Right?! I think the only reason Zack was interested in Irina was because he thought she'd be a hot, Russian, model, or something. Ooop, jump scare (inside and out).
@@bf3071 I also think that it was unhealed trauma for him. He said that he knew that she was immature and manipulative and had the capacity to be vicious, but yet he trusted her? No. He was used to chaos, he trusted chaos. Bliss was stability. When Bliss told him that he deserves more, he couldn’t take it.
@@Dayo_kid That was the part that killed me. He clocked how she operates and chose her OVER THE PERSON WHO CALLED A TRUCE FOR HIM (and who told him you'll reap what you sow/will reveal your ability to gauge a person's character if you choose her)!
Kwame isn't giving SK energy, he's giving BARTISE energy. He knows he's not into Chelsea but he's going to pretend to the VERY END that he's all about her.
I mean they’ve been married for over a year and they legit seem happy, so it’s very possible Netflix gave them an arc that made it look worse than it was
My favorite part of this show so far was this exchange: Irina: "I wish I was nicer. I'm like, not nice at all." Chelsea: "Why don't you then?" Girl yesss the realness!
It's where I started loving Chelsea. At first I wasn't sure if she gave me season 1 'that drunk blonde with constant wine stains on her lips'. But after she said that to Irina I was like giiiirllll.... I see you... You're so cool.
I SNORTED when Zack was about to meet Irina for the first time, and he was listing all these things she didn't know about him yet, and he goes: "She doesn't know the colour of my skin." No, Zachary. She knows.
I’m having feelings that Irina likes getting things/people that “belong” to others. She wanted Zach because Bliss wanted him too, now she wants Paul because he’s with Micah. She seems like a very insecure person who needs the ego boost when someone chooses her over another woman.
I've been saying the same thing. I know they don't look identical, but to be grossed out by one and attracted to the other based on looks is wild. I think Irina just likes men who are taken, but not by her.
Mean girl behavior triggers me so much, I would not have been able to keep my cool. Imagine being in your late 20's and still acting like a high-school bully. Everyone always tells you that bullying will end after high-school but it doesn't. Some people are just genuinely mean and they never grow out if it. This is how Karen's end up Karen's.
Same but can I also say how much life it gives bullied little child inner me to see the deservedly negative feedback those two are getting from everyone and how they also end up miserable by their own actions. Makes me see some hope even if it's a vengeful way of thinking, but I ain't healed enough to feel differently yet.
@@SYENU7313 I have a theory about that. I think Karen's are made when people don't bend the rules for them. Growing up they were pretty, popular, everything was easy for them. They think they deserve to have life handed to them because they got away with so much in school. They were told how they were destined to have an attractive husband and a big house just by virtue of their beauty. Things were supposed to be differnt for them. As you get older though people grow to have a very low tolerance for childish bullshit and so when they stopped getting special treatment they double down and as a result we have Karen's.
@@trashpanda3544 well... perhaps NOONE should get that kind of special treatment where you (as a kid) are told and shown over and over again that you are going to get away with whatever you do. Kids are supposed to learn how to be adults. FUNCTIONING adults. A twenty/thirty/whatever yo person should not have an overgrown temper tantrum just because their coupon is just not valid anymore. Make kids realize that there are consequences for their actions, so that when they become adults they will be better.
If I became a billionaire, first thing I’m doing is buying the unedited love is blind footage cause I NEED TO KNOW what’s going on cause the “connections” make less and less sense each season😭
Honestly, there have been moments of unkindness or outbursts in previous seasons, and the circumstances the show manufactures is bound to cause hurt feelings. That's one thing. But Irina and Micah go out of their way to be catty and unkind in ways that are wholly unproductive and uncalled for.
The way they laughed at girls crying and manipulated guys into dumping the other girls they were seeing.... It's almost unbelievable villain behavior to a point i wonder if they do it on purpose to be talked about on TV
Man did you see Micahs 2 best friends. Especially the blond one with tons of makeup. Did you see how she reacted and treated Paul. Tells me a lot if you keep friends like that around
Thank God they are white women....there is always this projection on media that black women are angry, uncouth, and catty. So to see that such behaviour happens in EVERY race is nice to see. Bad behaviour is common in every group and not limited to one. These two ladies acted poorly especially TOWARDS other women. Women are usually the ones who oppress their fellow women, but no one talks about it and hides behind feminism. If we promote more of humanism where we treat people well regardless of whatever, the world will become more of a better place to live.
@@Eionnah It was in the previous season. He didn't have much presence bc the guy wasn't picked by anyone but dude was giving Diet NBC Hannibal the whole time. The tears thing was during testimonials where he literally put eye drops to make it seem like he was crying and thought they were gonna cut it out in post. The guy's name evaded me but his behaviour was very uncanny.
That pool party was such a mess, the fact that Chelsea asked Kwame to get her some chips and guac and she NEVER GOT THEM because he was glued to Micah’s asshole - I was mad FOR her. And where the hell was Paul while this 20 minute convo was going on?? Chelsea is left being the only one to openly express concern that her partner is showing interest in someone else! EARTH TO PAUL
The fact that right after Chelsea asked Micah wanted a power trip of I can take your man at any time or he's yours but he's really mine pissed me off. Kwame allowed Micah to humiliate her and got angry at the wrong thing. He didn't get her the shot, but he took it with her and only got mad at her once she mentioned the proposal, not because of any of her terrible behaviors.
The best connection in this show is Paul and Zack. Maybe them choosing the worst girls possible was kind of worth it because it made them bond over their shared terrible intuition and nerdiness.
