advent Children Cloud should be just around the corner (if not later this year). And if that's not your cup of tea, who's to say GameToys won't stick around for Cloud 2.0 when Rebirth comes out 😉

That VTS counterpart looks goofy beside the GT release. It's arguably the quintessential Cloud Strife collectible any FFVII fan should have in their collection. Hello! Great review . I just got this figure . I was just wondering... Whats the best way to clean the rubber arms? I don't want to mess them up so I'm kinda confused on how to do it.
Hmm, I've never had to clean the GT rubber arms yet so I can't say for sure.
But, going by what I know about other seamless bodies like TBLeague, you can apply Oxy 10 for removing stains. Or use normal soap and water for cleaning off lint and dust, then apply a thin layer of cornstarch so the surface isn't sticky. Though keep in mind these are for TBLeague seamless bodies, and I'm pretty sure the GT arms weren't coated with any sort of powder. There's also the concern that one of Cloud's arms has a bandage on it, so running that through water might not be a good idea.
That said, I would still try the above methods with extreme caution. I know it's not a lot but I hope that helped~

I have two Clouds so the answer is yes and no. Yes for the one that I used in this and the Hardy Daytona video. The other Cloud is still packed in the box.
I actually noticed the arms were a little bit loose when I shot the Daytona video weeks later, so I checked against the one that's been in the box. As it turns out, the one in the box is a little tighter. The arms aren't super loose for the one on display, but it was looser than I remember, and I suspect it might get worse. Perhaps I went too ham tryna have him carry Aerith for the review 😅

I got this via pre-order with the MSRP at around $140~$170 USD. But this was before all the hype surrounding GameToys, which ultimately led to very unreasonable aftermarket prices. Such is the way of this hobby 😔

I got mine through a pre-order with OneSixthKit back in 2021. There seem to be a few on eBay but yikes...the prices are unreasonable 😔
If you have a trusted 1/6 figures retailer, I'd say keep checking with them to see if any come back in stock. Giantoy recently had a few units for Sephiroth but was sold out quick. It's a slim chance, but maybe the same will happen for Cloud.
There's no guarantee they'll actually release it but GameToys did tease that Advent Children Cloud with Fenrir is in the works. And speaking as an addict, I check the aforementioned toy websites every other day for new pre-orders, which is the best way to secure a 1/6 figure (especially for these unlicensed ones).

I think I paid around $300 for Cloud & Daytona set, with NRD discounted away almost entirely because I'd been saving credits with my retailer for awhile. But also keep in mind that paying for pre-order is always risky, especially when quality is an unknown with these unlicensed stuff. Funnily enough, I've reviewed a handful of unlicensed figures on this channel where the promo pics and final products are completely different. So don't give into the FOMO, pre-ordering these things definitely are not always sunshine and rainbows~~

What a great figure. I missed my window on this figure cause they sold out so quick. I did manage to order Sephiroth but its stuck in, like you said, delivery limbo for the past 2 and a half months. I will be ordering Zack as soon as i get paid.

GameToys did tease Tifa and AC Cloud (with Fenrir), along with L and Light from Death Note. This is probably not an efficient way at all, but I check the pre-order page on OneSixthKit like every other day to make sure I don't miss anything 😅 But yeah, don't worry about this one because with GameToys' track record, AC Cloud is likely gonna be even more awesome.
Wow, I didn’t tealise the Gametoys are so much bigger than Play Arts Kai. I wanted to get the GT Zack but now I’m not sure as he will not fit in wit the PAK figures
I don't suppose that's all too surprising because the PAK line is between 1/7 to 1/8 scale. There aren't many figures that come in that size, whereas Gametoys is pursuing the 1/6 scale route, which is getting more popular by the day thanks to the rise of Hot Toys and their Star Wars, MCU, and DCEU licenses over the last decade.
But shoot for whatever you like best 😄 If GT Zack isn't gonna fit with the PAK figures, then he's definitely not worth the insane aftermarket prices these days.
@@ElbearToys the GT Zack is in pre-order in a local store here in Belgium for 325 euros, which I think is normal retail price, unless I'm mistaken. So price wise it's OK. I might just keep him separate from the rest because he's so damn awesome, but I don't know yet.

Now there's no guarantee this will even happen, let alone the time frame...but GameToys did tease their upcoming releases. One is FF7R Tifa, the other is FF7 AC Cloud (with Fenrir). Worst case, keep an eye out for PO for those. By GameToys' track record, AC Cloud will be even more amazing.
In the meantime though, I'd recommend keep checking with retailers you trust to see if Clouds get restocked. Giantoy, for example, recently had a few Sephiroths in stock (albeit a little more expensive than original MSRP). Good luck~~

wow Gametoys is perfect, liked it even more than PAK version 2 of remake.
Unlike the PAK line where the price is the only thing that's going up, GameToys is currently the undisputed champion for producing quality FF7 figures, which makes me wish they have the capacity to release every character from Remake.
Excellent review as always. Lots of good things in this release. It feels like Gametoys are fans of the games with the details and easter eggs they add into the figures. I feel the love. Though I probably won't get the figure. The transition from anime styling to realism is too jarring for me lol.

