- What does a seashell collection look like? I would be curious too, so I went through all my shells and I'll show you what I keep in my seashell collection, how I store my seashells and we'll go through one of my containers because there were so many treasures I had not seen in a while!

The only thing I saw more beautiful than your shell collection is the joy in your voice as you handle each pretty shell! Much love to you, Beach Angel! Happy shelling!
Thank you Mermaid! 🥰🥰🥰
scallop are my most fave sea shells ever. I love it when i collect seashells and watch youtubers collect them as well its so much fun
Oh My Goodness...THAT was so much fun to watch! I could literally sort through shells organizing them into different types, species, sizes, and then by colors and color patterns and then resort them all over again into different shapes, patterns, styles, darks to lights, etc. forever! I LOVED this Video! Thank You.
I neglected to show you the shells I have put aside to sell. All organized by species in separate containers. Next year!
Yes Shar, you know why you know why you do what you do. YOU LOVE IT. For the last 68yr I’ve been telling folks do what you love. Young and old and In btween. Don’t get up in the morning dreading the day, get excited and your life will be so much easier and better and fun. Do it.
Exactly! 🥰
Love love love your post and collection thank you from my heart I am all alone 76 years young and totally disabled that is why you give me a happy heart . Just enjoy you.❤❤❤❤
YOU just gave me a happy heart!! Thank you for taking the time to be so nice to me! ❤️❤️
My sea shell collection was started by my grandparents long before I was born. It's 50--60 years old and I love adding to it
That is incredible!
What was your site where you sell?.❤❤❤❤
Wow! I love your collection. The white shells really caught my eye. I like the way you display your sand dollars, I have 12 in perfect condition from Marco Island. I was walking in water about calf high making my way back to the condo and they were coming in on the waves. I picked them right out of the water. It was the only time I didn’t have a bag with me. I could only carry 12 - 6 in each hand. It was quite the balancing act. I love to see the different jars, etc. that people keep their shells in. You have an abundance and they are displayed beautifully. Thank you so much for sharing. Oh, my largest is from Captiva. I’ve never found a shell on Fort Meyers Beach. All my shelling was done about 30 years ago. Been going to the mountains out west instead of the beach. My husband likes mountains. I’m a beach lover at heart. 💙 🐚
I enjoy seeing other people's shell collections too. I just love the combination of glass, shells and wood.
You mentioned Sale. I would be interested.❤❤❤❤
I have been a little preoccupied with the hurricane and some other things going on, so I don't have much for sale right now - sorry! swfbeachlifestore.etsy.com
Oh Sharmon! Your collection is beautiful!! Makes me crave the beach and coming back to SWF. I can't wait to be back. I only get down once a year so I have to admit I cannot contain myself as well as you do. I know you frequent the beaches weekly and can be picky but Lord help me I can't say no. My daughter is the same way so you can imagine. We have to take the 12 hr drive one way instead of flying because we know the amount of shells we will bring home. Highlight of my year!!! Thanks so much for sharing! Made my week!
I LOVE THIS! Driving instead of flying because the amount of treasures you find. That is so great. Life is short - LIVE IT LARGE!!! ❤️ ❤️
Oh Sharmon, your shell collection is beyond gorgeous! 😍 Thank You sooo very much for sharing your beauties with us - they are astounding. ❤
I absolutely love it when you pop in on Wednesday! Makes Sunday seem not so far away. Thanks for sharing your home collection with us. ❤
Thank you for watching!!!
What a surprise to find you posted a bonus video today!!! Thank so very much for sharing your treasures!!!
You are so welcome! Thank you for watching!!
I have a seashell “garden” where I put mine. I meticulously turn them so they face up so it looks nice and shows off how pretty they all are. I also discovered that buying stuffed scallops from this one brand gives me the perfect pink-orange almost sunset color scallop shells. I also get the big cockle shells here and lots and lots of bittersweet’s here in northern palm Beach county. But your collection is so amazing and impressive!! ❤️
I actually have a bit of "minimalist" in me, so I don't want my collection to get any bigger. I just keep switching out the shells for better ones 😃 I'd be in real trouble if I didn't sell a bunch of the ones I find!
