Why do we need ECA?
A credential evaluation is a comparison of your academic accomplishments to standards in the U.S. or Canada. This report helps institutions like schools, employers, licensing boards, or immigration authorities better understand your educational background.
A report from WES:
1. Identifies and describe your credentials
2. Verifies that your credentials are authentic
3. May include a grade point average (GPA) equivalency
4. Includes an evaluation of the authenticity of your documents
List of required documents for WES:
1. Degree Certificate (Final or Provisional) Can be uploaded to My account
2. Statement of Marks (University Issued and Attested)
IRCC asks applicants to submit only their highest completed credential(degree/diploma) for an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA).
If you have an Indian master’s degree or an Indian postgraduate diploma…
You must also provide your bachelor’s degree documents. WES cannot complete an evaluation without these documents.
If you have a doctorate (Ph.D.)…
You do not need to submit your bachelor’s degree or master’s degree for evaluation.
Please note: There are currently five exceptions. Those exceptions apply to people with a Master of Education, Master of Engineering, Master of Philosophy, Master of Technology, or Master of Computer Applications degree.
- In the Academic request form, You need to fill in your details and add the WES number.
- WES Number will be generated after payment is done

hi...I understood the process of filling the form but have few question if you can answer, 1- in the last page of form its says, ask university to sent documents electronically, and below that their is postal address given..so does wes except documents through email also from university or its must to send through post only? secondly do we need to request both transcript and degree from university and how can we send academic request form to university, do they accept through email or we need to give it physically..please guide
1.Your university will know how to send the documents; Your university must have sent documents to the WES in past and they will surely know the process, be it electronic or manual. Don't worry about that.

Degree you can upload in the portal; transcripts needs to be sent by the university unless stated otherwise
3. Academic request form depends upon your college; how do they want to receive it; In most of the cases universities accept the academic request form electronicallyBut do check with your university once.

I went through many videos regarding WES but still unable to understand the process after paying fee, like where I will have to upload my degree and how I can send that request form to university from Canada
Once you have filled the WES form, It will show Required Documents and also tell you if WES has established connection with the University and how you can contact them.
You can also check same by using Required Documents Form.

This will help you to know the process of getting in touch with UNI so that they can send the documents.

Hi , I hold a 3 year diploma certificate(lateral entry) and a BTech degree( which is also lateral entry in 2nd year) .Does WES need both transcripts for evaluation or only Highest education have to evaluate.
Should I have to send 12th documents for evaluation because I entered in 2nd year of diploma through leet process.
WES for only highest degree is needed. For B.tech you need WES for b.tech

Yes definitely, Your WES ECA is valid for five years from the date of issue, and you can continue using your ECA when you submit a new Express Entry profile.

I wanted to know wht is diff between standard and international delivery
In standard Delivery, you don't get a Tracking ID, but in International, you do get it.
International Delivery is also fast.
I have only given name in passport and no surname. So how should we fill up surname in wes account creation. should we leave it blank or add family name in surname also like

Hi, we are not sure on this, but what i found on internet about this is: Irrespective of how you will put your first name or last name, WES issues ECA according to the name present on your transcripts and degree.
