Gosh, I'm still working on making it a routine like you have. I scatter it throughout the week but most of it tends to happen on the weekends. And I do the dishes after every single meal because I absolutely hate this chore and can't handle more than 2 plates 😂
Haha love that! If it helps, I don’t enjoy cleaning the bathroom at all. I think there’s always going to be something when it comes to chores we don’t love, but that’s an awesome strategy of making sure things don’t pile up 🥰
My routine is random lol however I always clean up the kitchen/dishes after every use. Sweep every night. The rest of the house though... gets spread out throughout the week. 👌🏼 thanks for the videos though!! It’s always satisfying seeing places go from “dirty” to clean!
Just a friendly tip for the toilet wiping. 🤗 You should always wipe from cleanest to dirtiest - so you start from the lid and work your way down to the rim. That's how we do it in the hotel business. 💞
I tend to watch these cleaning/decluttering videos at night and always have the urge to get up and clean. But at least now I know I have something to do tomorrow
Quick tip: when cleaning the toilet, you should wipe from top to bottom as well, as the bottom part is the dirtiest. I held my breath when I saw you wiping the other way around :)
FYI the nozzle looking part for your toilet cleaning product is so you can distribute the product inside the lip of the bowl. I’m not sure what that part is called but it helps to pour it that way, then let it sit so it can disinfect the bowl before you start going to town with the toilet brush. Just a tip. Enjoyed the video!
Your videos bring me so much peace! I've lived such a cluttered and crazy life forever, but you've inspired me to switch to a more minimalistic lifestyle. Thank you so much, and keep up the great content!!
Love all your videos. Been dealing with anxiety issues recently and I find watching your videos helps me to focus on the details of the day to keep me focused and calm. Thank you and well done on all you do x
I have a daily, weekly and monthly items I clean and a whole routine BUT I generally use white vinegar, baking soda and hydrogen peroxide as my go to cleaners. Safe, effective and kind to the environment...also inexpensive!
Why is watching someone tidy so relaxing? Love your content. Started my minimalism journey this year with your 200 items list. I use a vinegar/water solution for cleaning surfaces. What’s the couch defuzzer you’re using?
I have been looking at the Infuse products for a while now. Finally just went ahead and bought me my first bottle because of this video lol. I truly love it. I am slowly even phasing out of disinfecting wipes and use force of nature as my disinfecting portion of my cleaning. Both of these together awesome!
Hey lovely, I’m a house cleaner and I think you would love the vacuum I use in customer homes. It’s the shark duo clean. You can vacuum all floor types! I haven’t used a broom in over a year!
I read some of the more critical comments on how you clean. Girl, you clean! You do it regularly and don’t let it get horrific. In my book, that is enough. I started the fly lady method a while ago and the biggest thing it has taught me is to clean regularly (I do it in focused areas by week, and standard list weekly.). My house has never been so clean because I keep up with it. I do watch other videos for ideas on better ways to do it and incorporate them but in the end, just doing it is enough in my book. Good for you.
Super proud of you Ashlynne, congrats on 100K, glad that more famous youtubers mentioned you in their videos and helped you with your goal cause you deserve it. Greetings from Croatia as always ❤️
Just a couple of notes on cleaning the toilet, the cleaner bottle has the odd shaped neck so you can get it up, under the rim and squirt there. Also, when cleaning always go from outside, in. Start with the top of the cistern then do the lid and around the outside of the toilet. Then move to inside and do the inside of the toilet bowl last. That way you aren't moving any germs from inside to outside.
I just love watching people clean their house! I just purchased and read your e-book. I am very excited to try and convince my parents to declutter some spaces!
Thanks for the video! Sorry about all the negative comments. I don't think anyone's cleaning would stand up to that level of scrutiny! I'm a lot older than you but often you come up with something I had forgotten about or didn't know. In this one it was the reminder to oil my chopping boards. Watching this video also kicked off a deep clean of my kitchen... lol
We just bought a pack of cleaning towels to take the place of paper towels and it is a life saver. Also a washable dish sponge to do the dishes. We do the same we use oil on our wood cutting board. Great video 👍🏼
As you said you wanted to make some sustainable swaps I thought I would let you know that microfiber cloths aren't good for the environment. They contain small plastic particles that get into the water when you wash/rinse them. I had no idea until recently so I thought you might not either. I'm still on the hunt for a good option!
My grandmother used my grandfathers old socks when they got too ratty for him to wear. Good ol' cotton terry. And used for eons to avoid waste. We could learn a lot from that generation.

Hi Ashlynne. Just wanted to say your videos have given me even more inspiration to de clutter even more in more specific areas n my house. Thank you keep up the good work . Mainly in my kids room. Just saw this video and saw the desk you have in the living room wanted to know where you got it from?
Question about your mop! Can you refill it with your own cleaning solution? I use a homemade cleaner and have been looking for a mop that I don’t have to buy specific refills for. Thanks!
That is a little weird for the apartment building to require that but many counties/municipalities require that. I think it has something to do with keeping the process a little cleaner/neater and when it comes to trash day, recycling can be easily distinguished between trash (if its all picked up at the same day). Thanks for the video, I might try to implement some of these things but tougher with a baby and a larger space! lol Since we have more room, I don't put out the recycling until I have a full blue bag of cans/bottles. This way, I am not wasting a bag every week on just a few items. Also, I reuse the huge toilet paper plastic packages for storing paper and other plastic wraps for months before putting them to the curb (We have to separate these where I live in Canada). This helps save time as I don't have to do it every week and I'm not wasting as much plastic.
I see you've found yet another sustainable cleaning brand! Might have to look into Infuse's glass cleaner since what I currently have isn't providing the best results... As always, thank you for providing such great quality content
If I'm not mistaken, pizza boxes aren't supposed to be recycled, but that may just be certain cities? We recently received a list of items you can't recycle and pizza boxes were at the top of the list.
Ashlynne your plants looks GORGEOUS! So healthy and happy 🤗 I just dusted mine this morning as well! I'm in love with your desk, do you know where you found it?
