I've used bear grease for years. I always coat the seams extra heavy. The instructions say to use 2 coats. I use 3. I've never had my feet get wet. Even in cheap boots. I agree with you. The best waterproofer / conditioner and really extends the boots life.
This is the best stuff on the market. I don’t care how my boots look, I’m not a fashion model. I’m a cowboy. So on the redwings I wear when running equipment, I usually put 3 coats on them of this. Same on the Justin boots I use for riding. Then over time I still use saddle soap to clean & then I’ll put a coat of bear grease.
