    I have 80 acres of forest, it had been logged 30 years ago and not replanted properly. the bureaucracy kept me off my land for 15 years by the time I got a building permit it had overgrown for 15 years. I replanted 14 acres myself that used to be hay field and have been tending to that area keeping things limbed and mowed. The rest of the forest is now about 30 years old and out of control. I have been thinking of investing in a asv 120 but have watched enough of your vidios to be aware I likely need a 42 to assist downing trees to mulch the roots. What equipement do you think I should buy or should I just pay someone to do the work 10 or 15 acres at a time and replant, get it under control for a few years and do another 10 or 15 acres.

    Looks real good, nice job on the back dragging and cleanup. How do you like the E45? I am thinking of getting a Kubota KX040-4 which is pretty close in spec to the E42. Looking to take down a little larger tree's say around 18-22 in diameter.

    • @UpstateBrushControl
      @UpstateBrushControl  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks, we try to go extra mile for our customers. Yes, love my e45. I bought it new. Its got 1700hrs and no major issue with it. You shouldn't have any problems digging out that size of trees just got to dig a little more around the stump.

    great work but I have noticed you have a bad bad habit of your cutter running while no one is in the ASV , please, please, after one incident you can not back up, and change what happened. The reason I know this Retired Paramedic and medical examiner for State of N.C. . Remember the grave yard is full of people who were not planning to be there. Andrew

    Hopefully I am going to give your guys some advice buy some chainsaw pants to work in I know its not fun but about 2 years ago I almost lost a buddy of mine when a saw kicked back and almost cut off his leg. It hit his main artery and we made it to the hospital within minutes and saved his life, but it was very close. Just my 2 cents guys I don't want to see anyone get hurt. Take care

      Man wish I could say the same. Mine is ridiculous. I’m currently sitting in the cab of one waiting on tools. 1 year old and less than 500 hrs. More issues than you can shake a stick at.

    • @UpstateBrushControl
      @UpstateBrushControl  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@crazytimbermonkey What kind of issues are you having? Sorry to hear that.

    • @crazytimbermonkey
      @crazytimbermonkey 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Upstate Brush Control - Electrical and mechanical. Starting at only a few hours the park brake would randomly activate. Next issue was the drive stick would go dead or be extremely delayed. Wouldn’t move, then suddenly lunge and lock down. Door hinges and quick attach are both constant problems as well. Dealer/service issues also.
      I had it to the dealer several times for the electrical. First time they tried to tell me it was because of dust. “Well you know sir, dust conducts electricity, you need to blow out the fuse box more regularly. Everything is dirty!” Oh yeah, ok. I’ve bought over $1,000,000 of equipment in the last couple years and own a logging company. There’s a chance I might possibly know a few things about equipment but whatever. 🙄 charged me $600 and changed nothing other than the air filter and some minor cleaning. Finally a few days after the 1 year warranty ran out and with about 400 hours on it the machine got to where it was completely inoperable. They sent a tech out to the job and after hours of searching we found a single wire not correctly locked into a plug. It’s been glitchy from new and that fixed it, so I’m saying manufacturing error. Oh but here’s another $600 bill sir! It’s currently sitting in the middle of a job (not quite 500 hrs) with a fully functioning engine and boom but no tracking whatsoever. And I’ve gotta wait around for a tech to come available.
      Quick attach issues- if everything’s not absolutely perfect it won’t disconnect. The shoulder bolts connecting the quick attach to the pin are too long and have basically no clearance, one side was catching on the end of the tilt cylinder. Dealer said yeah that’s a known problem, just grind it down.
      Door hinges- I had an operator accidentally grab the emergency door release handle and drop it off it’s hinge. A week later the opposing hinge broke. Replaced it. A day later the other hinge breaks. Replace it. They cycle repeats. Somewhere around $600-$700 a set gets old fast. Basically I think when one hinge fails it obviously over-stresses the opposite hinge, so if you ever have a hinge problem either replace both or just cut a piece of steel round stock for a replacement pin. So far that worked better anyway.
      Basically I think if you’re an owner operator and you take it really easy and baby it, you won’t find a more powerful CTL. But if you “use” it- good luck. Soon as places open today I’m looking to trade it off. I’ve had quite enough.

    • @rockway63
      @rockway63 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@UpstateBrushControl yes turns out it's a potential bad connection in the wiring harness that comes off the top of the DEF tank. There's a connector that's caused others the same problem. It won't hurt anything to run tomorrow. Seems like a legitimate reason to install the delete kit and do away with that DEF anyway huh?? =)
