That breakfast looks so good.nothing like a good breakfast xx
Thank you. Best, Rik
Nice tip with boiling your sausages first then frying them for colour
But why, i have never had any problems with frying them.
You can't beat a full English breakfast
Or 9 stitches across your hand.
In Brazil we can haha but not in the breakfast hahaha
Even my Dog eats better than this Shity food just explained in fancy way 😂😂😂😂
A full Scottish will beat it hands down.
That looks so good!!! I can't help but laugh at the fact that Rik has a wall full of kitchen gadgets, yet he's using the back of two spoons to flip everything.
But why?? Drove me crazy watching him fiddle about with those spoons.
I use owt to hane as anyone in a working kitchen does - I do not go looking for anything even if its there. Best, Rik
Just habit. Best, Rik
Best English Breakfast I've ever seen. Because you're not a restaurant, you make this meal the BEST you possibly can. Restaurants economize and have line cooks who could care less. The difference is abundantly clear. THANKS!!!!
Thank you. Best, Rik
'could care less'? So, that means they care. I think you mean 'could not care less'.
@@BackyardChef This is a high fat breakfast. Not good for the health Chef😂😂😂😂
Who cares - go somewhere else and eat cabbage and stop with the garbage. Best, Rik
@@nishanthalakpriya7922Actually, it's been shown that it's not the animal fat that's so harmful as the carbohydrates. (Seed oils are apparently bad, too.). Better to cut back on the bread. Enjoy those sausages, the bacon, and eggs. 😋
Looks like an amazing meal, but I'm afraid I'd have to take a nap after eating all that until lunchtime! 😅
Thank you. Best, Rik
I am Swedish and spent quite some time in both London and Brighton back in the 80's. I don't recall any occasion when we were having baked beans together with bacon, bangers, fried eggs, fried mushrooms and ditto tomatoes. It was always served with chips.
I would have beans with chips and a fried egg, bread butter and a pot of tea. Amazing food. Best, Rik
Great video! I had my first English Breakfast, and it was fantastic. I was sans the black pudding, as none was available, and the eggs (I forgot to cook them). Everything else on the plate complemented all the other flavors. It took me all day to finish eating it.
Fantastic breakfast. Because I love potatoes though I always add. Sometimes some smoked salmon.
Thank you. Best, Rik
Looks delicious. Good job mate
Thank you. Best, Rik
The most hearty english breakfast ever 🤣🤣🤣 absolutely dig it
My mouth is watering 😂😂😂😂😂
Thank you. Best, Rik
I've just had lunch ,but watching you cook is making me hungry.
Sorry! Glad you are watching though. Best, Rik
Lovely presentation :) you are a great chef! Think I will try this soon… subscribed 🧑🍳💪
Looks amazing!
Oh I say, that is awesome.
Thank you. Best, Rik
Sprinkle sugar on the cooked tomatoes. First time I heard of that I thought no way, but do it once you will never turn back. Black pudding must have Brown sauce to complete the dish.
Looks fantastic! I could hurt myself on that one!
Superb , best & nice recipe , looks so delicious 👍🏼
Streaky bacon (AKA real bacon) made me instantly happy!😊
Just had a very authentic full english brekkie here in Germany, at a place run by Leicester folk. Came home and watched this video, might head right back again for seconds.
Ha ha ha - don't do it! Best, Rik
Yummy, breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. Sometimes I have it for dinner and have oatmeal for breakfast to compensate for my dinner/breakfast meal. Thanks chef for making me hungry. Gotta go buy sausages and bacon now. I've never had black pudding before. Isn't that made of pork blood? 😊❤
Yes it is. Thank you. Best, Rik
Very good
I love a good fry up. I'll have to cook my sausages like that. It seemed to be a quicker way to cook them and they looked nice and soft inside. The mushrooms looked better whole too. I've not had fried bread in years, but always loved it as a child. It's so nice when it absorbs all the other flavours. My dad always made lovely fry ups.
Thank you. Agreed, anything that absorbs all the flavour in makes for good eating. Best, Rik
Such a humble guy, I commented on your yorkshire pudding video, same energy same stuff 👌

Wow. It would take all day to cook and eat all that. But very nice.
