I also wondered a little about why the Danish parish roads are not straight. The reason why they are not just straight goes back a thousand years, when people traveled on paths and ruts where it was possible and not too wet. It was only when the churches were built in the early Middle Ages, and the villages gathered around the churches, that there were slightly more permanent roads. There were to be 4 roads from each village in different directions to the next church (village), which was about 5-7 km away. After this, these simple roads also had to be fitted in where it was possible to farm, as well as the country's nature with many streams and wet areas. This is a very simple explanation. Great vid ... Denmark looks lovely ... the bass from the Suzy engine coming through my sub was rattling anything not tied down in my man-cave ... insane 💙
Denmark is really nice. A lot of straight roads yes but the condition of them is usually excellent (or off road… there’s not much in between :)), my experiences were mostly on the main land though. Also people there drive quite relaxed we noticed, no rush and not a lot of traffic generally.
Nah, the occupants are of wealthy descent/marriage - they won’t be cold they’ll just have big old bills and maybe some fur blankets to match the aesthetic
I found this out after filming - it’s home to the widows and ex’s of aristocrats and/or rich men and I think that’s fantastic I bet they have the best social gatherings
Wondered what had happened to you. That was some great content. I like you to show us some off the bike stuff like walking around and the food in different places. I mean we all love that on holiday don't we. Bike seems a good machine as I've not heard any complaints from you travelling along. She looks a smooth travelling companion. Maybe let us know what the Suzuki branded luggage is like. Cheers👍
Colossal planning failure from me and so two videos were missed 🤦♀️ sorry! Catching up now. If you liked the food in this one then you’re going to LOVE part two - I cannot stop thinking about the culinary experience from this adventure, the food was a main character. The bike was fantastic, luggage was a nice change from my usual soft luggage - two lockable hard cases and a sturdy easy access tank back was a real treat and saved me so much time! However, I wouldn’t be too trusting of their waterproof capabilities long term, and I imagine if the hard cases broke - either mechanism failure or damage - that’s be an absolute nightmare with no way to botch a fix. Also the tank ring on the tank-bag was a pain in the ass after fueling up which is the reason I stopped using a similar design on my own bike, but I guess it’s a knack that you can learn if you’ve been using the same system for a while…
I love your trip videos Liz, this was nice and long. I like that you go on a little walk in the afternoon or in the morning, always something to see. That Suzuki look`s like a great touring bike. Love that you got to do this trip. Looking forward to the rest of it. I have ridden and driven a cross that bridge (storebelt) a couple of time`s, and yes it is special and cool. Was even on a boat under it. Keep up the great work!
Glad you liked the slightly longer video! I try to avoid going over 20 minutes but this trip fitted nicely into two longer videos instead of lots of little ones - I’m glad I made the right choice! The Suzuki was fantastic, I’m sad to see it go back to its home after the trip as I really gelled with it during the miles
København. København. Not Copenhagen. København. We do not call your capital Robbers Town or Stinky Pinky. The capital of Danmark is København. Har du forstået? Capisci? Did you understand?
Don’t all countries and capital cities have different pronunciations and spellings across different languages? I’m English and that’s how it’s spelled for us - not something I decided. Also, if you did refer to London as ‘robbers town’ we’d understand exactly what you meant it’d be all good.
Wow, looks so beautiful there! Even the interior of the tunnel looked spotless and clean.
Everything is clean up in Scandinavia ✨
Personally, I love the mix of bike and walkabouts. Like having a freebie holiday. Keep it up Liz
Looking fantastic Liz.
Loving you and the bike .you are great liz would not bother me even if no bike content loving you liz😊
Pizza is the best food ever. I don't think I could ever get tired of pizza. And waffles! 🤤 I whole heartedly endorse your meal choices!

Life in a castle sounds romantic and all, but I bet it's cold as f*ck in winter.

The caste is Vallø Slot near Køge. No public entrance.

Looks like you had a good trip, Liz. How does travelling with people compare to the journeys you take on your own?
Hmm. A warm waffle with blueberry icecream.

where can we find the photos from the photoshoot?
I’ll start putting them into socials soon - R1Liz accounts
Great video, good to see you visiting more and more countries, keep those miles and videos coming.
You have white poles every 50m which gives you an idea about the road in front of you. 😉
Doesn’t make it any less right angle-y 😬