from what i’ve seen, i think a lot of the women on the show, especially irena, are saying that zach is “weird” and “creepy” when he just seems to be socially awkward. irena went on a whole tirade about how he doesn’t blink when he talks and was telling him that it freaked her out to his face. idk if something happened off-camera, but as an autistic person and based on what we’re shown, the hate towards zach comes off as slightly ableist and just off-putting because i’m genuinely not seeing anything egregious from him
I thought Zach was pretty funny. He may not be "smooth" or whatever it is these shallow 20-somethings look for, but he's smart and quick-witted. ETA: it's giving "eww, he's so creepy/weird" mean girl high school vibes. Something they would say about a guy that's socially awkward, smart, nerdy, or not like them. That's not a mature adult reaction to someone that's just different from you.
Zack got manipulated, full stop. Instead of Irina owning up to forgetting his birthday, she chose to put in his head that she was a victim. While Bliss went full wifey mode and was super thoughtful, Irina chose that if can’t look better, then make Bliss look bad. Such a shame.
@@moatrboat Yeah. I really liked him, despite the "off" vibes that some were getting, and wish he and Bliss didn't have to go through that bs just to end up together after all, but I am glad they are happy!
Micah and Irina definitely came on this show to be competitive and that’s it. They wanted to boost their egos by showing that they could successfully “take someone else’s man” and stir up drama to feel better about themselves. They picked this show in particular b/c they wouldn’t be able to cut it on shows like Too Hot To Handle🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️ I’ll be very surprised if Micah and Paul make it tbh.
They act like “bombshells”. As soon as Micah heard Kwame and Chelsea are getting closer she went harder on him. Then saw Amber was happy and went him on Paul
So basically. Irina manipulated that guy into breaking it off with Bliss out of pity and then discarded him because she didn't want a partner, she just wanted a win.
irina treating the other girls especially bliss terribly and then telling zack a story about how she's misunderstood before bliss can tell her side. im still mad at zach btw
Mean girls are super good at manipulating ppl who have never dealt with mean highschool girls personally. For me I'd be able to spot what she was doing from a mile away, but I get Zach just taking her at her word.
@@trianenopenottrian9108 But to be real, how is this different than saying a woman deserves her abuser because she picked him. I'm never going to blame someone for trusting a person.
@@kells4315 yeah I also have some sympathy for him. The guy clearly had a difficult childhood (to put it mildly) and one kinda can’t blame him for being taken in by a manipulator. Perhaps he’s not a great judge of character, but many survivors or childhood trauma aren’t.
I think kwame's beef with irina is that he thinks she's the bad influence on micah, which is hilarious like tf bro they're both EQUALLY mean and evil 🙄 micah is just more sneaky about it
It is far worse but Brett & Tiffany make me feel like the world is healing for 30-somethings. They’re so stinking cute!! 🥰 They should have a 30-somethings only cast next season!
Part of me wants this so badly but another part of me is paranoid that Netflix would end up casting the worst people who are immature and messy even at that big age and it'll have me lose even more hope 😂
Zach trusted Irina (wrongly) because she gave off a devil may care, what you get is what you see vibe, from forgetting his birthday to telling him about her acne - it’s clear she has no filter which he mistook for forthrightness. It’s a lot more common than you think. Sometimes people who are “just being real” are actually just being really rude. Period.
A few things from the first three episodes: 1. Those edited conversations are ridiculous! Half of it seemed added in post. 2. Marshall looks like a mix of Jesse Williams and Anthony Mackie. Can’t unsee it. 3. Those guys choosing Micah and Irina sure makes me feel better about being single.
Bliss said in an interview that when she requested the ingredients for the cupcakes Irina took the eggs and some ingredients to do a grilled cheese sandwich but they edit that out which is soo rude of Irina to do !!
I read the Micah, Paul, Kwame situation as Micah genuinely liking Kwame. She said Paul was a slow burn, but felt instantly connected to Kwame. But once she saw Amber all happy, her insecurity and competitiveness kicked in. She wanted to prove she could take another girl's man. She wanted to prove she was better than Amber, because you're right, she is miserable. I feel the same about Irina, she went for Zack because she wanted to one up Bliss.
I completely agree but paul did the same thing! he literally said his flight or flight kicked in when Kwame was vocal about liking Micah and the conversation right after was when they decided to cut things off with other people
Bliss was loving and consistent. Irina was sporadic and aloof. Zack thought Irina was a baddie and that Bliss was an insecure nerd, and assumed jealousy was the source of her dislike of Irina, even though Bliss is more conventionally attractive imo. He thought he'd get a hot girl fantasy from Irina. His situation is a microcosm of how men fumble by prioritizing the wrong things.
There's literally zero evidence to point that Zack is as superficial as you frame him. The man messed up BIG TIME, for sure but the way more reasonable and realistic explanation is that he felt for Irina being 'judged' by Bliss, just like his mother was judged. Couple that with the fact that he literally cried over how his previous girlfriend's parents judged him for his upbringing and Bliss said his parents might not like him. Like it's one thing to dislike Zack and him not being your cup of tea but it's a whole other thing to project something like that on him.
@@nope748it also looks like she acted extensively different in the pods to get the proposal. The man can only do so much. I'm guessing he's a little love starved so he went after the one that love-bombed him. As opposed to the girl that would be real with him when warranted, it seems like he read anything that wasn't excessive affection as bad. Bliss wouldn't lie about it being possible that her family wouldnt like his upbringing, she faced it to talk it through though, knowing he needed the truth and it might end it. High character trait and he absolutely missed it in the moment. His relationship with his Mom is informing everything that went on here. Forgive her, man, work out the trauma!
