Sure, this has brought back lots of pleasant memories. My maternal grandmother made and sold tamarinde balls wholesale to as many shops as there were, from Berbice to Essequibo. She sold 150 balls in a bag for $1.00. Which means that the retail seller got $1.50 per bag as they were sold for $0.01 a piece. But then again that was +/- 50 years ago.
