Dick Lee is Singapore treasure in music talents. He had composed many national songs especially most famous "Home". He is a international song writers . His family were quite talented had contributed our TV station historical events in S.E.A. programmes. Very proud of his achievements contributing to Singapore music.
Singapore is such a small country but produces so much talent, Kumar, Crazy Christmas cast, Alemay Fernandes etc can’t wait to visit Singapore again ❤️
Goodness me, he had me rolling on the floor with laughter. It was incredible. I didn't believe he'd dare to pull off something like that without getting into trouble. Maybe it's a sign of more freedom of speech in Singapore eventually? Thanks for sharing.
I'm not Singaporean but, I did meet his mum, dad and bro. Didn't know who Dick Lee was until I met his family and a friend just mentioned they were famous.
Dick Lee won't be sued because his song is harmless. In fact, he's pro-government. You can tell that the song is pro-government but it's made to look satirical. Kudos to this guy. He's a genius. =)
He has a vision for tomorrow. We must believe in PM Lee. He has a dream for Singapore. He will succeed. He's PM Lee. Anything, he wants you get, Or he'll give you one tight slap. Because you see, his father's you-know-who, Not Lee Kuan Me, but Lee Kuan .... Count on him Singapore, Count on him to do his best and more, Together him and Minister Mentor, And don't go to Taiwan anymore.......
Yes truly a wonderful love story that I don't think can leave anyone indifferent. I have also watch this film several times, and it always leaves an equally strong and somewhat inexplicable impression and a whole range if emotion on me that lasts for days. I am thinking here of a mix of pleasure, happiness, sadness, and hope that eternal and sincere love can happen to the viewers as it was between Noah and Allie.
Maybe still in every Singaporean's wildest dream is when Jack Neo directs a new SG60 NDP movie written by Kevin Kwan with original soundtrack composed by and starring/featuring Dick Lee!
I would like someone to help me record the part where he sings count on him Singapore on the piano like mimic which key he is playing and send it to me cause i need that for music class :3 and I cant tell which key is which sec 2 btw much appreciated if you were to help. :)
Many years ago a taiwanese tv female host visited singapore. She met an elderly woman who barely speaks English. After some conversation between them, the old woman pronounce the word pregnant incorrectly. Soon the tv host went back to taiwan and made fun of that woman, proudly saying the correct pronunciation and also claims people in singapore do not know how to speak nor pronounce well. singapore then responded in the newspaper stating that the citizens may not speak perfect English but they can speak better than taiwanese. People from taiwan then got pissed off at singapore.
Just just hilarious! Actually local artistes (other than the ones working for TCS) are very creative. People like Hossan Leong, Selena Tan, etc. their shows are very funny and they always poke fun at our dear gahmen.
@GRKalexis im not surprised. recently i was in charge of the registration for my school's annual awards. And the ones who received scholarships were all foreigners. I didnt see any Singaporean.
I enjoyed Dick Lee's songs since I was a teenager. But my friends from mediacorps think otherwise! After listening to this song from youtube, I really think Dick Lee is great!Bought all his CDs,,,bought his book too~!
@hulik13 I was comparing it due to the fact that only British people understand their own humor , and as do we. I find many things funny , the singlish slang amuses me , the fact that people like you hate on us for no reason. We can be crude , but we have good reason to be proud. For one , we have four main races with many others who live together in harmony , the fact that Singapore is one of the cleanest and safest places in the world. Hating us won't change anything , Mr.Czech Republic.
2024 and still watching this 💪🏽
