You are absolutely right about pvp feeling like complete garbage. Not only the lag and the unresponsive commands, but the complete lack of balance between thr weapons is absurd.
Do you find lag in open world? I find it feeling a bit janky in OPR, but open world it feels super smooth for me. I'm quite liking the balance of the weapons at the moment, but only if you consider what their purpose is... I think all the weapons are good at their jobs, but there is a lot of imbalance with damage
@@samroscoe944 opr feel really bad on my server. Mostly because the top company farm opr all day and yes opr feels janky. And the great sword is the strongest ranged weapon in the game.
@@jonb6564 yeah Greatsword is definitely very strong at the moment with its tracking and its ability to stick to targets, but even Greatsword has its weaknesses. I'm maining spear Greatsword at the moment and I love it, but I never have my Greatsword out for long because if I get caught in a stun chain I'm dead if caught in Onslaught stance. I suppose like all the weapons, strengths and weaknesses. I definitely know what you are saying about its tracking though.

But the fact that you need a build focused on killing healers to deal with them makes them so strong in most situations, but I suppose healers are meant to be strong or we wouldn't have any lol
What I'm starting to suspect AGS have done is build some sort of time awareness into the netcode to combat desync. It feels like they've made it so that actions are validated based on the timestamp at which they occurred so that players with lag will have their abilities connect even if those abilities haven't fully registered on their opponents' screens. If this is the case, then that would explain why on my server, lag and desync are very player dependant. Some players can hit me with abilities and cc even when I'm not locked into an animation whilst others cannot with the same abilities in the same situations. This makes melee players, especially those with both lag and aoe cc abilities that are entry points into combos very annoying to play against. How do you dodge abilities and attacks that you literally can't see coming? How do you improve if every opponent has different timing windows on when you need to dodge their abilities? The only upside I can think of is that it forces me to get better at predicting when my opponents will use abilities and get better at reading them rather than just rely on reaction time alone but it's still very hard to make the right decisions at melee range when some of your actions are rolled back in complex situations.

For someone who just hit 60 with 550 gear, what would you recommend going for gear wise. Which attributes are most important to have early on? I'm getting so much random gear is there a way to farm specific gear for this build?
The PVP track is going to be your best bet but the thing is you want the pieces from it for the build at 600 expertise, most of my other build I'd say its fine to just keep using gear your expertise as you level up but because these are specific pieces that have shirking heals and stuff from the track I'd say its honestly best to to wait untill 600 to try and start gathering pieces for this build. It's one of the only ones that's so gear reliant but it makes a difference! So play whatever untill you get to 600 :)
i would love to see a life staff + vg immortal hybird build from you , i wanna play it for casual playstyle but no good build guide unfortunetly, u think its viable to do?
It’s definitely viable! You just need to be aware of the pros and cons, what you’re giving up for being “immortal” don’t expect a build like that to put out similar damage to an actual damage build right, you can definitely spec it more towards damage but as long as your expectations are realistic I think it could be a fun build for sure :)
Honestly my opinion on any weapon combo in the game is if you’re passionate about it and put the time into making it work anything is viable. Musket rapier has been a established setup for quite a while but rapier and more importantly musket is getting some interesting changes to it. As with the common themes with my videos I can’t tell you how the build feels or functions because I’ve put 0 time into that setup. But definitely take a look at the ptr musket changes!

Nice 1. I agree that pvp has felt bad lately. In my opinion, they should have never raised server cap to 2500 or whatever it is now. I think that plus the addition of brimstone is more than the servers can reliably handle. Gonna try to get into some open world pvp maybe do a flagged scarab run or sum. Ty for the vid!
Nice build. The server I used to play on, had this fk'n solo chad, on it that used to run spear/s&s. He lacked the healing you have, but the guy was dam near impossible to kill. He would just totally stun lock you and the bleed would just melt you if you managed to get away. By far the most annoying player I've ever ran into. As long as no healer was around, I've seen him take down up to 3 people at once. I just bring this up, cause this might be a better option as a solo build to morph this when not in a duo or if you have a healer.
greatsword shockwave which give u 5 seconds cc immunity counters this build I assume. hope next weapon we get daggers with a lot of mobility. even tho bow can give u 55% bonus haste xd
Yeah unfortunately multiple hastes have diminishing returns, so if it can reach 50% haste it would only be for half a second. Eg. I run haste passive on sns and keen speed, but instead of both lasting 5 seconds, 1 will only last 3 seconds, so my 40% haste is only for 3 instead of 5
Dude I’ve been playing that IG/Rapier build you put up the other day and it is some of the most 1vX fun I’ve had in game
