Monterey is one of the few nice places left in Cali. Mainly because it is too far away from the SF Bay Area to become a bedroom community of it. It's a very beautiful area. Laid back like a small town, but not lacking big city amenities.
My hometown... It's where pretty much all the best memories from my childhood and teen years are. Last I visited was 19 years ago now, and I'm still driving the same car I was driving then, and back in the late eighties when I passed my driving test in Seaside, which may tell you that I can't really afford to live in Monterey now, given how property values and cost of living have increased. Seattle is too far north for me, yet I've been here for over half my life. Will I return to Monterey? To visit, for sure. Not sure where I'll eventually settle, though, just further south than where I am now. What will be the fate of California, given climate change, fires, drought? Well, Monterey is on the coast, and it's got fog in the mornings to help regulate the temperature. I doubt it will get any less expensive, though.
Looks super clean...where do all the homeless Hang....or is it a case , I don't like you Lebowski, I don't like your face, I don't dig your attitude, but most of all I don't like you....
The few bums in Monterey usually hang out in the wharf area where the tourists are, but they aren't aggressive like the ones up in the Bay Area. I was just there last summer, and I don't remember seeing any tent cities like you do up in the SF Bay Area or even Santa Cruz. Monterey is actually very safe and clean. I never had any problems there with anyone.
They are always by the bus station area not too far from where this was filmed. However the majority are in Salinas abt 15 mins from here in "china town"

Thanks. I am not using a gimbal (although, I am thinking about buying one). And no postproduction gimmicks. I just walk very carefully. :)
