I think she would know better than to just sit back and launder for the cartel, particularly after she killed their leader.
Yes. I knew she would die if she keeps on being in the Ozarks. It was not a good decision from her. Felt sad for her but it was a practical ending having her killed. Also, Marty was right about it being a suicide mission to try to help Ruth. The only thing, however, was how Ruth died. It was very un-Ruth like to simply give in to her fate so easily. Seeing the car waiting for her, she should have simply turned the car around and kept on driving for her life. That's who we know Ruth is. A survivor. How she died could have been written differently I suppose but her having to die was necessary.

ITA. The ending did her wrong. It did a lot wrong, just IMO.

It’s odd that no one on this show carries a gun with them, other than cartel hit men. You’d think that after seeing everyone get murdered left and right, Ruth would have a gun on her at all times. Especially after killing a cartel boss. But whatevs.
Ruth usually does have a gun on her, just not at that party, which makes sense, from what she knew only 3 people saw her kill Javi.
Let’s get this straight The Byrde’s didn’t get their come uppance simply because the producers want to make a spin off. That’s the only reason.

That's something breaking bad does really well, and it can lead to even more intense action scenes if everyone is running around with guns lol
Ruth was the Jessie Pinkman of this show… except Jessie had a nicer ending :(
OZARK has been quite a ride. And I feel it ended as wildly as it started. Of course, everyone is going to have their own opinions on how it all ends. It's bittersweet, fair, unfair, satisfying, unsatisfying, resolved, unresolved.
they could’ve been generous enough to give three and rachel some closure😂 also i think rachel should died, some of a “don’t go back to your old ways” reminder.

Ruth finally gets to break the toxic cycle of the Langmore family while becoming wealthy and she messes it up by killing a key cartel member. Really wish she’d have taken her money and run

Didn't realise this was the final season! Can they just record one more episode where Wendy gets shot? Or like have any negative consequences for her actions. I'll take a bird shitting on their car at this point

The Byrd's are horrible people... The fact that they didn't lose a single family member to show the heavy consequences makes this ending such a cop out. Horrible rush ending to a pretty good show.

overall season 4 was kind of a disappointment for me. I really was thinking Camilla would put a hit on the Missouri Belle party and kill everyone. Bummer that Ruth didn't make it out alive. She was kind of the Jesse Pinkman of the show, but she made a grave mistake killing Javier. I was also disappointed in what they did with Wyatt's character. The writers always have a difficult time wrapping up these type of shows.

Was legitimately hoping for a happier ending where they could dismantle the cartel in a way the void wouldn't be instantly refilled. They wouldn't have to stop all drugs forever but enough to feel like they made a significant difference.
