- Just had to upload this! It is an episode from General Electric Theater dated 24th March 1957 and shows a very young Michael Landon. Russ Baker (Robert Cummings) is known as a peaceful man trying to live down his reputation as a gunslinger. His boss, rancher Mack Duncan, is completely against violence; that's why he's infuriated when Russ shows his son Claude (Michael Landon) how to use a gun. But knowing how to use a gun becomes useful when it's needed to defend another rancher.

Thanks, so much for the upload, I always liked Bob Cummings, have seen him in movies and various programs, also can't forget Michael Landon, so young, and handsome.Cant believe how time passes so quickly, this seems like I saw, this just yesterday. And its been over 50 yrs ago. Enjoy life while you can, for it doesn't last long.

The woman is Rachel Ames. She played Audrey Hardy on General Hospital and was on the show longer than anyone else.

“Slick Everett” looks like Jack Lambert who played some of the meanest looking bad guys in TV westerns. He even intimidated some actors of his time with his demeanor and look.

That was well written and casting was great! Landon’s smile and the twinkle in his eyes was playful.
"I told you once that there ain't a town big enough for the both of us".......classic 50's t.v. dialog. You better believe it pilgrim! ( how I miss it )

This was later included in various MCA network and syndicated anthology "packages", including NBC's "COLGATE WESTERN THEATER" {August 14, 1959}. This is a "reissue" print [note the "Place Commercial Here" bumpers], minus the G.E. title and Ronald Reagan's opening and closing segments.

Also in the cast is a young Judith Ames who went on to do countless TV westerns and was Audrey on General Hospital a long time soap opera.
She started acting using the stage name Judith Ames.
