Man I ain't seen somebody utilize Reverse so effectively since Ferris done took them miles off that Ferrari's odometer... 😂 That campsite exit was so choice.
That must have been a nerve-wracking moment, backing down that tight road! Glad you found an awesome campsite by the river in the end. Sounds like quite the adventure, and it's cool that you got to put the recovery rope to use too. Looking forward to seeing more of your PNW explorations!
Awesome backing skills. Hubby and I go off-roading and have had similar experiences with branches squealing and sideswiping the Jeep. Every one of those branches made me cringe!
I have to say my hubby and I love your videos. We are currently watching the Ireland series but you make the PNW look even better! We're in Portland and we keep watching and wondering why we aren't spending more time in Washington following you around. We love the marital bliss that comes through and the true friendship you share. Keep up the great work and let us know how to get you more subscribers!
Such a nice comment, thank you!! And thanks for joining us! Wish we knew how to grow our community even faster but we'll just keep'em coming for now! 😉
Lol, the tree limb counter was awesome! That's creative brother, I like it! Nothing like trail stripes on the Jeep at the end of the day... eh, they'll buff out. I've got plenty on mine. Great video again, love watching them. Cheers!
Another sunday, another GREAT Wiseman video!! Part of the reason we have small trailers is so we can disconnect and move them around if needed. Along with getting over my "winch pride" (defined as not being too proud to pull cable instead of beating my rig up) I finally learned that it is sometimes easier to disconnect and turn the trailer around than it is to back up a long ways - But Matt you did an awesome job backing down the little road! Separate observation - y'all both look like you've been losing some weight. Looking Good!
Excellent backing. To back that far is a huge undetaking with a teardop, BUT to add the limited vision and heavy treeline. Amazing skillset. Love your lights Emily. Thanks for the coffee tip.
Good job backing that trailer up! Sometimes that's what you have to do when you're adventuring with a teardrop. Pinstripes are just visual reminders of how much fun you had.
Ninja level backing skills, Matt! Not sure I could've done that even without a trailer! Also loved the setting moon you captured…. Would you be willing to share your camera set up and technique there? Thanks to you both for another very enjoyable video. Looking forward to more.
Sorry for the delay, thank you!! For that shot used my 70-300 Tamron lens zoomed 💯% Slowed the shutter down to 1/3 because I needed more light since the iso was below 500 to see a little more detail 👍🏻 With the slow moving moon, slow shutter was just fine!
@@WheresWiseman I'll have to try something like that sometime. For some reason that shot lets you sense that the moon is actually stationary and we are turning with the earth. Nicely done!
I live near Asheville, NC and recently took a trip to WY, MT and ID. While in Idaho I followed my nose down a trail about 3 miles to discover a large tree across the trail. With a cliff going up on one side and down on the other, I backed my teardrop out the entire three miles. I took about an hour and I learned a valuable lesson. Exploring with a trailer is much more of a commitment than just being in your vehicle. Nice video and it looks like you ended up in a great spot.
Quite the skill set in reverse Matt! Please just unhook and turn around. Our @KermitTheTowd teardrop is easy to disconnect and resume the journey in same situation, much better for our sanity. This video is some of your best work- scenery, drone footage, water shots and Emily's reactions were "chef's kiss" Thanks for the great content!
I've had to back up our trailer quite a few times but I'm also adept at using the mirrors which usually helps unless the road is as overgrown as the one you backed down. I probably would have disconnected and turned around that way in that instance.
That road was a tight one to back a trailer down! Good job, hard on the paint though. A vinyl wrap would help act as a sacrifical layer that can be removed at a later date, keeping the original paint pristine.
So where did you guys get your bag for propane fire pit or did it come with it. We have one but no bag to store or transport in . Used it a lot in Colorado.
Hey, Let’s not do that again! How am I going to win that fire pit? One of those 73 branches in the jeep could have broken that windshield!! Looks like I’m still in the running!!! Beautiful video bye the way!!!
So funny...not so funny. The poor Jeep took a schwacking getting back down that narrow goat trail. And now with my Dad hat on, "Don't dive in water if you don't know the depth." Love you guys, so always Safety First. Cheers.
Hello I sent you a message on another video you did when you were winter camping and I didn’t get a response so I’m trying again on this video! I was wondering where did you get your dometic slide out tray. I am looking for one just like yours. Glad to see that your lovely wife is willing to swap roles with you just in case something happens to you, heaven forbid that. Talk to you later clarence
You need an E bike so you can scout out those spots first. Good job backing outta there🫣😄 I love how you guys get off the beaten path. It’s such a beautiful area. Were headed out there September 14th for two weeks. North Cascades first, Olympic next and then the coast all the way to the Redwoods ,Lassen Volcano, Crater Lake and Met Rainer.
The segment with the moon and the stars was phenomenal! Love your videos!
Thank you so much!
Here’s toward the buffing and bodywork! 😂
🤣🤣🤣 THANK YOU!!!!
Matt's ability to back a short wheel based trailer is only bested by his ability to create awesome videos!
Haha! Thanks my friend. Made our day ☺️
Man I ain't seen somebody utilize Reverse so effectively since Ferris done took them miles off that Ferrari's odometer... 😂 That campsite exit was so choice.
🤣🤣🤣 thanks 👍🏻
I am very impressed by how well you did backing up the trailer down that road. Two thumbs way up!!
Thanks!! 🤘🏻

