8:05 Newspaper headline: “Woman’s walk home was a mistake”

For the first story, it is VERY important to note that the Winnipeg authorities have stated they won't do what the families of the victims want and search the landfill. They let trash continue to be dumped where they believe the victims bodies are for at least 30 days before stopping dumping on a tiny portion of the landfill area. They say it'll cost them too much money ($150,000, but they also just blew $200,000 on a robot dog soooo....), but those women are someone's family; mother's and daughters. Also, the perpetrator's next door neighbor said he can name at least a dozen different women that he witnessed skibicki had over, so it's likely there's other victims there. People really need to push for these women to be removed from the landfill that awful man put them in so they can be given back to their families. Authorities dropped the ball on this case so many times because they don't care about indigenous women and its so messed up.

I’m from Winnipeg and I would just like to say they aren’t looking for the other victims because the police don’t want to look. “Too much time and effort” they says. But honestly in my opinion I feel like it’s because they know they will find more remains. And the police don’t want to deal with it. It’s honestly such a huge disappointment and such a disgrace. I pray from the victims families. As a member of the community I stand with the families 🧡❤️

I am going to tell you one thing, many (not all) women enjoy to be treated badly as part of an erotic scenario by their partner, but that's supposed to be just it, a fun roleplay making their heart race. Many of these killers take this dead seriously and that's what makes them dangerous. They even go extra steps into infamy with relations that are not consensual. In fact, this type of violent killers often experiment with bdsm and go way past the green line of safety to meet increasingly more violent levels of thrill. It becomes sort of an addiction. Anyway, that's my personal theory on the genesis of some of these murderers.

It's often a two way street: the "respectable" citizens of society reject them and these s**x workers think the system failed them and cannot be trusted. Also, keep in mind those addicted to substances would backstab anyone and sell their own father to get a dose...
That poor woman who managed to land a job at a fast food despite her past situation proves that they can turn their lives around, one step at a time. I feel like she was about to see the light before her untimely death. So sad, surviving the streets but dying with the serial killer Russian roulette...

These stories make me want to cry. The victims are all thought of as disposable. They are people who are most likely not to missed. There is also a nothing theme here. If your are indigenous, a sex worker and an addicted the authorities don’t give a rip about you

Man hats off to the men and woman detectives that don't give up on these cold cases... It's so awesome to know that people do care about people and that there is good in this world where's there is so much violence... They don't give up until they have answers for some the family's of victims and that's just great!

The first case where the poor guy was in prison for 37 years on mainly the bite mark evidence was appalling and heartbreaking. The expert witness was cocky. He’d got it right in Bundy’s trial so now he thought he was the “go to guy” for bite marks. He also now believes it’s junk science. There was a study done where pictures of bite marks wee sent to odontologists. Some weren’t even bite marks that were sent from cadavers. All of them could not agree as a community what was or wasn’t a bite mark. There was no consensus in the community as an agreement. The Innocence Project are amazing. If you get a chance listen to the podcast Wrongful Convictions with Jason Flom. The first case is I in there and they do an incredible job. As do you CL ❤,

Seeing as how they migrated here like everyone else, they can't be "Indigenous" or "Native". They didn't just naturally appear out of dust in North America. Like everyone else, they migrated here. They are just as native to these lands as the Vikings, Spanish, French, and English are!