Dear Sharmin, I love seashells so so so so so so so much like you. I also all the sandy beaches of the world! ♥️♥️♥️🏖️🏖️🏖️
I love the glass containers! Any time you need a refreshed look, just dump & repack for a new pattern of beautiful shells. In our next house (hopefully in FL), I want to incorporate shells into surfaces -- stucco walls, concrete garden pieces (fire pit, bench, bird bath), maybe even a mosaic wall inside (how about the back side of a kitchen island?).
Halfway through the video, I started humming... Look at my shells, aren't they so neat? Wouldn't you think my collection's complete? Wouldn't you think, I'm the girl, the girl who has everything! I've got nutmegs and turbans a-plenty, I've got scallops and cockles galore. You want big moon snails? I've got 20! But who cares... no big deal... I want MORE! (more fighting conchs, anyway)
...Look at this olive, Treasures unfold, How many shells can one shell bag hold? Looking around here you think, sure she's got everything! 😂😂😂🐚🐚🐚 I'm also a Disney fan and have seen Little Mermaid about a billion times ❤️❤️❤️ You rock!!!
I adore looking at all your shells!, I recently went through all of mine, and since your showing yours...
- I only have 3 bowls which house my spider conchs, horse conchs, angel wings, my smallest is 5", (3) 8" bear paws, monsters, White and brown corals and I have one large fancy murex, not lace and the rest are lightening whelks and jade and pearl turbins.
- then, 4 jars which are all my spindles, gulf and east coast moon snails, cones, and fighting conchs,
-4 specials on pedestals mounted, ( a pearl nautilus, a striped nautilus, 9" fox conch, and a large white 5.5" spiny jewelbox.)
-an 8" blue coral and 2 towers full of mixed tulips, crowned conchs, olives and one with just all different kinds of scallops and calico clams.
I need more sand dollars cause my large one broke, only have 2 now, I do have a giant sea biscuit its like 6 or 7"? I want some cup coral, more starfish only have a small one, on the hunt for some more brown and white striped Rams horn land snails, I forgot I have about 20 that are over 2.5-3.75" inches, want a bowl of the white and brown, Impossible to find. Also impossible to find is an imperial venus clam, a large one,
-Oh and I have a giant sea clam with purple on it, 13" the kind they make sinks out of, but mine is smaller and is tucked on the bottom of my large etched glass bowl, a very large Queen conch 11" that I decoupaged a couple lobsters on, 2 pearlized Paua shells polished 5", an abalone not polished 7", 2 pearl supersized 11" hand painted clams from Bree,, a 7" channel whelk-Albino, OH and my fossilized 3" Maco sharks tooth!,
I also started a small vile sand collection, I have star sand from Philippines, shell sand from Sea of Galilea, plum sand from East coast plum island, and one aqua Japanese sea float.
ya, small compared to your collection but nice for not living near any ocean, they were all bought or collected at thrift shops, You created a monster in me Sharmon!!!❤
I want to touch your shells 🤣 They sound beautiful. I forgot I'd really like a giant clam too. They are just amazing. I haven't purchased much but it's probably best that way. Well, with the exception of some things from Bree. She is SO talented!!
@@SWFBeachLife Yup saw her on your site a long time ago and I bought 2 from her, she NO WAIT! I have 4 from her, one is packed with seasonal and the other is a giant lightening Whelk planter with others glued together, its gorgeous!, Sure! c'mon over but your gonna have to pay for a shuttle, Im in Wisconsin🤣🤣🤣
🤣❤
I love your enthusiasm for shell collecting! That was fun watching you! Every time I pull out my shells I sort for hours. I tend to organize then by type or occasionally by location.
I get that fix when I sort my shells that I'm going to sell. I should have included those too but they weren't in my "collection" so I didn't show them. Next year!
