I've been there, a LOOONG time ago when I was a kid.. One of the tour guides told us that if ANY member of the Hawthorne line, or any of the original members of the family that built the house enter or step foot on the property, the house "wakes up" & paranormal activity occurs throughout the house.. I'm kinda disappointed the lot of you didn't inquire about this..😕
Ginger Viking Jesus that's very interesting. My 11th great grandmother Ann Moore was the original owner of the property. She sold it to Turner after she ran into financial problems. Her son Thomas Moore, my 10th great grandfather, had built her a 11/2 story home on the site. I did visit the home about 5 years ago. I don't know if there was an increase in paranormal activity afterward though.
@@scubawi Well, paranormal & psionic activity respectively have a tendency to act as they see fit.. There is no guaranteed reaction, not to mention, it'll all depend on how receptive the family member IS to such events..
@@gingervikingjesus2351 when I visited I wasn't there because of paranormal activity I was there because of family history. When I visited and I saw the kitchen and hearth I couldn't help but wonder if that part of the house had been the one in my ancestors house. Later I read that there's a good chance that it was. It was cool to think that the hearth may have been used by my ancestor 13 generations ago.
I stopped through Salem in 1973 and went on a tour of the house of the seven gables. We got to go into the concealed smuggler's stair for hiding illegal goods.
I know I watched this exact same video hosted by the same two woman this last month. Either this is an accidental re release or I have entered an alternate timeline
Went here a couple weeks ago. Was a really cool experience. Great video!

Can you tell me what you meant when you said there were other historic buildings that were add to the area of land again?
I love them!!!! It's so weird to see what they look like after years of listening to their voices
Great video

How can you talk about this house and NOT SHOW THE SECRET STAIRS!!
Dial it down, David. You're too damned hyper.
I actually went there when I was in middle school.
Slave trade? Catholic discrimination?? Nice legacy!