@@nope748 You may be right about the judgment element, however, in the subsequent episodes (not covered by Kennie in this video), he outright says that Bliss "doesn't look like how she sounds". He probably heard that Irina was Russian and assumed she was the hotter of the two. Men aren't that complicated, let's be honest. And several things can be true at once. I also think his rocky relationship with his mum made Irina's chaotic energy a familiar feeling, which is why he picked her, despite the knowledge that she's "vicious" (his word). He likely needs therapy. I worry that Bliss is too evolved and mature for him.
Someone said this in another comment section regarding Zach, Bliss, and Irina and it made so much sense. They said that the whole reason Zach chose Irina over Bliss was because Bliss told him he would regret it if he chose Irina and his ego wanted to prove her wrong and got in the way of his decision making, so he self-sabotaged. And Bliss was right, he regretted it and it says a lot about his character that he makes major decisions with his ego.
Also I think her saying her family might not approve of him was a trigger, because his past gf's family didn't approve of him and that obviously bothered him.
Personally i didn't read it as if it was his ego but it's like..when she said that he took it the wrong way? He didn't have as much Irina info as all of us do, it's hard to imagine they'd bring someone so toxic to the show even for ME as a viewer, I don't think he imagined Bliss was very much REAL saying what she did and he might have taken it the other way around as if Bliss was the one trying to manipulate him. Whole Irina was probably the one doing that reassuring him and "making him feel special" and Shiz like he said "she's the one I trust the most". Granted, i was mad as HECK when he chose her but when he quickly saw her colors on the honeymoon I just... Idk I guess i understood him. I feel that was when it started to dawn on him that Bliss was right (or at least I hope so)
I thought that Bliss making those comments about Irina made Zach think SHE was the catty one when really it was a genuine warning considering she saw the real her rather than the best parts of her that she was showing to Zach while in the pods.
Honestly when he couldn't choose between either of them, I no longer cared for him and wanted Bliss to let him go and just let him have Irina. Both strike me as not being great people and Bliss deserves better.
@@katgreer6113 They can't see each other until they propose, that means that Zach and Paul initially picked them for their personalities. Which makes it all so much worse.😂
@@__L__837yeah people act like they present their mean girl personas 24/7, like obviously when they’re in the pods absent the presence of other guys/girls they don’t have anyone to lash out toward. People can have good personalities in a vacuum and then turn into complete hags when there’s someone to bully.
That avoidant, very non-committal laugh Kwame does instead of just giving a legit answer unnerves me. Like just be normal… Edit: after finishing the series I think Kwame still nasty but Chelsea is delusional 💀
There's a flower in one version of the victorian flower language that means "You fell asleep while I confessed my love to you, I will never forgive you" and I always wondered what oddly specific situation that could be used for...and here we are, love is blind truly is a blessing lol
I felt so bad for Brett when he took the one chance to be vulnerable and Tiffany fell asleep but I’m sorry i fell on the flooooorrr. Glad he forgave her though cause talking all day can be tiring.
Irina started the rumor that Zach was weird from inside the house and sabotaged Bliss and Zach when she saw that the girl she disliked liked him, too. He seems like the good person. Just easily manipulated, and Irina probably reminded him of his mom. Once he realized this, he wanted Bliss, the right person. It's funny because even the camera crew noticed (and so did Paul & Irina). That's why they kept bringing Bliss back up. Usually, the two part ways and go home. But they are trying to give Zach and Bliss a second chance to connect without Gretchen Weiners is gaslighting him.
Bliss was dead on when she said told Zach she questioned his logic for liking Irina. How he kept saying how much he trusted Irina...omg. I was screaming at my TV. We all make mistakes, but damn. He's a defense attorney, he should have been able to cut through the bullshit, but I think he really ignored his gut...always a bad move.
Consider Irina's persona on TV (idk her in real life i can say anything about it), i wouldn't be surprised if she manipulated him into thinking he's soo special, soooo loved, like the narcissistic behavior of bringing someone in then kicking them out. When he said he picked her cause she made him feel special i was like...huummmmm But anyways I'm glad they broke things off pretty quickly. Bliss is such an amazing woman
@@Hokie5Libra82 I think Defense attorney's are generally misunderstood and also misrepresented on TV. They don't really need to have the skills to find the truth since their job is mostly to make sure the prosecution team followed all the rules they are supposed to in accusing/charging someone, and their client gets the best representation possible against possible miscarriages of justice. So it doesn't surprise me that he tries to see the best in people, it's probably what motivates him to help his clients.
Yeah I think him being a defense lawyer and giving people the benefit of the doubt was the reason. Also, he might have had a “I can fix her” moment when he thought he had heard tiny crumbs of vulnerability from her.
A friend from high school was on this season and I was so excited to see him, but once I saw Irina and Micah, I was PRAYING he wouldn’t get matched with either of them. Thankfully he didn’t match with any of them and he’s barely on screen. He really saved himself the embarrassment of this season lol
Never in all my years of watching reality TV have i witnessed anything as horrifying and god awful as irina and zack seeing each other for the first time, it just kept getting worse and worse and worse. If anyone reacted like that after seeing me for the first time id just go to sleep and never wake up again
Sounds like Zach has mummy issues, aka fix it, problems. He wants to save her in a way he wasn't able to save his mother. He wants to see the best in her like people didnt and still dont see in his mother and what she did for him. He probably thinks Irina is only her true self with him, when really she only bothers to be fake with her. He really be looking for his mother. He cried because he knew he was ignoring his brain. He was fulfilling a childhood need. He beeds therapy.
Mica gaslit Kwame in the pods to make him believe she was his one. Given Kwame is a fool but Mica out right told him that she cares for him the same way and basically don't pick Chelsea. Absolutely mad.