I unfortunately haven't heard anything about a re-release for these. And it seems highly unlikely given that GameToys had already announced a few more upcoming figures. But, I'm willing to bet they'll have another go at the Remake Cloud as soon as Part 2 is out (whenever that may be).

Unfortunately no. GameToys goes really far out of their way to keep a low profile so they are apparently very difficult to reach. I'd say the easiest way to keep track of anything new from them is join OneSixthKit's FB group. It's a lot to sift through if GameToys figures are the only things you're looking for, but Kit makes a post every time a new pre-order goes live.

As for Cloud, I’d say keep checking retailers that you trust. Giantoy, for example, recently had some more stock for Sephiroth. But sadly, there’s really no telling who might have how much, especially when GameToys seem to be basing production size on per-orders. Sorry if I wasn’t much of a help 😔

May I recommend looking for the Advent Children version instead? This one is almost 2 years old, and GameToys had made substantial improvements to the Advent Children Cloud. Plus, it's still being released at this moment so stock availability "should" be better. "Should" because scalpers are here to ruin everything, but at least there's still competition as the figure is still being fully released. Best of luck!

Thank you for asking!! Of the ones featured on this channel, it's a tie between Arthur Morgan and GT Cloud. Arthur because Limtoys' attention to details is unparalleled. Cloud because I've been a fan since the PS1 game, so it's surreal to see him come to life in this format.
Outside of this channel, I have a few more that I love just as much, such as the Medicom BotW Link, DreamEx TMNT, HT die-casts War Machine Mk1, and many more. But perhaps that's a topic for another video 😉

Having trouble getting a hand on the peg. I line it up with the hole but when I take the hand away the peg is facing a different direction. Is there a way to get the peg on the hand without causing damage?
Hmm, I'd try pushing up the vambraces a little higher so you can see the direction of the peg as you push the hand in. It's difficult to align but if you are pushing the hand through at dead center, the peg shouldn't turn, at which point you can apply a circular motion to the hand to push it in.
I'd also slightly heat up the slot in the hand and the peg with a hair dryer (but make sure you don't over-apply the heat such that it melts the glue on the bandages on the left arm or worse, melt the peg/hand!!). Personally, I had a slightly easier time when I took out the arms entirely while changing hand parts so I can anchor my hands. But yeah, this one is a little harder to swap than your normal 1/6 figures because everything is super stiff.

As far as I'm aware, GameToys have no plans for re-issuing this one unfortunately...
But they are making Advent Children Cloud/Fenrir which, according to what we're seeing so far, should be noticeably better than this one. Plus, never say die I guess. Remake Part 2 is still to come, and who's to say GameToys wouldn't have another go at Cloud if they are still around by then? 😁

Unfortunately this figure is sold out almost immediately as it was released, as this was sold via pre-sale and most people had chosen to hang on to their orders. So now the best bet is to look for a deal from reputable sellers on eBay or AliExpress.
But don't feel too discouraged. GameToys' Zack and Advent Children Cloud has yet to be released. Just keep your eyes peeled as to when these drop and be ready to prowl for a deal because prices tend to be most "reasonable" when a figure is first released. Plus, with FF7 Rebirth on the horizon, I wouldn't be too surprised if GameToys decide to make better ones then.

GameToys doesn’t have an official channel. The best places to get one of these is by pre-order from oversea dealers such as OneSixthKit, Giantoy, and KGHobby. Signing up for newsletters from these stores might also be beneficial to getting notified with such releases. Hope that helps!

I got this via pre-order at OneSixthKit, which is unfortunately the best way to snag one of these. With these unlicensed products, Gametoys keep a low profile and produce only enough to meet initial demand. But for upcoming figures that you've yet to pre-order, keep an eye out as these come in stock from leftover inventory. Retail prices tend to be more fair when they are first released.

Outside of scalpers on eBay, Cloud/Daytona are largely sold out at this point unfortunately. The original pre-order window opened back in early 2021, which was the cheapest/easiest way to snag one of these.
If you're interested, GameToys just announced the Advent Children Cloud/Fenrir just a couple weeks ago. Sadly, the places I would recommend are all sold out too...However, I'm eying this store called Gundamit which still has many upcoming GameToys products on pre-order. I can't vouch for their reliability since I've never bought from them before. Though I decided to give them a try by placing a $2 deposit for a Zack figure. Only time will tell if they'll come through.
With all that said, I do hope GameToys will have a Cloud 2.0 when Remake Part 2 drops. Thanks for watching!

