  • It all started when my grandma suddenly told us that her late husband was part "Russian."
My grandma explained to us that her late husband (my grandpa)'s mom (my great grandma) one time told my grandma that she was part Russian, hence she was taller and more pale.
As far as we know we have no non Japanese members in my family tree.
However, I am often told that I look somehow foreign, often asked if I was from central Asia.
I visited Uzbekistan a few years ago, and I was mistaken as a local many times (LOL.)
My great grandma's family is from Yokohama, one of the first ports to be opened to international ships. So I was guessing some kind of interaction of my great grandma's family with foreign visitors in late 19th century could be possible.
Although this sudden announcement from my grandma felt like a joke (or we kind of assumed she was so old that her dementia started), I thought it would be fun to try and check.
    Here's what I got...
I need your help with interpretation of the result.
My real name of course is not "K Ko."