She just liked knowing she could take him from Chelsea but once she had confirmation from Paul that he would pick her she didn't need to hold on to Kwame anymore.
@@ashleybow correct. Irina did the same thing to Zack by bad mouthing Bliss with him. Zack didn't like that. Then Bliss came in and told him what she felt abt Irina WHICH WAS VALID. But he didn't like the fact that she would judge him based on how he would choose. Hoss everyone does that! I was definitely looking at you different if u chose her over me, knowing what I know about her. And now u want to see me? Nahhhhhhhhh Irina just wanted to win over Bliss. That's all
Several of the* women have said they don't like Zach but all the men love him and they've actually spent time with him lol I think the women were put off by him because of how he acted in the pods at first and then him picking Irina over Bliss gave them a bad taste too
I never thought about that. All the women know Irina and Bliss, for Zach to choose irina over bliss probably made them think that he’s just as messy as her so they probably take his non-malicious awkwardness a lot more hostile than it is
It's a red flag for us girls that he led with the mum being a.. Worker story and that no one accepts him because of his past. It screams unresolved mommy issues.
I am rewatching this whole video again because our girl deserves the views for her hard work. Kennie suffers truly bad movies and hot messes like Love is Blind so us poor mortals don’t have to
The issue I have with both Kwame and Marshall is they feel like they know they're on camera and they want a MOMENT. Like they want to be seen as philosophical and suave and emotionally intelligent. But it comes off fake and awkward. The way that Kwame talks about Paul being a "villian" but doing the same to Chelsea makes me angry in the same way that Marshall walks down the hallway to confront Josh like he's walking into a boxing ring...
I get what you’re saying I see it a lot with kwame. Marshall I think it’s less intentional, he comes off like someone who has a hard time being taken seriously so he’s a bit dramatic with his confrontations but that’s just me
@Ari Cons I feel like maybe they have seen one too many romance movies lol. Just the way they talk. Gianina (not sure how to spell her name) as the same. It felt so unnatural.
The part where Micah breaks Kwame’s heart and Paul breaks Ambers heart to be with each other was so ironic to me because of the fact that it’s Chelsea talking to Amber and comforting her. Chelsea, who likes Kwame and knows that somewhere nearby Kwame is also heartbroken. I think to me, if I were Kwame watching this later on, I would note the fact that Chelsea was sympathetic towards Amber while Micah was laughing.
I can’t wait to hear your opinion of the new episodes because the way Josh was acting at Chelsea’s birthday party was a one way ticket to CRINGE city, and not in a good way lol
Have you watched the Japanese version? It’s like a breath of fresh air compared to the American version. It’s basically not messy and everyone seems to have an actual interest in taking the whole thing seriously and finding love.
I think Irina started the rumor of him being creepy among the women and his sense of humor didn't help... she is a high school mentality in a body of an ugly woman!
Yeah; I can see getting off vibes from him but what they did in some scenes was straight shit-talking. If you don’t like him don’t talk to him and move on!
Over talking is a trait of neurodivergency. Not to diagnose Zack, but considering his other traits that come off a bit socially awkward, it’s entirely possible he’s on the neurodivergent spectrum somewhere. For the most part I find Zack fairly genuine. Not perfect, but there are no issues I have seen that are intentionally mean spirited.
After this season I lost hope for "older" folks to be more adult or less messy TBH. It WOULD be cool though, don't get me wrong, but just if Netflix fixes its process in choosing people
You’re so right about Kwame!!! He said his favorite thing about Chelsea is how into him she is.. and his issue with Micah was that she didn’t “validate” him enough. SMH! He’s just honestly the worst.
I think this season they chose more passive and bland men due to how problematic the men were in the past. They're relying on the women to be more problematic to fill in the gaps (i.e. Irina and Micah).
Don’t forget about the part where Jackie goes back to Micah telling her what Chelsea said about her talking to Kwame… “If you wanted Kwame you can take him” LIKE JACKIE GIRL WHY
This! Instead homegirl is using Marshall as her confidant and punching bag all at the same time. I don't like how she nicknamed him some her duma$$ or whatever she called him. He's clearly not her type physically and she used every excuse in the book to avoid being physical or intimate with him yet calls the man out for not being more aggressive or wanting sex. Bish whet? Just go back to your baller type emotionally abusive men or leave poor Marshall alone and work on yourself.
@@altheab4375 LITERALLY! She wants the toxic mess probably because she doesn’t think she deserves real love and Marshall is literally the sweetest guy and is willing to do that. But if she ain’t willing to actually work on herself then there’s no hope
Man... I wanted to like Jackelina after the first few episodes, but later on the way she treats Marshall isn't cool. Especially telling him he isn't aggressive enough to be a man? That's just putting him down and encouraging toxic masculinity all at once. I feel bad for him now and I hope he gets out.
Just started episode 10... ugh Jackelina is pretty awful. She just wants to go behind Marshall's back and be toxic with Josh together. Good for Marshall though, he can go find someone much more considerate.
I related a lot to Jackie and have said the same to men before because they always become like Marshall. I realize how toxic it sounds but the way it’s meant is “don’t sink yourself beneath me or put me on a pedestal. hold your own and be confident and don’t look to me for all the answers. do your own thing”. Annoyingly many men haven’t figured out how to be sensitive/secure and strong/confident at the same time. No one wants an abuser but often abusive men don’t sink themselves which is why many women go for them even though they’re treated worse
Agreed. Marshall did nothing wrong and did a lot of very sweet, loving things to prove his love to Jackie and she turned around and trashed him verbally, emotionally and mentally and he deserves so, so much better. His support of all of the men on the show proves he had a beautiful heart and soul and I think he should hold off until he meets someone who treats him exactly the way he treats her.

