From the dev, it seems that Charles does try to stick to there area where you are, so there's always a chance Charles finds you, but I guess you got really lucky, or the dev needs to make Charles a little more aggressive if you haven't seen him for too long.

Honestly if Charles did jumpscare more often, you’re probably just going to get annoyed or bored with the jumpscares over time. For me, knowing that he’s out there gives me dread and anxiety. And I think that’s what makes encountering Charles more scarier.

Things that need to be improved imo : - Rework the mine system. It's just too short with just 1 guy guarding. - Adding some type of combat when diving into the mine. Make it more like a stealth game. - Since you're going around the island doing some quest, make Charles patrolling around the island so that you're not mindlessly riding the train without feeling the threat. - Quest overhaul. It doesn't need to be fancy but make it less repetitive and change the location of the objectives to not be around the quest npc.
When I first saw the trailer for this game I was hyped. I too thought Charles would be everywhere, making the game a lot scarier, and definitely. So I agree with Jay there. The game still does look fun tho.

The game was good, it needs or needed to be longer, more Charles, the characters’ mouths need to be moving, the game needs to be more harder and not so accessible and maybe going back to the other characters scene?
