Oh my god! I’ve been looking for this song for nearly 20 years! I saw it once years ago and then never again! All I could remember was the giant “Hello” sign at the end, and the phrase “Lordy don’t leave me”, which I had misremembered as “father don’t leave me”. I’d wondered if I’d dreamt it, but now I’ve found it again! This is so cool!

The song is about people that other people don't want to know - they are alone, lost but they don't give up - like the little creatures on the video - they built a bigger "Hello"
I don`t know why, but sometimes I fell so lonely, invisible and miserable as the litlle sweet alliens do...Every time I listen to this beautiful song tender teardrops fall from my eyes and I start crying. Never say electronic music can`t push your emotions away a comfort zone...Mr. Moby always does it while making his fabulous songs.

The first time I watched this music video, it was back in July 2006 in Brazil and I was 10. It was the first time I connected to a music video and a song, even though I didn't know English at the time. I had no idea it was NYC, but I felt their isolation and desire for communication. 10 years later, I found myself walking down 5th avenue in Manhattan listening to this song. Then the realization came to me: those feelings of loneliness and alienation never got better, they got worse, and this video was like a prophecy that I had just fulfilled.
Foi essa sensação também que tive, só que foi aqui no Brasil mesmo, quando em 2002 fui trabalhar em São Paulo, capital, ouvi essa música nesse período e me senti como os pequenos aliens.
The Crown, Prince William and Kate brought me back here. It takes a magnificent series to turn a sad and depressing song into a romantic one. What an amazing show.
Why does this make me so emotional? The way the little alien was so excited that Moby noticed him, he went back to tell his friends, but then Moby already got up and started walking away. And in the end, seeing them make an even bigger Hello sign just broke me.

The absolute pain in music that hurts more than any experience in my life is what I'll always keep in my memories, because it was never cruel, just a step beyond existing. But I'll never understand why
I remember watching this on tv when i was 12 and i bawled my eyes out. I drew the whole storyline after that in my little note book. Cried even more watching the story back in my drawing
Friccckkkkkk This reminds me of something super sad when I was little. When I was little, I used to play with my sister a lot, then, she began making friends. At first, she still played with me, but then she slowly began to ignore me, which made me really sad. I tried to talk to her but she kept ignoring me, kind of like how the people in the vid were ignoring the aliens, I kept trying to get her attention for YEARS. Then she finally did, but it was small. Then she never interacted with me again. Same with my parents.. Didn’t bring down my self-esteem, thankfully. She was just distracted..
I heard this wonderful track in 2002 and later a few times in the radio, but i was never able to recognize the title or artist. It cost me around 5 years to find out, this is "Moby - in this world". But since then, i enjoy this masterpiece frequently :-)
Correction: I don`t know why, but sometimes I feel so lonely, invisible and miserable as the little sweet aliens do...Every time I listen to this beautiful song tender teardrops fall from my eyes and I start crying. Помню даже тизер на Муз-тв, так ждал выхода клипа. А когда вышел, смотрел его несколько раз в день)
Ха;-)
This singer has such an amazing and powerful voice, and the music is so beautiful...
Thank you for video and music✨
Agradezco a mi mamá por enseñarme cultura musical. Tengo 14, la canción es casi de la misma edad y es arte puro.
Esta canción es más vieja que usted, es de 2002.
The absolute pain in music that hurts more than any experience in my life is what I'll always keep in my memories, because it was never cruel, just a step beyond existing. But I'll never understand why
So profound. 17 years ago. Like Moby was a timewalker. Nowadays nobody will notice anyone. Glued to phones. Genius.
I remember watching this on tv when i was 12 and i bawled my eyes out. I drew the whole storyline after that in my little note book. Cried even more watching the story back in my drawing
Friccckkkkkk
This reminds me of something super sad when I was little.
Crying😭😭😭
Moby is great ❤
I wish people still made music like this, you know music with soul and pain and happiness, everything included and therefore so familiar ❤️
They do. Just harder to find now a days.
Never say electronic music can`t push your emotions away a comfort zone...Mr. Moby always does it while making his fabulous songs.

es música ecleptica, te lleva a otro nivel de inspiración te saca de esta facción mundana y te envia a lo profundo de la autentica realidad
I've been obsessed with this song since I heard it in Bad Education. I'm not gay but the science where Frank and his BF dance to this is one of the most intimate and natural I've ever seen and it touches my heart so much I'm unable to articulate that.
Yes me too! I loved it before then but I haven't stopped listening to it since
