Oli beating Maru was like when Jordan lost to Shaq, first year back from "retirement", in the nba Playoffs..... never happened again 😂😂😂😂😂
Maru convincingly won game 2 on Ancient Cistern as well. I wish you showed the whole 2-0 series. Every minute he plays, he displays unrivalled efficiency and game sense
doesn't play into the narrative that Oliveira is on the same calibur as Maru. Maru is 8-1 map score over Oliveira since Katowice, and this game is pretty indicative of the skill gap. Oliveira still couldn't win in a completely winning position.
Great game! Frankly Maru got lucky this game, very lucky. Oliveira just needed a little bit patience. He's ahead most of the game but kept throwing army away for no good reason.

If you can't close out a game like this, then you only have yourself to blame. You're basically saying "Oooooh you're lucky he isn't a better player!"
Things like this happen all the time, even to Maru sometimes.

Oli earned Katowice in his dream run, doesn’t seem fair to make it out like Maru’s trophy was stolen when the trophy was earned. Love the videos Pig!
Here's the thing though. Oli absolutely earned it, but we have to face the facts here. Oliveira's best play his highest level, is Maru playing mediocre. And we've seen it, maru came back with a vengeance but he can't get it out of his head how bad of a play he did in katowice was. Just like when ragnarok I believe beat serral out of a tournament a while back, serral who should have won the series being the better player, came back with a vengeance and refused to lose after that tournament
I think what makes this so u ique is everyone was basically ready to hand maru the trophy before the series even began. He basically already had it but mistake after mistake. He fumbled the trophy out of his hands into oliveiras. Oli didn't steal the trophy, maru just dropped it and thats what eats at him
Do Oliveira fangirls seriously think Oliveira is a better player than Maru..? He literally never was, not even when he beat Maru at Katowice. Just as the above commenter says, just because Ragnarok beat Serral there, that doesn’t suddenly make him a better player. WAKE UP
@@jkkim6928 Agreed. Can we just agree that his miracle run was just that: a miracle? The stars aligned for him, other players fumbled and he did not. Sometimes you don't have to be consistently the best to become world champion, you just need to peak at the right time when other players are slumping.

I don't understand. Olivera is the very best in the Early and mid game, also in tvz. But he hasn't the killer instinct and throws always the game. Can't figure out how end the game, despite the unrivaled pressure and harassment he makes.
I'd say Oliveira is on par with the top terrans, ie Cure, Gumiho, Clem, Maru, in Early and mid game (still impressive), but Byun is probably the very best
yea definitly mistakes were made to trow such a lead but Oli is not so experienced like a veteran of Maru Oli is the new kid in the neighbourhood like Clem Maxpax they are very good sometimes the mess it up becouse they still have to learn

Maru is the best tvt record wise, and Serral almost never lose vs Protoss. It’s a miracle that Olivera won Katowice but he plays better recently in the last two years.

Among nonKorean greatest players in the last few years are Serral, Reynor, Clem, Neeb, and Maxpax. Oliveira is up there with Scarlett, Showtime, and Heromarine

first of all understand what a nickname is wich all the sc players must have ti create account to play the game it doesnt meen it has to be a name of your country and second one maybe he is fan of the soccer player with that name or the MMA fighter so he uses his name completely ok and fine with me the only thing wrong here is your thinking and understanding
There was a cast closer to the world championship that one of the casters said they asked him. He's a big fan of the MMA fighter so when he changed his name from Time, he picked that.

Maru has lost his edge, it has been a while. He is not as sharp as he was in GSL neither. He is too cocky.
not quite, oliveira tvt matchup is good , somemore tvt standard around the world has been increased recently , unlike few years back, only korean good at tvt matchup, there is no good terran from europe or NA , but since many korean player joined foreign club sponsor, so it has been like skill exchange
Yeah I think you really have to give credits to Oliveria. He has done really well and outscaled Maru in many aspects
