Thanks for posting. Shirley Temple was very pretty and talented.
Pretty awesome cast in this
This was videotaped in 1960, starting the decade of videtape TV that reached its peak in the show Dark Shadows, a Dan Curtis production. Shirley was 32 years old. Dr. Smith from Lost in Space was her tormentor. This must have been why they chose him as the stowaway on Jupiter 2 a few years later :) But Robert Culp became the serial killer from Colombo! Colombo kept catching him but he killed and killed again. :0
Each segment was shot in one take, with extremely complex camera movement when cameras were the size of a barge.
Four years later Culp blows minds as Trent in Demon with Glass Hand episode of Outer Limits.
Interesting contrast between actresses Shirley Temple and Agnes Moorehead. One very much a popular celebrity, the other a very dedicated actress.
I really appreciate and enjoyed watching this and thank you for sharing it with us
Shirley Temple was a beautiful little girl, a beautiful teenager and a beautiful Shirley Temple Black. She was a beautiful wife and mother and ambassador Czechoslovak then, now Czech Republic. She was a beautiful woman physically but much more important, she was a beautiful and wonderful spiritual woman. 😇😇😇
I really appreciate and enjoyed watching 👀 this and thank you for sharing it with us ❤
Surprised to see how amazing child actress is about as engaging as a sophomore from a convent school. Sorry, but her genius departed though the magic of earlier days remains spectacular, unrivaled.
It might have been the script. I expected better acting from Agnes Moorehead. This was “melodrama”.
Oh yeah Dark Shadows vibes
Love this old Gem , with American supper star !
Even such a crappy production is great ro see! Agnes is a pro. Everyone is so young!
Interesting!! Who knew??!! I guess you did. Thanx for posting!!
I haven’t seen this one of Shirley Temple..
Love the blue eye shadow!
It contrasts beautifully with her beautiful blue dress. However, I wish her cheeks weren’t quite so pink. I think it makes them look fat and unattractive. 😮😮😮😮
I get that it's from a children's anthology show and perhaps the teleplay writers didn't feel the need to put in much effort, but to give such great actors such bad lines is truly unfortunate. None of them shone. Still it was wonderful to see Shirley and Agnes. They're lovely, regardless!
I agree. It was nice to see them.
Why would you think any adaptation of The House of the Seven Gables is anything to do with a children's anthology?!? 😂🙄🤷🏼♀️ Odd thing to claim.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤excellent!
Please put the original release date in the description, not just the date you posted it. Thanks.
I’ve always heard the name of the book 📕 but I never knew what it was about. I’ve read The Scarlet Letter though. I thought it was a terribly sad 😢 book. I’ve also read the Red Badge of Courage, Jane Eire and Wuthering Heights and The Forsyth Saga. I also read Little Women. 📕📒📖📚However, now I’m reading the entire series of the ABC Alphabet series. I’ve read them 5 or 6 years ago and I’m on T is for Trespass. 📕📕📕😊😊😊
The whole genre of televised plays doesn’t really exist anymore. It’s in the vein of soap operas, except soap operas move much more quickly. The acting is completely wooden in this genre and wouldn’t work today.
Σας παρακαλώ βάλε ελληνικούς χαρακτήρες ❤😢
Thank God that movies don't suck like this one...this is aweful.
This is a televised play, it is not a movie like you think.
@@moorek1967it’s still bad. Really shockingly bad.
Did anyone notice a mouse run across the floor at 7:28 and a cable on the left side of the stairs at 27:23?
Today's "movies" are WORSE than this. No talent of acting, they look like "video games" 😖
Had no idea she was this beautiful.
