They are a bit different, if they actually live on a farm here in the state of bern. They will welcome strangers, generally rather warmly by almost toppling you over. Also had some instances were they were in guard mode. then you better keep your distance, as all gentleness is gone. They can be very clear, one step more onto the farm and you will get torn to shreds. (I live in Bern)

I’m also in Aus and love this breed. I would love to get one but our hot summers would be tough on them I think

Yep, need lots of exercise/stimulation and coat should be brushed every 2 days. Also later health problems plus short life span.
Specifically, their typical life span is 8 years and they like to be with the owner.
