Honestly, vintage is a pretty great trend. It also overlaps with all the other trends in this video, so you can still rock the other styles in a vintage fit as well.
i feel like vintage, oversized and minimalism go all hand in hand into one big style and a lot of people incl me are mixing these up and it works well 🤝
I've been in vintage for about 3 years buying and selling now. The amount the scene has grown in the last 3 years is so insane. It's only a matter of time before these giant department stores start sourcing their own vintage and reaching into their archives to try get their piece of the profits too. Its really cool and kinda sad at the same time. You can't cheaply get the things you wanted like before. But at least there's more recycling of clothing going on it seems. That's a win for everybody 🌍
Exactly, 3 years ago a vintage Burberry trench coat would be between £100-£150 and sometimes as little as £85. Now I see people charging double that so around £250+ 🤢 ,
Personally I think that going oversized or minimalist is like adding a modifier to whatever your fit is. They're not really genres they're changes to other genres
Hey I know you probably won’t read this but I’m so happy that vintage won! I was nervous the whole video lol. I started getting into vintage stuff when I was like 13-14 (4years) ago and I’m glad to see that it’s something that has only become more appreciated and accepted in the world of fashion. Especially with how trend focused clothing is now. so yeah that’s it. I’m a big fan
I think fashion neologism are fascinating because many things have already existed under another names, some trends disappeared (RIP healthGoth, Normcore, Art Hoe and stuff) some elvoved, some merged, some synthetized and here we are with this grid that sum up the current situation.
@@LeoMidori Yes, purposefully dressing neutral as the apex of coolness is a 2010s era thing. Maximalism and 'being the main character' is the contrary and the current zeitgeist
RIGHT like seriously no way minimalism is better than oversized,, they’re almost the same thing but out of the two oversized is definitely better (in my opinion)
Idk, wearing clothes that actually fit you just right is just a great feeling. As someone that is 5'4 120lbs, I just feel weird wearing oversized or baggy clothing. I'm also not just like super slim and skin and bones, and wearing oversized clothes will probably give people the impression that I am.
As a skater we dress in “vintage” clothes from the thrift store soo thrift and skate “core” are the same when dude says skate core he means hype beast shit
Your videos are the only fashion videos I can fully get through and be fully entertained, and I appreciate that you address lots of different styles. These videos are certainly not MID.
i was made about these basic styles winning until i realized the video was about best trends of all time and not best trends of 2020, with that in mind your decisions are understandable
LOL at the end Christian basically reiterates what Virgil Abloh meant when he said streetwear was going to die. Vintage/archival fashion is the actual past/present/future.
Minimalism is like Latin, the basis of most language. Can’t be denied. But vintage is my favorite. So many styles are affordable at your local thrift stores. And every piece is like 1/1. Vintage is my winner from the start.
Dude I just found your channel and I have to say your opinions and punchlines and utilization w the green screen to make your videos more entertaining are all on point. Plus I think your thoughts w fashion and trends are more honest and not far off from the deep end but to keep it short I fuck w your content heavy and looking forward to what you’ll put out next

Everybody gangsta til Frugal Aesthetic rocks his alien suit

i think skate core, vintage, and oversized are all intertwined in some way tbh
They all vibe at the same wavelength
I like to mix all the three
minimalism too
Facts! Athleisure is beginning to get involved too because bandwagon people are starting to like Jordan’s and Nike Sbs
i agree they all just like mix with each other i guess
Just a heads up he finally wears the green screen suit
im gonna cry
idk if you intended the pun but, “just a heads up”
NO WAY
He finally noticed my comments lol
Finally. 😭♥️
Attempt number 18 at asking christian to buy a full green screen... WAIT HE DID IT?!?!? OH MY GOD YES!!!!
We won, Mr. Stark
congrats you did it
ayeee haha
I did a pogchamp face the second I saw him
You did it finally
Minimalist is like a starting point, from there your fashion sense grows into whatever (tech/vintage/smart)
It’s true
Or it stays there...
I love minimalism I just don’t get why vintage won

No use in lying now. We see right through you, Christian.
😏
Is that a threat
Use me as a “just got flashed by a green screen” button
He actually did it, the green screen suit, its glorious.
i feel like vintage, oversized and minimalism go all hand in hand into one big style and a lot of people incl me are mixing these up and it works well 🤝
I think that mixture is essentially skate core
Your outfit at the start of this video transcended all fashion. 😱
Techwear is what I wanted to wear as an adult when I was in high school

"That's crazy"
"What's cherry bois"

I’ve been buying second hand for about the same amount of time and it’s weird to see stores selling vintage clothing for such a big mark up

No one’s gonna talk about how the editor went full God mode on this video??
idk why but these vids are so amazing to watch at night it just like a late night learning fashion vibe thanks Christian
When you poor as hell and only wear fruit of the loom pocket shirts but the cool kids call it minilism 😎
I’ve been wearing pastels fairly consistently since I was like 5 years old. I feel fashionable for once.

God bless this channel for existing. Great blend of memes and educational content.
Bracket: Minimal vs techwear
Greyman techwear: I see this as an absolute win
I’m like 55% athleisure, 10% skate core, 10% minimalism, 10% vintage, 10% SLP core, and 5% techwear.
Literally nobody:
Christian: We got two heavy hitters here
I used to use clothes with a lot of brand on it but now I’m going all in on minimalistic wear
