jeez, marching band is one of the most physically exerting sports, especially professional march. like, your running around, dancing, doing both of those things with the most uncomfortable and stiff movements, all while putting most of your breath into your instrument.

These are Hammonds custom made for the Bluecoats. A mellophone mouthpiece is the best way to go because they are built to resonate with the horn the way a french horn or trumpet mouthpiece cannot

Karter Wood i use a hammond 6mp and it's always 40 cents sharp for me.
sometimes it isn't as much the mouthpiece though
the 6mp is made for trumpets switching to mello. try the 5mp
