    If my OEM motor didn’t have the green ground wire, but the new universal motor does do I have to use the green ground wire?

    1st time trying to replace a HVAC blower motor. Having a hard time matching a new motor with my old motor specs. I have an Emerson circa 1996 model K55HXCEP-6404. It's 115V, 1/3HP, 1050rpm, band type, 6.5amp, frame 48Y, 4-speed (2 are plugged into 'unused'). Can you please direct me to where I might find a replacement?

    I agree with Charles. Is there a way your camera can flip the video (right to left) such that images with text come out correctly (not mirror images)?

    My AC condenser was giving a burning smell after we reconnected the wires. I believe we connected the wires wrong. We replaced the fan motor but thermostat is not turning on. Should we replace the capacitor? Maybe the capacitor burned out and not the fan motor?

    Are all condenser fan motor rotation reversible by switching to common and fan wires. If not how can I tell if mine is not?

    • @TaddyDigest
      @TaddyDigest  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Most universal motors do have a reversible switch and you can tell because there is a plug

    • @markricker1190
      @markricker1190 ปีที่แล้ว

      This does not have switchable wires attached to the motor to swap. We bought a new CCW fan blade and I assume that the motor is also counterclockwise and so the fan is blowing down rather than up. So I don’t have to buy a clockwise fan blade
      Is there any reason why I shouldn’t just swap the two wires on the capacitor’s fan and common terminal.This is a four wire motor with the 1075 blue wire capped off.

    I'm confused
    On a compressor and condenser motor you have Run, start, common.
    On a blower motor, you have speeds which i thought were the common but it's almost like they call the wire that goes to your run winding the common.
    Why don't they call the speed the common since both run and start windings meet at where your speeds are? And why don't they call the run winding what it is, the run windings?

      For those who do not know... You can at the bottom of the video 'settings', which is a round gear, you can slow the speed of the video / audio. This along with replaying, the video helps us understand the information better.