As an American who lives on the other side of the transatlantic accent zone, whose father is BVI/English/Scottish... and I'm thinking I could probably eat half that - can't do the tomatoes, the blood sausage can't eat that, mushrooms I will eat all day, bacon, ham and eggs - done
No Hash Browns.... top marks !
Thanks. Best, Rik
All perfect in my opinion. The only thing I didn't like was the crispy bottom on the eggs (I think it's like eating a plastic supermarket bag). Great video and I gave a thumbs up 🙂👍
Thank You. Best, Rik
I agree i don't like that on my eggs but some do, i always flick oil on the eggs so the yolks cook faster and that way no crispy bit underneath.
@@nealgrimes4382I always do my my fried eggs on a low heat for a little while longer. For me, perfect results every time.
I keep eggs in the fridge.
Flipping them over for 10 seconds _("over easy")_ is a must.
What I like about this breakfast, is that it has everything my cardiologist told me to eat to unclog my pipelines. 😂
Ha ha ha. Thank you. Best, Rik
I like Scottish accent, it's beautiful
I do too - best, Rik
What a meal! Looks great Rik.
I've only had a full English breakfast once, but I really enjoyed it and remember it well. It was at "The California" hotel in London, not to be confused with that song by the Eagles.
Try a full English in Yorkshire nothing is the same in London they try to be so posh.
@@davidspeight8790 If by posh you mean being overcharged for a mediocre Breakfast.
I'd like fried bread not toast and no hash browns possibly a slice of liver and kidneys and if it's a really full a lamb chop and a pork chop
Wowzer! Best, Rik
I'm a self proclaimed expert on full english breakfasts and this one is a very good...very good indeed. Some of the cooking is unorthodox (doing the sausagses in the water) but it works. Best fried bread I've seen in awhile. Many youtubers do just one egg. WTF. A diet full english is an abomination. Mr.Backyard chef did real good on this one
Thank you Bob appreciated - LOVE my breakfasts do not eat as many as I once did. Best, Rik
There’s enough food on that plate to feed me for a week. My father used to make this on special occasions.
I didnt eat it all Glen I can tell you there was some serious volunteers that were full
If i was hungry i would savage the lot.
My favorite meal.
Its a winner! Best, Rik
Enough to feed your whole team methinks!
It's Full. Best, Rik
Man after my own heart👍
You eat all that and SOMETHING will be after your heart...😂
My favorite is two eggs over easy, two sausages, two strips of bacon (American), some cheese grits, and a short stack of pancakes with real maple syrup.
So an _American Breakfast_ as opposed to a Full English...
I have had that twice and it was nice for a change.
The sweet syrup on the pancakes seemed strange on the same plate with savoury items.
@@adamkane7513 Pancakes are usually on a separate plate.
@@535tony
That would make more sense.
The "American" style restaurant in England I frequented put it all on one large plate.
OH OH..stop it, You are killing me with craving all of it..I never had cheese grits, but I want some with the syrup right now.
He's cooking with spoons hahahahah
Ha ha ha ha ha and he can play them as well ha ha pathetic! You haven't worked professionally in any kitchen obviously! Best, Rik
i can watch this man cook all day long 🤩
Thank you. Best, Rik
Put a little char on those tomatoes and STOP overcooking the eggs! The yolk shouldn’t be hard as a rock.
Each to their own you stain. Maybe they like their eggs hard
The yolks aren't hard!!!
Thanks for the input.
Tin tomatoes ftw
❤❤😮
Look nice but why are you using spoons unsuccessfully!!! Use tongs!!!
Lord Viscount Sir Bernard Montgomery "Monty" is smiling.
That looked like a monster Breakfast ( in a good way )
So pleased you didnt include hash browns! I always do my sausages in the air fryer as I like the 'baked' appearance rather than brown stripes.
Also, I prefer either toms or beans, but not both as I find the flavours clash.