I don’t think Micah or Irina genuinely *want* anyone - they want to win, even if it means screwing each other over. You clocked it perfectly in calling them miserable; they are deeply insecure and can never just enjoy their relationship without worrying if it’s a victory over a (real or perceived) rival. It’s sad
That bit about Micah being an “empath” immediately lit my red flags up because the first person that comes to my mind as calling themselves an empath is Shane Dawson and there’s no good there lmao 😂💀 Edit: and those moments of the girls in the house together being all catty and crappy behind each others backs kill me too. i would not of my own free will ever watch a reality dating show, but watching you explain the events of a reality dating show for an hour? now THAT i will do happily
I thinks Zach was scared of Bliss’s confidence, probably unconsciously though. That woman knows what she wants, she knows her worth, she doesn’t need him to validate her. On the other hand, Irina is so insecure and that was in a way reassuring to him because he could see clearly he was essential to make her feel secure and loved. When he said he could trust her, he meant that he could trust she wasn’t going anywhere without him (or so he thought). Anyway, that man’s gotta learn to have some confidence for himself and see women’s confidence as a strength and not feel threatened by it. Seeing how things are going now, he’s learning.
My highlights of the teleparty(reuploaded) -Everyone trying to find everyone signs(Bliss, Libra gang) -Ppl calling Micah and Irina, Regina and Gretchen -Zach being called a budgeted John Mulaney -everyone calling out Kwame for having SK energy -some people, including myself, saying that Paul is like the senior that preys on freshman
Whats with the Kwame and SK comparisons though? Serious question they don't come across the same way at allll to me. Let's not forget before the after-show drama most people loved SK and it seems no one loves Kwame on the show so how is it same energy?
@@jayzt705 Kennie explains why she gets similar vibes in the video, but essentially it boils down to the idea that both of them are really looking for validation above all else
@@Jeshiae Yeah that makes sense in the end. With Kwame that's really on the surface though, he has such an extra way of talking and trying to sound like an intellectual, whereas SK came across as the most normal, slightly boring person while on the show, thats why I asked
Mean girls will always eat their own. It's fascinating to see people like Micah and Irina come together because there isn't a single ounce of friendship between them. In a way I think it reflects a vicious cycle of surviving other aspects of their life that is beyond their control. As Kennie said, they're both miserable people. Thing is, mean girls will always make excellent television. Better on my screen than in my life, that's for sure!
I honestly think the moment Zach decided against Bliss was when she spoke about her family and his own insecurities and trauma from his past relationship being judged by in-laws. He chose Irina because he thought he wouldn't measure up to Bliss in her family's eyes...
Thank you! People ignore him LITERALLY ADMITTING A FEAR/TRAUMA with past partnes and completely ignore it. Bliss basically told him his worst fear would happen. Ofcourse he would run
The whole scene with Micah and Irene asking Kwame to get them things was giving personal butler. Micah also knew it would get a reaction out of him by saying what she said
When you said Paul is Michigan/Midwestern hot, I knew exactly what you meant, and I died 💀. It's like the basic bitch for men. EDIT: trauma 🐇 ... r u SERIOUS people?!?!
I kinda gave Zach the benefit of the doubt in these first couple of episodes. He didn't see how Irina was with the women, and with Bliss, she said to him that it would be telling of him if he chose Irina. Considering how openly he talked about being judged, it seemed obvious to me that he would be defensive of Irina, even tho Bliss wasn't wrong. Hell, even Irina seemed more accepting if he chose Bliss like Kennie mentioned at 51:55 (didn't buy that ofc). Tbh, it was a misstep on Bliss's part to tell him that.
I fully agree, even tho damn Bliss would have been great for him because if he had payed attention, she judged Irina on her actions not her past and relayed to him that because she knows how Irina is it would reflect on him badly too for her. She's basically saying actions matter more for her in terms of judgement than past
Also, Irina's fixation with Bliss while she was on dates with Zach should have been some kind of sign to Zach. But for whatever reason, he inexplicably trusted her 🤷
I think it was also off-putting to Zack that Bliss said her family never liked any of her exes, and that she was sure they would probably not like her future husband either, since no one would be good enough for her in her family's eyes. Zack had already vaguely told her at that point that he got rejected by an ex-girlfriend's family in the past, because of his upbringing/family background, etc. When Zack said that he would really like for her family to accept him, she was like "What? But why do you care?" And he's like "Because they matter to you, and you matter to me." And she somehow still doesn't get it, and acts almost annoyed that he would want that? 😅 Idk, I really like Bliss, but that was a huge red flag for me. I could see how she could seem a bit cold or harsh sometimes while in the pods.
100% agree. I couldn't stand Irina but she played the game in the pods well by conveniently just saying enough to seem vulnerable and slightly insecure about Zacks connection with Bliss when talking to him and about how she was viewed by other women in the pods. Naturally, when Bliss came in afterwards and was more forthright in her critique of Irina's character, that automatically caused Zack to become defensive of Irina because of what she shared with him earlier, his past of being judged, and because Irina wasn't there to defend herself. I think Bliss knew that she somewhat overstepped (even though she was honest) because she seemed to reel in her thoughts a bit immediately afterwards when she could've easily elaborated.
I’m so surprised that you love Jackie, because I don’t due to her interactions with the women on the island. The new episodes that came out yesterday further confirmed to me that I don’t like her. Also Micah and Irina are still friends even after Irina saying she likes Paul.
Possibly controversial- I don’t think Bliss should go with Zach. I think he has a lot to sort out in therapy, particularly around why he got so attached to Irina so quickly and with so little to go off of. Irina and Micah are the most immature and insecure reality tv cast members I’ve seen in a hot minute, like it would feel calculated if they weren’t so painfully awkward. Bless you Kennie for this commentary, this not only saves me five hours of agony but adds infinitely more joy and entertainment ❤❤❤❤
I knew I was over him the second he brought up being rejected to pick up a girl from her house because he's black. You know if you picked a black girl that wouldn't happen but nope would never do that 😂. And then wanting to use the name Alex to up his chances getting a yt girl. He's so sad
I think the reason why the girls don’t like Zack is because he’s neurodivergent, sadly. He’s someone who some will love immediately and others will grow to love because he stays true to himself
YEP! I was put off the absolute most over their Zack comments than anything else. It was clear they had no reason aside from him not strictly adhering to the social rules they live and die by. They get straight up hateful about him, it freaks me out how fast it became so high intensity.
The fact that Micah opened up episode 6 basically saying "Zack is not that bad, he's a nice guy but because he's so weird/strange it's easy to pick on him" really proves that maybe most girls don't like him for this reason. And if that's the case its really sad.
@@vanessa_lmao8219 I thought it was so weird and icky when he was just shooting off ethnicities when trying to guess the background of one of the Asian women on the show.
Even tho imo the chaos doesn’t seem to be as big as it was on season 3, this season makes me itch more, from Micha to Idina to Kwame it just makes my face get all stank
She 100% is chaos which reminds him of his mom. He's comfortable in chaos while bliss is stability that he is just unfamiliar with so not as trustworthy
Zack refusing to play Irina's game and not letting himself be strung along was one of the best moments of the season. (After she says they should sit apart on the plane but not giving him closure, it seems as though she always expects to call the shots with no consideration for his wants and needs)
Zack looks like someone tried to draw one of the property brothers from memory 🤣 That aside he doesn't seem that weird to me. Idk what they cut out but he seems pretty standard Seattle awkward yt guy to me lolol
Maaan to me, Zack is an absolute dreamboat, including his social awkwardness. I was so sad every time people called him weird or too much or creepy. As a neurodivergent woman I'm well aware who is often called these things, and I did see some of myself and my friends in him and even in Bliss. I don't wanna diagnose anybody though lol
I thought what Amber said was honest and emotionally intelligent. Haven't been in a situation like that myself and I've never cheated - but it makes sense. We don't know how we'll behave or what we'll do until we're in the situation. Everyone agrees it's wrong -and yet so many do it. It didn't scream red flags to me at all, but rather, someone who has done a lot of healing from having been cheated on and has concluded it's not a simple mistake.
I'm two months late but YES! I get that it's not something you want to hear from a potential partner and that it would probably make most people (including me) at least hesitate but I appreciated her honesty in that moment. It's not easy to admit something like that to a potential partner (or anyone tbh) so I think that this was 1: brave and 2: a sign that she was taking this seriously and genuinely wanted to find out if they were compatible - even if that meant talking about some really uncomfortable topics that would show her in a bad light.

