Lily Bingham Idk everyone says she was great, I personally think she got lucky a lot of times. The one save literally hit her side, the other she literally almost hit into her goal. I also think she looked awful on the penalty kick. Maybe it was just a really hard read, but idk... I just feel like she didn’t look as great as everyone said she did. However, this is also the only game I saw her in.
cora weldy I think that she is a great goalie but on penalty kicks, when you don’t dive a certain way, then most people get inside their head and it’s hard stop them. You have to pick a side and dive.

Rose Lavelle's goal was a work of art. But don't forget the players that orchestrated it. Dunn and Mewis had great plays leading up to the goal. Once again, great teamwork by the USWNT. That is why they are the best in the world!!!

At first I thought that Mewis just did an easy pass but upon viewing it in slow mode you can see how she protected the ball with her body prior to the pass. I cried for Dunn too, she had to get cut from the team once and that's crippling but she fought her way back and is now immortalized as a legend with the cleanest steal when it mattered most. I love our ladies!

Loved Lavelles reaction mid tumble. You could see her excitement as she was falling when she saw that ball go in the back of the net. I just wish one of these World Cups, our mens team would step up.
The issue with the men's team is there's little to no organization, structure or development of players in the way that the women's team has it. By the time they're 14-15, girls are already on the radar of the USWNT coaches in terms of figuring out their development as a player and what role they could potentially play in the future of the program (part of this may have to do with what age they are physically fully developed), but on the men's side, it's really not until you're in college. Other countries start developing these players when they're young as well, which is why you see so many teenagers playing for other countries in the World Cup, whereas the US doesn't take that step. There are also more facilitated/administrated team camps where younger players have more opportunities to grow and develop as players in comparison to the Men's National Team, as well as a variety of different games where younger and more experienced players have the opportunity to prove themselves to the National Team coaches. That is what the men's team lacks that the women’s team has which makes them so successful. It's not a lack of talent, it 's just a lack of development at that level.
This is the Best of the Best Works Cup Final. Everyone in the field tried their 100% from the start to the end. The Netherlands gollie is the best from the Dutch team and no doubt she won the Golden gloves for her fantastic performances. USWNT roared from every corner, and shot many prominent goals and turned as the Winner. Rapinoe and Morgan were the best of the best on Earth. Rapinoe read the game so well, and she did for her Country history, again.

When Naeher came out to kick the ball away in the 29th minute, she saved a sure goal that would have made it 1 - 0 for the Netherlands.
That was the pivotal play of the match.
If the Netherlands had been able to score first, it would have put intense pressure on the U.S. team and been an intense uplift for the Netherlands team.
Naeher made an absolute split second decision to do what was required.

At 25:22, Alyssa Naeher's split second decision to come out and kick the ball away was the first quintessential play of the match.
If she had not made that impeccable play, it would have been 0 -1 to the Netherlands and the entire complexion of the match could have been entirely different from that point forward.
The other premium pivotal play was Crystal Dunn's tackle and steal that resulted in Rose Lavelle's goal.
Great quote from Telemundo announcer after the final game. After the Thailand game, he says the world champions are here and if you want to beat the champion you will have to play your A game
And none of them could.
Many of them played their A-game and they still lost. It shows you how incredible USWNT really was. The outcome never was in doubt.
The only game I consider the US didn't play their A game was against, Spain.

Love watching USWNT, and Rapinoe's PK was glorious...she beat a great goalkeeper, nullified her, froze her in a deep freeze under the polar ice cap.
As a man, I was normally interested in men's sports, but few year ago, I found the thrill of women's sports and suddenly I became "glued to women's sports" and NOBODY can make me change my mind ! Even, many of my friends are now into the same trend. I do NOT miss college softball, soccer (football), tennis... Women are a bread apart because they normally play as ladies (most of them), and to me, this is the charm that attracts me. AND BESIDES THIS... THEY SHOULD BE PAID AT THE SAME SCALE AS MEN...!!!

Also due to a lack of experience i think they played under their level and made a bunch of tactical errors, otherwise the US would have a very hard match with the Netherlands.. The Dutch had to play a little more straight up physical game against the US because they were getting beat off the ball and outrun. They had a hard time clearing their own goal. The US were peppering the goalie throughout the game and if it wasn't for their goalie, the US would of blown them out.

This was a very good game, worthy of a final.
I have not enjoyed watching a soccer team play like I did with the American Women's Soccer team this year since Brazil won the World Cup in 1970 with Pele, Jairzhino, Rivilino, Tostao and Carlos Alberto. I have tremendous admiration of these young ladies. Not even Messi and Ronaldo and all the other SUPER STARS have impressed me like the women on this team. It was an absolute delight to see Rose Lavelle, Alex Morgan, Mallory Pugh, Megan Rapino, Chrystal Dunn, Chrestin Press, Tobin Heath and Julie Ertz do their magic. As a former soccer player, I REALLY delighted in the quality of play that I saw.

The Dutch GK kept them in the game. I've watched this vid many times, played GK at university, and she made at least two saves that were remarkable. US might have won this game 4 or 5 zip had it not been for the Netherlands GK. What a great game!
