I still remember the first time I heard this. My friend and I heard it on the radio. Late at night. The world was asleep and we stayed awake dreaming. As we often did. Young and alive. I've since lost touch with that friend. I want to cry. We had great times, mate. I do miss him. It's been so, so long.

Oh my god! I’ve been looking for this song for nearly 20 years! I saw it once years ago and then never again! All I could remember was the giant “Hello” sign at the end, and the phrase “Lordy don’t leave me”, which I had misremembered as “father don’t leave me”. I’d wondered if I’d dreamt it, but now I’ve found it again! This is so cool!

The first time I watched this music video, it was back in July 2006 in Brazil and I was 10. It was the first time I connected to a music video and a song, even though I didn't know English at the time. I had no idea it was NYC, but I felt their isolation and desire for communication. 10 years later, I found myself walking down 5th avenue in Manhattan listening to this song. Then the realization came to me: those feelings of loneliness and alienation never got better, they got worse, and this video was like a prophecy that I had just fulfilled.

I was about 6 years old when this song came out. I was crying whenever I ran into it on TV, I was devastated about the the disappointment of the little friends. I remember once my brother said "Mom, she is crying!" when nothing happened, but this song was playing on MTV.

one of my favorite clip / song in childhood. it was constantly shown on mtv, and I always watched and listened from start to finish (because there was no internet and it was impossible to listen to it at other times). when I remembered her as a teenager (and the internet appeared) - I cried while watching
almost 19 years have passed, life turned upside down, but I still listen and love this song, although it is perceived in a completely different way 👽

This video made me think as a kid how insignificant my existence was “IN THIS WORLD” an existential crisis that will persists untill the end of humanity.
As an adult it just brings memories with sadness and emptiness inside, how time, society, technology, and the entire world will not wait for you to make sense of this world.
Moby provoked so many feelings with his music, he is truly a genius.

This reminds me of something super sad when I was little.
When I was little, I used to play with my sister a lot, then, she began making friends.
At first, she still played with me, but then she slowly began to ignore me, which made me really sad. I tried to talk to her but she kept ignoring me, kind of like how the people in the vid were ignoring the aliens, I kept trying to get her attention for YEARS.
Then she finally did, but it was small. Then she never interacted with me again. Same with my parents..
Didn’t bring down my self-esteem, thankfully.
    She was just distracted..

Correction: I don`t know why, but sometimes I feel so lonely, invisible and miserable as the little sweet aliens do...Every time I listen to this beautiful song tender teardrops fall from my eyes and I start crying. Never say electronic music can`t push your emotions away a comfort zone...Mr. Moby always does it while making his fabulous songs.