They look so different lol
@@nope748 No they really don't.
I didn’t realize they were different people until episode 3

Honestly, there have been moments of unkindness or outbursts in previous seasons, and the circumstances the show manufactures is bound to cause hurt feelings. That's one thing. But Irina and Micah go out of their way to be catty and unkind in ways that are wholly unproductive and uncalled for.
Yea it was unenjoyable to watch
The way they laughed at girls crying and manipulated guys into dumping the other girls they were seeing.... It's almost unbelievable villain behavior to a point i wonder if they do it on purpose to be talked about on TV
Definitely felt like Micah and Irina went on the show to live out their high school mean girl fantasies.
If we promote more of humanism where we treat people well regardless of whatever, the world will become more of a better place to live.

from what i’ve seen, i think a lot of the women on the show, especially irena, are saying that zach is “weird” and “creepy” when he just seems to be socially awkward. irena went on a whole tirade about how he doesn’t blink when he talks and was telling him that it freaked her out to his face. idk if something happened off-camera, but as an autistic person and based on what we’re shown, the hate towards zach comes off as slightly ableist and just off-putting because i’m genuinely not seeing anything egregious from him
I thought Zach was pretty funny.

When I was watching with my GF I literally said "I know I neurospicy when I see one" 😂
Zack got manipulated, full stop. Instead of Irina owning up to forgetting his birthday, she chose to put in his head that she was a victim. While Bliss went full wifey mode and was super thoughtful, Irina chose that if can’t look better, then make Bliss look bad. Such a shame.