You had us dying laughing from the "Tree inside jeep counter!" Another great video. Looking forward to the next one!
🤣🤣 Thank you!!
What a beautiful spot….
Yes it was! Think about it every Monday morning 😅
Great video! It looked like a nice spot tho. And Matt, definitely the backing king
Thank you! A bit sloped and tight for us. 💯
Always a thumbs up 👍
Thank you! Cheers!

at 11:01 that's called Pacific Northwest Pinstriping! 🤣
🤣🤣
That was a fun video.
Glad you enjoyed it!!
You're trailer set up with the Jeep is way cool. I grew up in WA and you guys are making me homesick!
Thanks and thanks for watching!
Either way, love your videos and adventures. Especially at cocktail time. lol 👌🏻👨🏼🚒
Thanks my friend 👍🏻
I'm a simple man. I see a new Wiseman video, I click. Happy Sunday.
Happy video Sunday my friend 👍🏻

Thanks Dale!!! 😁 Haha one of these days I'll finally just disconnect 😅 Thanks for noticing ⚖️ and for the very kind words my friend!
I have a trailer dolly , comes in handy.. i have a Ram 1500 and a T@B 320 though.
That'd be great to have on hand 👍🏻

💯!
The tree inside counter was superb 👌🏻. I also foresee revisiting this video to grab some of those Matt going into the water sound effects 😂😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣 👌🏻
Awesome! I am getting my first off road Teardrop on 2025! You find the best places!
Early congrats!!! 🎉🎉 Good luck with the patience 😅
@@WheresWiseman thanks!
Chester here… lol loved it thanks…
Glad you enjoyed it 😁
Quite the backup skills. Impressive! Good to see you checking out new sites.
Thanks!!
Great back up job!!!
Thank you!! 🤙🏻
I think this is the first video I’ve watched from you guys. Love it! We’re from PNW as well. (West side of Wa.) Hope to see you on the trails someday.
Thanks for watching!! Happy trails 🤙🏻
Nice! Great moon and night sky videography 👍
Thank you very much!
Good job on that back up job!!

Amazing back up skills camp cite post card perfect

One of these days I'll make it easier 😂 Thanks for the kind words!! Our pleasure 😌
You did really good backing up that trailer, backup camera would have helped a lot, I installed mine a few days ago I heard it is a game changer...
That would've been a huge help!
Nice video folks. Looks like the trailer is still serving you well. We might be picking ours up sooner. 😎
Thanks! It is indeed 👏🏻
I'm telling ya, you need to make a video about towing, turning and backing up! Great job and awesome campsite! 👍🏻😁
💯! Thanks 😉

That was 98% by feel. Feeling the bushes wack my shoulders 😂
I have a teardrop I built to not and easy spin but definitely doable if I was in the predicament.
I was wondering if, at the end of the road, it might have been easier to disconnect to trailer and walk it around, then reconnect??
Probably! Haha, think my pride got in the way on that one lol
@@WheresWiseman totally get it. I probably would have been down the hill. lol 👨🏼🚒

🤣😅 Sometimes you just have dive in! Lol
just curious why you just didn't unhook and spin them around separately?
That would be waaay too easy 😅
Official score of72 😂

Oh ha!! Just saw that. We'll dig a bit deeper and see what we can find 👌🏻
We have a tear drop camper...not an easy thing to do, if you have one you know what I am talking about.
💯
No offense, unhook the trailer and move it by hand...? 😅😅😅😅
That'd be too easy 😅

Totally agree on the e bike 👌🏻 Or just pop the drone up, but that's not as exciting 😅 Sounds like an epic trip! Have an amazing time, safe travels 🙏🏻
