Sea (when he was with TeamLiquid) used Mech against Naniwas protoss quite successfully by doing smoke and mirrors (tricked Naniwa into thinking it was bio coming). One of the highlights of early SC2 in my opinion. Cheers Marc 🍺

Noted: Terrans can just build Marauders to counter mass Cyclone. Tanks are good, too, since they can’t all get interference matrix’d, as are landed Vikings in a pinch. Landed Vikings really are an amazing clutch unit against Cyclones now considering the Viking is armored, relatively beefy, and has bonus damage vs. mech. Too slow to really fight the Cyclones, but enough to keep them from engaging in a straight-up fight.

Funny. I have been gambling of late because people are trying to go into strange combos, I attribute that to you, Marc, and if they don't scout, I go straight into mass BC's from a three CC opener. That affords +1 and two BC's as they are getting started on a first attack, blinking onto their mining and getting two more back home as they come in, mind you this won't work for a smaller maps, but I have not been disappointed so far. By my second attack I am jumping four BC's into their base, on top of having defended my main as two more Starports go into production. They simply do not have the minerals after that to keep defending against these tactics.
I think I watched this with some girl called grub something. It just showed up in my feed and it was uThermal vs clem on the new patch under uthermal marcj account and you could tell uThermal had way more experience with ravens.
My thoughts. Siege a tank near your mineral line to clean up any stealthy auto turret drops. If your opponent does this drop a turret on their scvs to get the friendly fire. I think auto turret are probably best used at the moment for harassment on the mineral line or blitzing down an objective before reinforcement arrives.
Ravens are much better now, they're cheaper and quicker so you can amass more for 2 squads of say 10-20. Then they CAN still "mass turret" but they are better used as "mass interference" on the big targets. Then send in a small army of Stim-Marines to mop up the priority targets (all unable to fire back, hopefully). And finally to use any turrets (if available) as back-up or to add to the DPS.
Mass cyclone in TvT seems like it would need something to backstop the Cyclones so that they don’t just get run over by Marauders or tanks. Problem is that you can’t really afford to build anything that would do that without compromising the Cyclone ball.
I'd love to see how the auto turret fares against some specific units before and after because of the 33% health drop and armor drop. It seems like 1 AT wouldn't even be able to kill a single marine and marauder. But even a few unupgraded marines seems like they can take down a single turret if they choose to do so. With stim and combat shields, it seems like they just get completely deleted.
So they reduce the cost of the raven by ~20% but reduce its combat effectiveness by ~50-60% and this is supposed to be better than what we had? This patch hurts my soul.

Raven Cyclone makes me so happy as a possible return to the Mech style. Remember even if more skilled players can beat it at first, mastery can make a difference.
Even against bio TvT, Ravens cheaper, faster building Ravens might be useful to lock down Medivacs and keep them from healing, loading, unloading, or boosting. That is pretty big part of a bio composition that is made completely useless.
as long as the damage hasnt been nerfed, you can probably still consider ravens as strong as they were. because they evacuate the probes anyway, so duration doesnt matter as much, and in your swarm raven builds they dont usually fight them anyway right. They just run away
I recently saw a video of our beloved Captain Harstem against a (Russian?) pro trying to play mech against him on the new patch. Well, let's just say it turned out the other way around. And Harstem said he usually can't beat him. So I still don't think that mech is viable against Protoss. But who knows? Maybe someone will figure out how to play it.
I think if you mix in a mine to prevent the marines/marauders chasing, a tank or two to fall back to, or hellions to soak and inflict light damage...? Could be. You'd have fewer units overall being main downside.

Hey! Great as always! Only wanted to mention you're lacking pop filter in front of microphone and/or Nvidia broadcast filter (disables ambient noise as well). WIth decent 2.1 set connected to amplituner it feels like a thunderstrike.
I think you are on to something with the ravens. Each raven generates energy at the same speed as before but you can make 30 percent more so they are better in large numbers.
Autoturret losing both stats and Ravens only casting 2 seems a bit too much. It seems whoever planned the changes considered more the offensive capabilities and not the defensive.
So corvid reactor is removed, so there’s no way for the Raven to spawn with an interference matrix, that seems shitty for late game when you’re playing Raven against BC
that second game, first your reaper politely doesn't kill any probes. Then you gift him a raven as if it doesn't matter. He kills the hellions pretty fast, plenty of stuff there but his probes die anyway. He must be building observers non stop? There isn't a corner on the map where they are safe? His push is killed by 1 tank while the scv's casually move away. His collosus get disabled wtf? Then you mock his disruptors first by getting much to close but he doesn't get a shot off then he shoots the disco ball into your clumped up cyclone ball and hits.... nothing. He attacks the cyclones with the zealots but didn't get the memo. You never really attack him and just let him macro LOL But at least he killed your stimpack.... or wait...

I just started playing for the first time from watching your videos. Sc2 is not a...forgiving game for noobs. I'll say that much lol