Oh man so excited two videos this week. 😊😊
❤️❤️❤️
Wow this was wonderful to watch you go through your collection! I have a modest collection but am definitely inspired to build it. Thank you so much for showing us your magical glass containers!
Thank you so much for watching!
I love your collection! I have a bucket of shells in my basement that I have collected here and there over the years. I need to get a pretty glass vase for mine. Thanks for linking your video for me to enjoy!
Your friend is very talented and I immediately followed her shop on Etsy. LOVE your collection and display.
Aside from the stunning collection of sea treasures, Your glass containers are SO CLEAN and CRYSTAL CLEAN! The things we notice..🤣🤣 what a wonderful hobby, or in your case, a full time job! Thanks so much for sharing your collection with us..❤️🐚❤️🐚
Confession....I dumped and cleaned them all before I filmed them! Making these videos is a good excuse to clean up my jars and shells 🤣
I love all white
Jealous jealous jealous!!! Not just of the shells but also of the beautiful containers. Love clear glass. Might have to go and copy you now…….hugs, stay safe xx
Yep, me too! 🐚 ❤
I was so lucky my mom worked for Tiffany and Co. for a while!
All shellers enjoy playing with their found treasures. Aside from the shells being jewels of nature, I find this bring backs memories of where we found them and the joy we felt with collecting and walking each beautiful beach. Are you aware of the COA national convention this June in Melbourne, Fla. I'm told the programs are very interesting. HAPPY Shelling! Judy from Boca.
I am aware of COA and I had told myself last year I wanted to go this year. I'll have to see what the dates are. To be surrounded by so many people that are so smart about shells would be amazing!
Hi I’ve been watching u for a couple of years and love the peacefulness of ur walks. My husband travels for work and recently we spent 3 months in Florida. I was excited to collect some of my own shells. I made this nightlight so I could see my shells on display. I wish I could add the photo. I have my beautiful turkey wing I found as a focal point😊
It sounds lovely! I think its more precious since you found the shells 🥰
Every video you post brings me joy. Thanks for sharing with us. 💖
You are so kind!
I love your shell collection! Stunning and beautiful!❤️
Thank you so much!
I love how passionate you are about shells. I’ve loved shells forever and it always meant that we had been down by the beach. Even though we lived on a small island southwest of Montreal I loved going down by the water all the time to see what was left behind. It always amazes me what is on the beach.
When you found that chocolate and vanilla conch shell that was a swirl and you called it weird which I laughed at because for a shell it was weird, but it reminded me of a McDonald’s ice cream combo cone that’s chocolate and vanilla and I thought that was quite unique.
I have my own shell collection and ones that I have found at thrift stores and I use glass jars and even found a small perfume bottle and I mean small, it can’t be more than an inch tall and I put tiny tiny shells that I have found in my thrift store bag full of shells.
Thanks for sharing what you do with the shells you keep. It’s a beautiful collection!! Enjoy the rest of your week!!🥰🐬
Now I want a tiny perfume bottle 😂
YOU…are my kindred spirit🐚 Same, got all different shape and style vases, jars ( you reminded me that I should go through some, and clean up my glass) I commented on your Fort Myers Beach video that I finally was going to Florida to search shells. Well it was very successful!!!! Got a bucket full from FMB ….I was only there over night. Got a lot of great shells on the side you were at to the end. but OMG….SANIBEL was wonderful🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 Stay at Island Inn and I didn’t go to far for 3 days. Bucket full of Fighting Conchs…several tupperwares of all the others….100’s So Fun. Shells are my Thing for sure since I was a kid. (59 now🤫) I cleaned some per your video and they came out so nice. Thankyou, Thank you, Thank you!!!❤️🐚❤️
We’re shell sisters!! 😍
Hi Sharmon,
Your shell collection is stunning!❤😍
It is so much fun to see and hear you go through all of them and hear the same enthusiasm like you just found them on the beach.
I'm very curious why you keep some in special boxes, and I am really hoping that you will tell us some day about that little collection. 😉
I'm so blessed to enjoy a little SWF collection of my own, and I'm forever grateful for that!❤ I love all the shells and keep them as my little treasures.
