No, they made a sh*t out of the show by making it a melodrama with all that mental disease plot and Plot armouring Ruth's character, pussifying Marty's character in the process. The show went from gold to sh*t in the 3rd season itself.

The Wendy and Darlene scene gave me real goosebumps
In a world where you can see every twist coming with no tension around the protagonists deaths, Ozark is the only show that keeps me on the edge of my seat.

I haven’t seen anyone bring this up so I will. Since Marty Byrd came to the Ozark’s he is the reason Ruth Langmore’s uncles, dad, and now cousin are all dead. Only Ruth and 3 are still alive since Marty entered their lives. I think this comes to a head in part 2 season 4.
I had nearly forgotten about Uncle Boyd and the other uncle what’s his name who was gay with agent Petty. I just remember them both getting electrocuted to death on Marty’s dock lol. And yeah Ruth’s dad Cade got whacked by Nelson on the road while trying to get away with the cartels money.

Not so sure on that last statement. Ozark eclipses a majority of stuff that comes out on Netflix though.
@@thedingleberrybush6076 from the shows I’ve watched on there they seem to round shows off rather well. Cancelled some that I’m not too happy about, mine hunter to list one.
@@Bloomuhh Mindhunter was a huge loss. I think season 3 could’ve been some of the shows best with what they were building up to. I’m of the opinion that Netflix’s business model works to get as many people looking for different types of shows subscribed to their platform...but they should have more faith and invest more in the gems that really outshine the rest. I feel rather fortunate we’re even getting a finale with ozark so I’ll take what I can get!

This channel is so many steps above 99% of shitty TH-cam recap videos that barely describe the plot and just show the big moments. The way you can weave this massive story into a concise and interesting 19 minutes is so impressive.

What remains funny to me, is pretty much everyone has to die here. There almost can't be a good ending for this, everyone would call it too sappy. The kids, Marty and Wendy retiring to some non-extradition country, sipping Mai Tais on the beach while the kid's swim with their new friends. Yeah that was never going to happen. I will be surprised actually if any of the main characters survive. I don't think there is a "Jesse driving off into the sunset" for Ruth here. She's going to die. She is the Hank of this story, whose death will be amazingly well done. If she goes out, without Marty and Wendy begging for her life, and her telling them to fuck off before she dies, will make me sad.

Jonah is so annoying this season. It doesn't make sense to me that out of the 2 kids Charlotte is the one who understand that getting Ben killed was the best option for the family. And how can than cold rational guy from the previous seasons think that working with crazy and unpredictable Darlene is a good idea?
It actually did make sense. She’s the older sibling lol and given the situation, they both had to mature up very quickly; but Jonah is still only 14

wendy sparing darlene during the heart attack made no sense at the time..she was savage and ruthless and this wouldve eliminated her with no reprecussions cuz itd be natural causes
