During his time with Overwatch, Genji also devoted himself to completely dismantling the clan he was once a part of, and pretty much succeeded, making them a shell of what they once were. However, Genji had never been able to fully come to grips with his new existence, and eventually left Overwatch. During his travels, he came in contact with Zenyatta, the traveling robot/monk, who helped him find true peace, as well as the will to forgive his brother for what he had done to him. Genji is now wise beyond his years, having spent much time with Zenyatta, and adopting many of his principles. What we see in this video, is the continuation of their story.
It's a shame I learned more about these characters through a TH-cam comment than I will through playing the actual game. Overwatch really needs a story mode. I hope they add one.
Everything was so perfect. The scenery, the animation, editing, story and so cool they used an actual map from the game you can play on. Every time I go on that balcony I'll think of that epic scene.

Not possible. A series, any series, has many episodes and the episodes need to be make in a limit amount of time. It takes more of less 3 months to animate a few minutes of a movie or episode with good quality. Now imagine an animated series. They would have to severely reduce the quality of the graphics and textures to release the episodes on time. So in the end it wouldn't look good, not nearly as good as these videos.
See Kung Fu Panda for instance. There is an animated series but if you compare the quality of the graphics and texture on the movie and the series, you will notice the series has a much lower quality.

Big difference between robits and peeplz. It's a pegi rating thing it would seem. It's my guess that to keep their rating they have to not kill people. Notice that no human dies, ever, and also that the heroes have an incredibly hard time getting struck by a single bullet despite a hail of gunfire (see widowmaker / tracer)

I can honestly say that I'm not sure whether I care about playing the game or not (I've never been much of a fan of online team games), but I'd LOVE to see this turned in to a TV series or movies!!!
I'm pretty sure with all these new animations and movie coming out Blizzard is trying to start up their animation department and get a foot in the door. Would make sense in terms of their expertise since they have such a strong animation and story/lore division.

Fuck making a movie, make an Animated series!!! (In placement for the campaign which I hear doesn't exist)
Not possible. A series, any series, has many episodes and the episodes need to be make in a limit amount of time.
It takes more of less 3 months to animate a few minutes of a movie or episode with good quality.
Now imagine an animated series. They would have to severely reduce the quality of the graphics and textures to release the episodes on time. So in the end it wouldn't look good, not nearly as good as these videos.
See Kung Fu Panda for instance. There is an animated series but if you compare the quality of the graphics and texture on the movie and the series, you will notice the series has a much lower quality.