I can see them from my bed, and they make me smile every time I see them. ❤
Thank you, my dear beach friend!
I'm glad you know what I go a little ga-ga over the olives and their shiny exterior, or the apple murex shells with all their delightful crevices. May they bring you as much joy as they bring me Ilona!
I appreciate your knowledge of the shells….thanks for sharing
My pleasure!
Love hearing your excitement when you’re showing & talking about your beautiful seashell collections. It’s obvious how much you love
collecting all of these beauties. Thank you so much for showing how you show them off. You use some of the same bowls & jars that I do when collecting on the Northeast part of the Atlantic Ocean. Collecting in the NE part of Florida is really difficult because the shells become broken as they move with the tides over the numerous manmade reefs. You’re so lucky to be on the best shell beaches in our state. See ya on Sunday. ♥️
I am BEYOND lucky. Even on days where there are no shells....there are shells!!!
@@SWFBeachLife ♥️
Beautiful collections. 😍👏👍👌A feast for the eyes.
So happy you shared your collections with us.
We would love to see your very special collections in your boxes. 😅
You inspired me to put my shell collections into thrifted glass bowls and vases.
I have found some shells on the beach in Italy.
Because I live in Germany, we don't have shell beaches due to the cold water in the North.
But, what I do is buy shells that people have donated to charity shops or buy shells people sell at village fleamarkets. Shells that people don't want anymore.
I wash them well in soapy water. Rinse. Soak in water with bleach to get them extra clean. Dry.
And put into glass vases.
It isn't the same as collecting in the wild but at least I have the pleasure of enjoying the beauty of the shells.
The other day, in a free box in a social shop, I found a tall cone tower with shells glued onto the tower.
It was missing shells and some were loose.
All it needed was TLC.
I got out my glue gun, and found shells out my stash to repair the tower.
You would never know it was repaired.
To buy one new as decor would have cost quite a few Euros!
I immediately saw the potential and rescued the shell tower. Lol.
I grabbed it out the free box. 😂
My partner gave me a dirty look as he has zero imagination. To him, it was junk.😂
Now that I have repaired it, it is beautiful, imo.
One shoul never give up on ones joy and be influenced by anyone. Follow your heart, follow your passion. 💕
Enjoy your shelling week. 🤗💕☀️
I feel like your shell collecting is just as valid as mine - just not on the beach! You search for them, clean them, and store them just like I do. You actually have a harder time finding them so kudos to you for doing what your heart is telling you to do! I love that you repaired that shell tower! And I couldn't agree more about finding your joy and not being influenced by others. You clearly know what makes you happy and good for you for not letting anyone stop you!! 🐚❤️
What a great collection! Thank you for sharing!
BEAUTIFUL TREASURES, SHARMON!.....THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING THEM. I LEARN SO MUCH ABOUT IDENTIFYING EACH SHELL FROM WATCHING YOUR CHANNEL. THANK YOU, AGAIN. 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Thank you Sharmin for sharing your collection of wonderful shells, so beautiful!💗💗💗💗
Awesome!!! Kind of like my house, but yours is neater. Loved this show! Thanks!
Thanks for watching!
Absolutely beautiful. Thank you for sharing and taking us along. Beautiful jewels from the sea! Can’t wait to return to Sanibel some day. When I was in my twenties, I took a trip from Philly to FL to visit relatives on the east coast. I lied to my mother, rented a car and drove all by myself from Palm Beach to Sanibel for shells! I should have stayed!
Bree is SO talented! I'm sure you'll love what she sends!
So many pretty treasures ❤
So much fun!
Wow! So beautiful!❤🐚
Thanks Sharmon that was great fun. I too have a tower of scallop shells(actually 3 large and a tiny one), one of olives, one of moon snails and medium sized shark tooth jar as well as one of beach glass I have many more of various shells as well large containers of driftwood pieces and a number of other things that you don't collect. I have shells from SWF but not many that I collected. Since most of mine fit on three shelves of a bookcase I don't plan to add many unless I get rid of some myself, unless I get down there in your area.