I had the Full Monty yesterday and was *IT WAS BRILLIANT.* I try to have a Full English three out of the Seven days of the week. One thing I noticed Rik; *YOU FORGOT THE HP SAUCE!* I like the Baked Beans to be *HEINZ ENGLISH RECIPE BAKED BEANS.* NONE OF THAT AMERICAN GARBAGE FOR ME; just 2 Cumberland Sausages, two tomatoes, Back Bacon, two poached eggs, Black Pudding plenty of mushrooms (whole, fried the French way with salt - to take the water out of the mushrooms, and allow the water to be removed completely, then drop in a small knob of butter, fired bread and a nice cup of *STRONG LEAF TEA.*
You, have just made my mouth water. Love Cumberland sausages, I will have to make some. Thanks for the inspiration. Best, Rik
@@BackyardChef Hello Rik. Yes mate, Cumberland Sausages are my favourite although, I am not enamoured with the name Cumberland, especially when you come from Inverness. I have just bought myself all the gear to make home made sausages and I have the recipe for Cumberland bangers so I shall be in seventh heaven when I run up a batch. Cheers my friend!
If you make some good sausages - we could compare recipes to see if they are the same. Good Luck. Best, Rik@@Gordon_Highlander
that amount would do me every day for a week.
❤👍
Great job the way it should be done no bloody hash browns that’s American and fried bread . You should have your own show to show these tv chefs how we used to eat English food not their take on it , all
The best from Robbie and Harley the British bulldog 👍👍👍😊
Thanks Robbie. Best, Rik
@@BackyardChef thanks mate Harley loves the food me too we are here in Melbourne Australia good work 👍
breakfast looks fab , great job. just one question, what are you fannying about with spoons for???, Thanks for the tip on sausages ,
I use what ever I have to hand - I normally just wing the cooking because I do it everyday. Folks use all sorts of tongs etc - but in a working kitchen we just use anything. Best, Rik

@@cliffbrawn8358 More on the way. Best, Rik
Looks tremendously good. Pity that the German sausage don't taste as good as the English. I miss them so much. Have a nice day
Hi Rik that looked wonderful. That amount would do me three breakfasts. I've started to do mine in the air fryer, in fact that's what I'm doing for tea. I don't like eggs or fried bread done in the air fryer, the eggs get a skin on and the fried bread is too dry. I do my fried bread like you did it.
Sounds like I'm needing to come round for tea - Best, Rik
Where did you get the black pudding?
A nice full English.
I picked it up from Bangkok - from a mate - However Rimping do sell Black Pudding the their shops around Chiangmai.
oh! so poor, 'OIL' oh! no get some 'LARD' in there, some flavour, Lard is healthier then oil or butter. But! you remedied it by adding some streaky bacon. I don't know where you got that totally massive frying pan but you can cook for an army. And the fried bread, I can smell it from here the USA.
I cook regular with lard but you know folks moan on here if you do. Best, Rik
It looks amazing HOWEVER once you’ve taken it all out of the pan to store ready for the other bits and bobs, surely the meats would be cold as well as the beans? I can’t cook my full English’s like this, I just bung everything in the oven then do the beans, tomatoes, mushrooms and eggs on the hob.
good way Jennifer. Best, Rik
It's all about timing sausage and black pud first then bacon then beans then egg.
i cant eat mushroom stumps. got to pull them out first.
if u eat that for breafast , u dont have to eat an entire week anymore
Oh boy! that English breakfast looks heavenly delicious.!! i have only eaten an English breakfast one time when we traveled to Victoria, BC You do not see English breakfast on the menu anywhere south of the Canadian border here. in WA State in the US. One item that was not on that English breakfast is ‘black pudding” My Grandma told me they made Blood sausage on the farm in North Dakota.. I am so hungry watching this video, i am wondering can anyone describe the taste of black pudding?? There is an English Tea Room in our little town. They have a British flag in the window and they sell English food items such as jars of lemon curd, jams and various kinds of Tea. My favorite tea is called “Yorkshire Gold” I also noticed cans of Black pudding and something called “Dick”.or spotted Dick.?what is that?? is the black pudding in a can the best way to buy it? All of the traditional one pot dinners that Rik makes are something new to me. The weather here has been so cold, I have been longing for something Hot from the Pot And a big platter of English Breakfast. ❤
English black pudding, a traditional component of a full English breakfast, has a distinct, rich taste. It's made from pork blood, fat, oatmeal, and various seasonings like barley and spices. The flavour is deep and earthy, with a slightly metallic undertone due to the blood. The texture is firm yet slightly crumbly, and it has a hearty, savory profile. The spices and oatmeal provide a balance, adding a subtle grainy, nutty taste that complements the robustness of the blood and pork fat. When cooked, it develops a crisp outer layer while retaining a moist, tender interior. It's often described as an acquired taste due to its unique flavour and ingredients. It's delicious! Best, Rik
Spotted dick is a pudding with currants in it. It is steamed and served hot with custard. It's very nice. It's been around since Victorian times, if not earlier.
