The glowing sea was a MAJOR disappointment. In short a buried church, festering bloatflies, radscorpions, a maniac with a heavy weapon and more radscorpions.
If you think about a realistic explanation of the Glowing Sea. It's not exist because the nuke fall there. Hiroshima and Nagasaki not remained radiated so long. But think about Chernobyl. The Glowing Sea is glowing not because the nuclear site, but because the reactor melt downs of that nuclear plant at 1:50
Honestly my headcanon is that they also used dirty bombs. When people think about nukes and what how they radiate a place, they're actually accidentally explaining a dirty bomb. Nukes explode up in the sky and they dont really use that much nuclear material. Although, testing sites, like that one island, where we tested nothing but nuclear bombs, is completely uninhabitable. Maybe the glowing sea isn't quite possible even with a world ending amount of nukes, but there were so many launched during the war that it makes sense that they were capable of making an entire area uninhabitable. The reason why japan is fine is because we didn't nuke them 100 times over.
@ "Although, testing sites, like that one island, where we tested nothing but nuclear bombs, is completely uninhabitable." Maybe would could drop tons of coffee beans there and collect them from the birds after they expel them and make the world's most expensive coffee.
@@cosmicraysshotsintothelight Testing sites has not a single, but multiple nuclear explosion, and the radioactive dust of those explosions are remained there, without any cleaning procedure. That's why no-one realy want to live there. But go to Hiroshima or Nagasaki, which both got a hit with a nuclear site, and both is 100% safe cities with normal radiation levels... In fact, if you go to that island it's (just like Chernobyl area) totally safe and has normal radiation levels unless you try to eat the dust there. Which is unhealthy even without nuclear particles.

Theres the biggest surprise i had, the 2 giant radroach queens. Only time i died in this last run was from them. I didnt even know they were there. 1 of them hops onto you, and does immense damage. After returning to kill them with heavy guns, i noticed they basically jump away from missiles. Basically did the same with my experimental mirv. I ended up killing them with over 90 molotofs, and sacrificing myself to get them to get close enough. The toughest enemy in the game is a roach lol. Also, i couldn't get the behemoth to fight the deathclaws. Behemoth stayed away from the buildings. I even had the deathclaw following me and he wouldnt go near the behemoth. Im on ps5, ps5 version.
Also, the game mentions the chameleon deathclaw that can hide himself, but theres only 1. I found him just north of that location where the behemoth is.
Children of Atom. I killed all of them and the ones up in the commonwealth encampment too, except they respawn. I guess it was a mistake, but I have not looked into it. My first playthrough is riddled with mistakes, and I still have yet to finish it at level 269. So I have lots of gamma guns to upgrade and give to my settler guards.
@@upmarketcrayon I give them silenced advanced 10mm. Some get a quantum Zapper as I have many of those too. Many get an updated and silenced .45-70. I used to give them a .44. My main is the overseer's double pinger upgraded to .308 and silenced. It gets single shot kills on deathclaws and two shot kills on ancient behemoths. I use a silenced 10mm bleeder too. And of course spray and pray. But my all time favorite, which I currently have over 8k rounds for, is my insta-kill freeze gun. I call it "Mr. Freeze". Nothing survives. I have even gotten good at longer shots with it. But I have a Gauss gun and a Plasma gun that also get single shot kills, but expose my position and have recoil and reload times to consider. The .308 double pinger keeps me far away from most trouble. I do get at least one kill up on the derigible every time I visit the airport and kill everything. I use my Gamma gun with the artifact in it for that. I need to do a higher difficulty playthrough. This is cakewalk.
Those aren’t coolant tanks. They are containment domes. Look up a PWR nuclear reactor, the domes are where the reactor, pressurizer and steam generator are housed. Sorry, I work in a nuclear plant and just sniping.
I'll hit up this rad zone once I get R3 Ghoulish. 1st Edit > I didn't even make Rank 2. I came here for the Tesla Cannon because the Mechanist was giving me a hard time, even on Very Easy. this may be a silly question im not sure but on the map what is the point of the square if you can go outside of it and there are landmarks outside of it? x
@@ThomasXplores only thing I can think of is that before going to the glowing sea you never realize you can go past that border in some places, and I remember it being really cool and a nice surprise when I realized there was locations past it.