It's funny how so many of us display our shells similarly. Someone just shared photos of their collection with me and they have towers with sand on the bottom! They're awesome!!
I love this and hearing your thoughts on how to separate your shells. I have an antique planter bowl for most of mine. I have a couple of jars too. I made jewelry with some, a mirror frame and filled a jar that became a lamp.
Thank you for sharing your shell collection. I now have some good ideas for my shells that are still in boxes.
Such beautiful shells 🐚 You have an amazing collection!! I feel like a kid in a candy store watching this video❤❤
My shells are like animals I'm in love with all of them❤
BWHA HA HA HA 🤣
I love dumping out those containers and fondling my shells 🤣
Lovely video of all your shells! Heading to Naples/Keewaydin in June, you are my inspiration 😊
I hope you find lots of souvenirs!
What a fun peek into your “keeper” collection. Love it!
Thank you!
Awesome collection . Thanks for sharing
You're welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
I loved your shell collection! I was oohing and ahhing like I was watching a firework display! ❤
😊 thank you
Well thank you for showing us your beautiful collection. Always look forward to your videos, They are soooo calming.
Thank you so much!
What a gorgeous shell collection! I gasped at the beautiful hand painted shell(s) and went straight to Etsy to buy some 😆 Thank you for sharing!
Bree is SO talented! I'm sure you'll love your new piece!
Nice Collection of 🐚 🐚 🐚 🐚
Thank you very much
Love the cobalt blue bowl! And of course the shells too!
Thank you for this fabulous video!!! Love your collection. ❤️🐚❤️

Sharmon, I love your collection! I get all my glass jars at goodwill. I love my shell and jars. Thank you for sharing! I love those true tulips and all the alphabet cones! Amazing!
Awesome! Thank you!

What fun!!
I absolutely loved this , I have been making my living room beachy for summer( or longer ) and this gave me some great ideas , thank you . I look forward to your channel every week !!!
i see what you mean by a lot of shells. thanks for sharing. you have inspired me to do something with my shells i have lying around.
I loved every minute of this. Beautiful shells. You are a kindred spirit, Sharmon! My collections isn't quite as big but I have several jars. Unfortunately, most I had to buy. I aim to change that soon. Thanks for sharing!
Happy crafting!!
You have a gorgeous shell collection! I love how you display them. I am building mine a little at a time. If I could move to Florida I think it would grow more quickly lol. Thank you for showing us!
What a glorious collection!
Beautiful collection, what treasures of the ocean, TFS.
Thank you, they are beautiful.
Outstanding. You really cheerish the collection.
I saw a sign in a shop that reads, " Seashell is my birthstone!"
OMG - that's me!!!
Loved how the LWs all faced the edge of the vase! Would you believe I have the twin to your beautiful zig zag FC?! But I love your albinistic ones!❤️ I think you have me beat, girl!😁 Beautiful collection!!! xxoo
It's not fair to compare. Living here is like cheating! ❤️ But you have the druzy quartz!
Sharmon hope all is well . How about an orange shell collection. Or yellow one? This was fun to see. I just adore the big ones and the tiny ones actually lol 😂 I get so excited with all of them.
Apparently the only color I sort by is white 😂
what a treat this is!
You just love those Lettered Olives! Oh, and those Lightning Welks are so awesome! I'm busy making another Seashell Wreath and loving it!!!
Happy crafting!
Hi Sharmon! Your shell collection is fabulous and your excitement for "all things shells" definitely is contagious! I appreciate your knowledge of the tides, shelling locations, parking and fees! So helpful! I do have one questions and NOT judging but... What about the stunning jingle shells? I rarely see you picking them up. I have bowls of them around my house...orange, yellow, white and translucent. For me their bowls full of sunshine. I know you adore the Florida Fighting Conchs! And I guess, in the end, we all have a favorite! I love your Beach Walks and truly look forward to spending time with you each Sunday night! Stay well!