If Carlsberg did brekkys, it'd be nowhere near this masterpiece! Well done chef, it looks amazing. What brand of black pudding did you use?😎😎.
Cheers - the black pudding came form the supermarket not sure to be really honest I just look for the best looking one when I buy. Best, Rik
There's only one black pudding, that's Bury black pudding 😂
Now that is proper
Hi Rik, I will have to try boiling the the sausages first, never heard of that:-) & where do you obtain your black pudding? The ones I have tried so far has been tasteless.
I picked it up from Bangkok - from a mate - However Rimping do sell Black Pudding the their shops around Chiangmai.
@@BackyardChef will have to try and make my own, although the fresh blood could be a problem finding it??
I’ve tried black pudding from all over, including local butchers, do you know the most flavourful I’ve tried? Lidl! 4 big pieces for under £1 (may have increased due to inflation recently though!) Sainsburys sell a nice one too, by Simon Howie.
@@icemanknobby Fresh blood is easy to find, getting it out of the Animal is the hard part.

Thanks Doctor for sharing, everyone to their own. Best, Rik
@@BackyardChef yes i am a doctor really !
This looks absolutely fantastic! I have a dumb question. What is black pudding? Is it easy to make? Everything looks delish!!
Black pudding is a type of blood sausage that is traditionally eaten in Great Britain, Ireland, and in other parts of Europe. It is known for its distinctive black color, which comes from one of its primary ingredients: blood, usually from a pig. Its challenging to make at how. However, can be done. Best, Rik
@@BackyardChef Thank you. I will skip trying to make that. LOLOL

Looks really good Khun Rik, one question how did you get the black pudding? it's a really rare item in my opinion.
Hey there Khun Sarawut - yes Black pudding is not availabe everywhere - usually in the areas where foriegners are - Chiangmai Rimping - Pattaya many places - and in Bangkok -there are online ordering sites as well. best, Rik
The best Black pudding is from Bury market in Lancashire England.
@@davidspeight8790 Being from Lancashire i would tend to agree with you.
Black pudding is available in specialty Irish shops in Queens, New York. Some local diners in Queens do a full English breakfast, too, although it’s never as good as the breakfasts I’ve had in the UK. But they’ll do in a pinch when I’m having a craving for a full English!!
The sausages and bacon looked half cooked to me, but where was the bubble?
All down to choice, Dave. Best, Rik
Great looking full english with none of those bloody hash browns 👍👍👍
Some HP sauce and a decent mug of tea and you've got breakfast heaven 🤤🤤🤤

That's like for ten people?
Looks absolutely delicious from a German point of view. But...why on earth do you eat at that in the morning? If I would do that, I could go straight back to bed. Happy, for sure, but unable to work.
Full English is usually a weekend thing as a treat, so you can chill out afterwards. Usually you'd get a smaller one if you fancied one during the week before or during work.

Agreed! Thank you. Best, Rik
Very nice - but baked beans are NOT part of an English breakfast; they (and hash browns) were introduced in transport cafés in the early 1980s. Unfortunately, but understandably, cafes offer what their customers demand.
Let me give you this information and you will see the baked bean has been a choice of many maybe not you - here you go - Heinz Baked Beans first appeared on the shelves in the UK in 1901. They were initially sold at Fortnum & Mason, a high-end department store in London, as a luxury item. Over time, they became a staple in British households and are now one of the most popular canned foods in the UK. So I guess from 1901 I think they made it to the English Breakfast. Best, Rik
@@BackyardChef Not so, Rik. A staple part of the British diet since 1901 - yes - but not as part of a full English breakfast until fairly recently.
