Hawk Performance Street and Track Pads for a C8 Chevrolet Corvette

We received and installed the first set of Hawk race pads for the C8 Z51 Corvette. We ran the DTC-60 compound on the car at VIR on typical 200 TW street tires.

Hi Ken, did you say that the Hawk HPS 5.0's are comparable to the OEM Z51 (Pagid HP 443 GF) brake pads? Do you still feel the same since 2 years ago? I'm doing light track events and drive the car to/from events and don't want to be swapping pads just for the event. I keep the OEM Z51 pads on during the summer and swap to the Hawk ceramics for the fall/spring. So what's a good replacement for the OEM Z51 pads? It seems that that DTC-60 had a min temp rating of 400F = not ideal for me to drive on the street.

Hey! I can clarify for sure. The HPS 5.0 are comparable as a reasonably priced street pad but they will not take the track use like the OEM Pagids. If there is a line for track/no track the Hawks are on the no track side while the OEM Pagids are on the track side. Marginal and fast wearing but still OK.