Yep, for sure!!! 💯💯💯💯
I completely agree but paul did the same thing! he literally said his flight or flight kicked in when Kwame was vocal about liking Micah and the conversation right after was when they decided to cut things off with other people

I love when Kendall talks about a guy being fine Af and she suddenly looks delirious afterwards 😂

Lost in sauce... But aren't we all?
Bliss was loving and consistent. Irina was sporadic and aloof. Zack thought Irina was a baddie and that Bliss was an insecure nerd, and assumed jealousy was the source of her dislike of Irina, even though Bliss is more conventionally attractive imo. He thought he'd get a hot girl fantasy from Irina. His situation is a microcosm of how men fumble by prioritizing the wrong things.
Well said 👌🏽
There's literally zero evidence to point that Zack is as superficial as you frame him.
@@CaBobProductions Completely agree!
Also I think her saying her family might not approve of him was a trigger, because his past gf's family didn't approve of him and that obviously bothered him.
the problem is that he is a lawyer lol the last thing you want is an impulsive lawyer to represent you!

But anyways I'm glad they broke things off pretty quickly. Bliss is such an amazing woman
Why u say irina prob reminds him of his mother?😂

She just liked knowing she could take him from Chelsea but once she had confirmation from Paul that he would pick her she didn't need to hold on to Kwame anymore.
@@romanticblossom yes absolutely mad.
@@ashleybow correct. Irina did the same thing to Zack by bad mouthing Bliss with him. Zack didn't like that. Then Bliss came in and told him what she felt abt Irina WHICH WAS VALID. I was definitely looking at you different if u chose her over me, knowing what I know about her. And now u want to see me? Nahhhhhhhhh
Irina just wanted to win over Bliss. That's all
Several of the* women have said they don't like Zach but all the men love him and they've actually spent time with him lol I think the women were put off by him because of how he acted in the pods at first and then him picking Irina over Bliss gave them a bad taste too
I never thought about that. All the women know Irina and Bliss, for Zach to choose irina over bliss probably made them think that he’s just as messy as her so they probably take his non-malicious awkwardness a lot more hostile than it is

When Neyo said “You’re something that I’d never choose but at the same time something I don’t want to lose” Kwame felt that
"He's just like me fr" 😂
The issue I have with both Kwame and Marshall is they feel like they know they're on camera and they want a MOMENT. Like they want to be seen as philosophical and suave and emotionally intelligent. But it comes off fake and awkward.
The way that Kwame talks about Paul being a "villian" but doing the same to Chelsea makes me angry in the same way that Marshall walks down the hallway to confront Josh like he's walking into a boxing ring...
Kwame especially 🙁🙄
I get what you’re saying I see it a lot with kwame. Marshall I think it’s less intentional, he comes off like someone who has a hard time being taken seriously so he’s a bit dramatic with his confrontations but that’s just me
@Ari Cons I feel like maybe they have seen one too many romance movies lol. Just the way they talk. Gianina (not sure how to spell her name) as the same. It felt so unnatural.
Marshall is so cringe
Its very interesting that the 2 “nerdy” guys chose the two mean girls over their other connections… what does that say about them?