Let everyone know from when in your opinion and knowledge. Why keep it a secret and play games - let us all know! Best, Rik
@@BackyardChef I believe it started in transport cafés in the late 1970s or early 1980s. Both hash browns and baked beans are relatively cheap and filling, so they were attractive to café owners who wanted to offer good value to truck drivers. From there, they spread into the general diet. 'Traditional' depends upon one's point of view - but I'd say they're not.
Good comment thanks for posting. Best, Rik

OK I am going to try doing it Riks way with 2 spoons..
No such thing as an English breakfast, it is a cooked breakfast. The English want to take possession of everything, including the British language. The so called English breakfast came into the language when the English started to go to France in the 60's and found the French did not have the same breakfast. An Aussie in the outback having bacon and eggs is not saying to himself this English breakfast is great !
Why would the English want to take possession of the British Language when they speak the English Language, the most recognised language and SORT AFTER in the world. Enlighten all of us why there is no such thing as an English Breakfast instead of the stupid negative comment! No doubt your knowledge will tell us there is No such thing as a New York Cheesecake - because it's a cooked cheesecake in New York. Go moan on someone else's channel. Best, Rik
Just as they take possession of the Bank of England when it is the Bank of the United Kingdom, as I said, the English want to take possession of anything they can, including bacon and eggs for breakfast.@@BackyardChef
Heres the fact - The Bank of England, often referred to as the "Old Lady" of Threadneedle Street, was founded in 1694 and has always been known by that name. It was established as a private bank to act as banker to the Government, and it was specifically set up to finance the war effort during a period of conflict with France. The bank was originally established in the Mercers' Hall in Cheapside, London, before moving to its current location on Threadneedle Street in 1734.
The Bank of England was never officially known as the Bank of the United Kingdom. However, it's worth noting that the Bank of England has acted as the central bank for the entire United Kingdom for much of its history, despite its name. It has been the UK's central bank since the early 20th century, and before the establishment of separate central banks for Scotland and Northern Ireland, it served all parts of the UK.
In 1946, the Bank of England was nationalized and is now wholly owned by the UK government. Despite this, it operates independently of government control when it comes to setting monetary policy, particularly in relation to setting interest rates. GO AND MOAN somewhere else. Best, Rik
yes and it was formed by a Scotsman the same man as formed the Bank of Scotland and when Scotland joined England in 1707 to form the United Kingdom the name of the Bank of England staid rather than what should have happened, th bank of the United kingdom. Can you name another country that has its bank by another nationality like Scotland, Wales and N. Ireland, as I said England wants to take possession of anything they can, even bacon and eggs.

Black pudding is Scottish. What is it with the English and theft.
Steal owt eh!. The practice of using blood in food can be traced back to ancient civilizations and has persisted across various cultures and epochs, it's difficult to attribute the origin of black pudding to a specific place or time. The concept of utilizing every part of the animal, including its blood, is a near-universal one in human history. The Romans are known to have made various kinds of blood sausages. They likely spread the practice to different parts of their empire, influencing local culinary traditions. AGREED - Black pudding became a common dish in medieval Europe, especially in places like the British Isles, France, and Spain. Each region developed its own variations and methods of preparation. The exact origin and date of the first black pudding are difficult to pinpoint but if you want to claim it for Scotland, that's ok. Best, Rik
Oh , I forgot , when the Jacobites matched south they took English towns all the way down to the Midlands. One of those towns, bury, tries to claim black pudding as theirs. It's definitely a Celtic thing as Ireland also has black and white pudding. Even Morris dancing was a Scottish invention. In fact 90% of everything you use today was invented by a scot 🏴
Thanks for your comment - you will have to give us all who, where it originally came from? Then we will all be enlightened to your knowledge of Balck Pudding and the cooking world will have a definitive answer. Best, Rik
@@BackyardChef I did.
nah - you just made it up - no substance to what you have said - but hey ho I'm as easy going as everyone else and if you insist its from Scotland with no documented evidence you must be right and we all thank you for your input. Best, Rik
