I am a 21 year old white kid from Colorado. My parents never listened to De La let alone any rap music growing up. It is wild to me how far I have come down on this weird classic rap iceberg. Very few that i know from my generation have ANY clue who De La soul is, and what they have done for the music industry. My generation is so disconnected from the past. I was never meant to hear this music when it came out. Some of these De La videos are actually fucking hilarious. Sad these guys got fucked over and lost basically a whole generation of streamers. God bless Dave and anyone my age who has recently gained a serious love for De La. This song goes so hard.
