I'm new to the game and the Fire Staff / Rapier is my favorite weapon combo so far, if you could do a detailed build guide for this one that would be sick.
for now if u want an advice, u need the imperial forge ring, that gives u more fire damage and makes fire damage to last longuer, also put fire gems that will transform ur damamge to fire damage on the rapier, and build everythign around fire damage, 150 dex 200 int rest in cons (this was prior expansion) now idk the attributes as there is more, but it shoudl be a good way to start
Nice dude, you got skills. What are the perks on your weapons? Ive been switching between bow/rapier and fs/rapier since the beginning too so i might wanna go back to fs eventually. Rapier is the most elegant weapon in the game and idk if anything could pull me away except for daggers, if they ever come out that is, Lol.
Awesome clips. Do you think Finisher Fire Staff could make a good build, or is it too hard to spec into both bleed and fire such that grace tree is better with FS?
Yea it will work with all builds. I use finisher on my musket and my great sword build. 15% dmg on bleeding target is great. If you don't have keenly jagged, just run tondo to apply bleeds
Depends on what build you're gunna run next, my Taiyi is perfect for a 2 hit rapier build but if you arent running that I'd run something else. Theres alot of viable perk combos for rapiers now, On my Rapier/IG build I've swapped from officers ceremony to Omni, Shirking Frost and Vicious for more all around dmg vs just backstab damage, If you're doing a build centered around riposte, like I'm going to change my rapier/GS build back to what it originally was, lots of rends on the GS and backstab focus on the rapier, so going for a sundering riposte + whatever else I can get to buff backstab damage rapier.
@@DanzoPVP For me the focus will be a riposte build - with ice, or sometimes fire if the mood strikes. Either way I want fast refreshing - with nimble it should absolutely cook. Though I'm PvP track 99 so no nimble just yet. Honestly the biggest challenge for me is deciding what perks to put on gear I am upgrading. I have gs700 but I need to refine the gear for now, and start using matrixes. Only used one on my rapier so far. Likely get better bang for buck doing some armour and jewellery, but a 2 hit evade spam rapier sounds delightful. Been using a very nice sundering rip rapier though so it's not a big priority considering it costs 3 chromatic seals. Actually that could be some content for you - which artifacts you fancy and what you will do with them perk wise. I think weapon perks this patch are pretty important.
I wouldnt even really worry about the upgrade perks for alot of stuff right now tbh, the final perk is no where near as important as getting a whole build situated around an artifact. I havent upgraded my nimble, my djinns, or anything else other than my Taiyi rapier and Finisher, the final perk imo just helps min max out the build. If you're targeting a 2 hit build then I'd definately try out the Taiyi @@JeepoUK
And the other thing as well is, the final perk on an artifact is going to be different for everyone, there is really no "best" for any artifact, ice harnessing makes alot of sense on my djinns wrap for my ig rapier but not anyone else running that arti, shirking lightning on my finisher for my lightning blade but not for most other builds etc@@JeepoUK
hi! Good gameplay as always. I don't like the fire/blunderbuss meta(in my opinion, you cannot compare the dmg with other weapons), but you were good even before season2. And your style is still aggressive and worth to watch. Can you tell me what program do you use to create your videos? Hope to find you someday in a Global OPR ;)
I think it's really strong if you arent running an int build, especially since all of it's damage is strike damage and not fire damage, so depending on your build you can potentially do more damage with it than an int fire staff build because people don't generally build for strike defense
I've always used elemental gems in all of my weapons in the game from the beginning because I just like the way that elemental gems look on your weapons. I'm not the best person to ask because I dont just run super meta in every slot for no reason, However elemental gems have become more and more viable as overall damage has increased in the game. People build towards things like thrust and slash damage specifically now so running a conversion gem in your rapier or GS for example, already did before, but even more so now nets you more damage overall than an opal for example because way less of your overall damage is being mitigated. A thrust only damage rapier with an opal does less damage agaisnt a target with 25% thrust resist than a rapier with an elemental gem in it because that target likely has low arcane, void, ice, or nature damage resistance if they ALSO have 25% thrust resistance. And then on the tier of gem, t5 because of what I just mentioned, you want as much of your damage to be elemental so less of your total damage is being mitigated. T5 gems used to be what i'd run all the time but runeglass gems with a DoT does far more damage for that 10% loss in elemental damage
@tribe6154 that's not true at all. All you need is keenly jagged and finisher works great. Not saying it's bis for this build but you can use the entire grace side. I use it with bow and only have keenly jagged on bow
You can get way more than 15% extra damage through other perks. It'd be a waste imo to be running the finisher just to get 15% extra damage on my fs when I can put on a rapier that gives me way more damage on my rapier (for a non bleed build)@@dragonsauce358
You're talking so much about the rapier, but in fact you deal 70% of your damage by FS. I'm not saying you haven't done anything, don't get me wrong, gameplay was pretty cool, but mages are really really strong now, I would say even OP. Totally not the simple melee or assassins meta :D
Uh thats the build? not sure if you're new to the channel or not but I'm talking about how much damage rapier does currently vs. last patch. Didn't say anything regarding what you're talking about

"let my hit um with the whippy-doodle and put him in my time slow!"

Appreciate that! I've got my build in the follow up to this one, th-cam.com/video/wA_QHXmCGcw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=gvmrQr_yh1LU9tb5
Bro sick vid, would love to see what you’re running in terms of gear and stats!
Shirking heals, ankh if I was a betting man.
Awesome clips.
Do you think Finisher Fire Staff could make a good build, or is it too hard to spec into both bleed and fire such that grace tree is better with FS?
All you would do imo is have keenly jagged on firestaff and now you have the 15% damage on both weapons. Don't need to build into bleeds at all
I think it makes for one of the strongest finisher builds there is, check out @astrolomagi , they are doing a really good version of that build atm
Yea it will work with all builds. I use finisher on my musket and my great sword build.

Have the same rapier just not upgraded it yet - making me want to. You recommend? Bleeding ice build is mostly done so this is next....

I use vegas pro :)
Are you running the same armour as the ice gauntlet build ?
GOAT
What do you think of the inferno artifact? Ive been really thinking about trying that with sword and shiled or flail.

what r ur thoughts on gems/runeglass in int weapons? like ur useing.. T2 or runeglass or just opal etc?

Hey there 😊 What perks on firestaff you running?
Vicious, empowering incinerate, shirking abyss
what rapier u running need smt good for my rapier greataxe build
For rapier/great axe I'd use something like sundering riposte, or penetrating backstabs with whatever else
what are u not using the Finisher?
because hes using the grace tree, finisher is basically only good for bleed rapier
@tribe6154 that's not true at all. All you need is keenly jagged and finisher works great. Not saying it's bis for this build but you can use the entire grace side. I use it with bow and only have keenly jagged on bow

Yeah for sure. Just saying it's not only usable as a bleed rapier.