Unfortunately, reissue seems to be very unlikely. From what I was able to gather, GameToys discard their equipments after a production run is over as to help keep a low profile.
But don't feel discouraged. Even though their pre-order window for the Advent Children Cloud has closed, keep an eye out for when it drops. Usually the prices are somewhat "reasonable" when a figure is first released. Plus, FF7 Rebirth is just around the corner. Who's to say they won't have another go at these beloved characters? 😉

What a time to be alive. Unlicensed, third party company like Gametoys coming out of nowhere and completely shitting all over official licensed manufacturers of merchandise with figures like this. Shoutout to LimToys too, they seem to be another excellent company that are capable of making high-quality figures.
I really hope companies like GameToys garner enough fame and success that we not only continue to get high-quality figures like these but more IPs being covered too!
Agreed~ Strangely though, GameToys is somewhat averse to fame because they don't want Square-Enix going after them if they pose enough threat to their (overpriced) collectibles. Still, here's to hoping they'll cover more IP's anyways 🍻

Since these were sold via pre-orders, they've sadly been long sold out from 1st hand retailers, leaving the next "best" option to be scouring private marketplaces like eBay or AliExpress for reputable dealers who might still carry these. They're scalpers, for the lack of a better word.
Though I'd say it's even better to keep an eye out for their upcoming Advent Children Cloud. The pre-order window since been closed as well, but stocks tend to be more available during initial release, which should be some time next year. Hope that helps~

5'7 = 173cm in 1/6 scale it would be 28.8cm round off 29cm. The figure is 31.5cm including his spikey hair and boots which if u exclude them would be about 30cm. Mayeb 1 cm taller in scale?
Hi. Is there a 2020 version and this is a reissue? i am lost...
Ok, so the two Cloud figures featured in this video are unlicensed offerings based on Final Fantasy VII Remake released in 2020. The star of the show this time is the figure made by GameToys in 2022. It's also (in my humble opinion) a more desirable version over the one made by VTS Toys in 2021. These two brands are not related. And at the time of this comment, I'm not aware of any plans for either figures to be reissued.
Interestingly, both brands have their own plans for continuing to the Advent Children version. VTS Toys seems to be using the same base figure with new costume (still not technically a reissue), while GameToys will be developing a new figure from scratch.

Does anyone know if a bootleg version of this exist? I made a hasty online purchase of this but the seller told me its bootleg. But it looks exactly the same as this and the authentic ones. Does a bootleg version of this even exist?
Hmm...personally, I'd say this seller is sending all sort of red flags. In this hobby, "recasts" head sculpts are very common, which are just a low quality copies of an existing product. There are times where they would do this for the entire figure too (specially tailored body/costume, accessories, etc.), but like the head sculpt, they range from mildly to severely inferior to the original. And since this figure just came out two months ago, I doubt any bootleg versions (if they even exist) will even be comparable to the original. Speaking from personal experience, I've had times where I bought a head sculpt knowing it was a recast, but still ended up very disappointed because the end product was so much worse. Needless to say, they used pictures of the authentic head sculpts on their page to lure me in.
So, having said all that, I personally wouldn't go through with this seller. Hopefully this was helpful.

Oh most definitely. From Play Arts Kai to VTS is already a huge step up. And if you're interested, I recently came across this custom 1/6 artist who makes a pretty stunning Cloud head sculpt for works with the VTS version. He's in the UK too so at least shipping is less of a hassle. Not sure if he's still taking orders but wouldn't hurt to ask 😉

Don't be 😉 I'm cautiously optimistic that GameToys might make a Cloud 2.0 when FF7 Rebirth rolls around. Plus, their Advent Children Cloud/Fenrir has yet to drop. There's always a second chance with these.
Not to mention, unlicensed products are always a gamble. Addicts such as myself who pre-order everything often get burned by mediocre final products.
GAMETOYS. is my preference here. great job in pointing out the details. Fabric "falling right " or "sitting right" on a figure to me, matters. Some companies will just stitch "doll" clothing on a figure and call it a day, i really appreciate when a company goes a little further and place some fine line wiring in the fabric / and or adding extra layers , giving the clothing some weight , showing the tugs , wrinkles , pulls and consistency as you mentioned
i dont want to sound as some sort of elitist, but when collectors are paying in many cases $300.00 and upwards for a figure , one has to get critical down to the finest details . Thankfully in 2022 we have choice. Solid comparison review as usual Elbear.

I LOVE Breaking Bad!! In fact, I have all the licensed release by Threezero from a few years back (Walter, Jessie, and Saul Goodman). I'll also be getting an unlicensed version of Gus and Mike. They should be coming later this year.

Justin's collections' comment on VTS toys Cloud Strife regarding it's scale being ok for it's not really an actual person, is one of the worst insight/perception I've heard regarding on any 6th scaled figures.
🤣🤣🤣 To each his/her own I guess. I feel that VTS Toys just slapped together their Cloud using whatever existing 1/6 figure body parts that were available, so they had to make him super tall to keep proportions aligned. In that sense, one can argue that the VTS Cloud is "1/6 scale" because he's undeniably made from 1/6 scale figure parts. Though clearly VTS should've just tailored a custom body from scratch like GameToys did.
But I'm behind the argument that, if VTS Toys can keep their FF7 figures in scale with each other, the line is at least worth considering. And it certainly seems to be the case with their upcoming Zack and Advent Children Cloud.