Funny you should mention jingles - I did pick up quite a few at Lovers Key so you’ll get to see some soon! I keep some - they were probably in the smaller jars I didn’t dump out. Maybe next year…
Absolutely love your videos.
Beautiful new ring too. 😅
It's temporary until I get my real one fixed!
I have a bunch of those shells from when I went to Clearwater Beach a few years ago. Wish I could go back.
I love this so much
This is such a fabulous collection…
I love seeing your beautiful shell collection, my mouth was watering, I have only a very few shells but love them.
Cheers from Perth Western Australia.
Thank you so much for watching!
I love your collections!
Thank you so much!
I've always dreamed of collecting seashells on the beach in the morning. From Pittsburgh , PA.
Got the chance twice in Ocean City and Altamtic City. Not a whole lot of luck. Someday!
So I will watch you and share in the obsession! 😊
When I lived in Sacramento as a child we would go to Pier I. I think that was the first store...There were many large and perfect specimens for sale. That's where my obsession began.
Now my bathrooms are sea and sea shell decored
Had seashells books too as a child.
The beaches up there contend with the Atlantic, so it's a bit harder for the shells to get on the beach. Over here on the Gulf of Mexico, the slope of our beaches is more gentle and the current and waves aren't as rough. It's a whole different shelling world down here!
So much fun to see your collection!
Thanks so much!
Love this. I'm missing my shells.,I'm at work. Lol.
What a beautiful shell collection! It is similar to my collection.
Given my OCD, I'd do some matching glass containers and sort out some smalls to mediums not tiniest, one of each in the same or similar color, yellow, pink, rose colored, white, different oranges, purples, etc.
You would have liked to see the shells I have put aside to sell. All organized by species...
I like that too! Something very soothing about organizing like items.
I love it! Thank you for sharing. ❤
Thanks for watching!
Awesome to have two videos this week, thanks Sharmon! Hey, I wondered, how do you clean your baby/unborn shells? 🐚 ❤
Those I don't clean. I probably could, but they are SO tiny that I just keep them and dirt and whatever else is in there in those little jars.
Hello. Good Evening 😊😊Happy Wednesday 🐚🐚
How did I miss the video with the albino giant Atlantic cockle? Dang it! I also find my shell containers/vases/displays at estate sales and thrift stores, along with some that were handed down to me. My collection is not nearly as large as yours, but then I just get a week once a year!
I really don't want my collection to get any bigger. I'll probably mess around with it more and downsize again in the future. While I know the shells aren't going to run out or anything, there is something so very special about each one!
What a beautiful collection 😍 ❤️
Thank you! 🤗
I’m so excited. I’ve been waiting for you to do this video ❤
Hope you like it!
I really enjoyed this. Thank you!! ❤❤❤
Glad you enjoyed it!

We have have one a Shell Factory here too!
@@SWFBeachLife cool. So nice to hear from you. Your videos bring me joy and a love for nature. Reminds me of my youth. Loved to sail and take adventures. @@allmightygreat1892 The tours usually end around sunset and the 5am visits to the beach I normally drive and have a headlamp, but you can only use headlamps in the winter when it's not turtle season.
What a beautiful collection! I'm on the hunt to find some fun shells like that for my classroom. So far I have only gotten to a couple east coast beaches.
You have to try the Florida South West Coast beaches!
My land, you have been busy!😊🐚🪸🪼
Beautiful!
Loved the extra video this week! Where are you keeping your rose petal tellins? With the way bivalves all slide into each other, maybe a shot glass!? Okay, maybe a little wine glass!
LOL! I have a few in my special box, and then I keep them in with the medium sized shells. I do like pink though. Maybe I should do a pink jar 🤔
I love those Operculum's. I called them "pearls" as I didn't know what they were or what they were from. Now I know. :) Let me know if you ever put some nutmegs on your etsy shoppe. :) Love you display. My goal this summer is to go through all my shells and organize better. I also have a shell coffee table with glass that has a display.
I have a printer tray that I'm going to make into a table. I just need to get off my fanny and buy the parts!
beautiful! thank you.