He was so drunk i was cringing for him.
worst part is that it somehow worked😭

Have you watched the Japanese version? It’s like a breath of fresh air compared to the American version. It’s basically not messy and everyone seems to have an actual interest in taking the whole thing seriously and finding love.
And the wisteria tree bridge where they meet for the first time is so romantic!! My jaw dropped when I saw it 😭
Drama is good TV in producer's minds unfortunately.
But we like trash 🗑
Sounds hella boring
i loved the japanese version, i hope they make a second season
Idk, I feel like the group kind of bullied Zach for just being a bit socially awkward. It seems like it made him really self conscious :/
Same. I liked Zach! I thought he was funny and I like goofy funny guys. Guys that try to be smooth/suave are an immediate turn off for me.
I think Irina started the rumor of him being creepy among the women and his sense of humor didn't help... she is a high school mentality in a body of an ugly woman!
Probably because he talks over other people and projects his own insecurities onto them. I still don’t like his ass lol
40:18 “Why don’t you then.” HAS ME SCREAMING OH MY GOD
I want a love is blind over 40 edition
Me too
After this season I lost hope for "older" folks to be more adult or less messy TBH.
It WOULD be cool though, don't get me wrong, but just if Netflix fixes its process in choosing people
Ooh yes
Boring
I am so upset with Jackie and I wish she could work on herself. The self sabotage is insane on another level. Just needs to be in therapy I think
Yess she needs therapy nobody is really mentioning it but Jackie is also very fake
@@VV-yj5qc exactly, the way she threw Chelsea under the bus and fed on the drama threw me off! like girl bye, two faced mean girls are the worst
@@altheab4375 LITERALLY! She wants the toxic mess probably because she doesn’t think she deserves real love and Marshall is literally the sweetest guy and is willing to do that. But if she ain’t willing to actually work on herself then there’s no hope
@@shoyahtia1316 sad that ride or die mentality is devastating. No role models for a good man.
Those tacky gold wine glasses were also EVERYWHERE. I think someone ordered too many and they were like "Lets have them in EVERY scene!"

@@JaZmine147 If it was already mentioned what's the point of being condescending? OP truly didn't know not everyone watches reality TV like that, why be mean :/
It’s sad

That bit about Micah being an “empath” immediately lit my red flags up because the first person that comes to my mind as calling themselves an empath is Shane Dawson and there’s no good there lmao 😂💀
Edit: and those moments of the girls in the house together being all catty and crappy behind each others backs kill me too. If Netflix had the cojones, they'd just upload the entirety of the pod footage for every contestant. Just give us everything!
i would not of my own free will ever watch a reality dating show, but watching you explain the events of a reality dating show for an hour? now THAT i will do happily
My highlights of the teleparty(reuploaded)
-Everyone trying to find everyone signs(Bliss, Libra gang)
-Ppl calling Micah and Irina, Regina and Gretchen
-Zach being called a budgeted John Mulaney
-everyone calling out Kwame for having SK energy
-some people, including myself, saying that Paul is like the senior that preys on freshman
lmfaoooooo the paul comment

Yes! I went crazy when I saw our girl in the promo ❤
Wait what? 👀 can anyone gimme the link of that?
I’ll say it again: they should have paid her. Or something cuz what the hell, they didn’t even ask 💀
Totally agree!! That's also how I understood it! When she said her dad would never find anyone good enough for her, I think he freaked out
Her dad is toxic af
Strong take : men sobbing uncontrollably when they hurt you makes it difficult to feel bad for them
Whoever hurts you doesn't deserve your empathy.
Exactly. You don't get to hurt me AND be the victim
The only reason Micah went for Paul was a diss to Amber because of the flowers. Deep down she wanted Kwame
She liked the challenge to fill her ego. She knew she had Kwame but saw Paul preferring the other girl and wanted the power over both of them.
True, but she was being honest. I would question his judgement too. He couldn't have been more wrong, lol.
Kwame's song made my skin itch! But then when Zack did his song I was like, "maybe Kwame's song wasn't so bad... 🤔"
Girl I cannot WAIT to see how you react to episodes 6-8, the mess gets messier
Tiffany and Brett are so cute! I hope their relationship is as sweet in reality.
Bless you Kennie for this commentary, this not only saves me five hours of agony but adds infinitely more joy and entertainment ❤❤❤❤

no they literally did
They did
dude fr i was like gimme a break goddamn
They filmed at lot of these back to back, so this was sitting in the too-be-released bin probably while we were watching the previous Season.
