My iPad story I got the iPad 2 just after college back then and thought it was freakin amazing. Then I got the iPad 3 but was thicker and heavier, and with the next update, it was already starting to slowing down. iPad 4 came out with a better processor and lightning, but it was 6 months after the 3 so I didn’t get it. I did get the iPad Air and that was a workhorse. It was sturdy and easy to hold, and was the fastest iPad yet. I didn’t get the iPad Air 2 because the speed difference wasn’t that significant, but I did miss out on an incredibly thin and light iPad, and the option to get it in gold. Then the Pro line up came and I have gotten every Pro. The 9.7 Pro was awesome and did it all perfectly. Then the 10.5 Pro was awesome and was fast with a big screen, but heavier. Now I have the 2018 11” model, and my 2020 Pro 11” is in the mail. The lightness and thinness is great and so futuristic, but it comes at a price. Both my original 2018 Pro and Apple’s replacement for it started having ghost touches, and is likely caused by torque on the digitizer when picking up the iPad or setting it down, typically holding it for a while then setting it down, I’ll have random ghost touches at a single spot, or in the case of the replacement, 3-4 different spots. My biggest surprise is that I have not accidentally bent my iPad Pro 11. I knew it wouldn’t be hard because the iPad Pro 9.7 was already thin and it’s easy to keep safe, but I was worried about this 11. So far it holds up great. If your curious what I’m doing with all these iPads, I sell them on eBay to buy the next iPad. What am I doing on the iPads? The last 2 years has been a lot of PUBG. Tons of TH-cam, lots of gaming, movies, recipes, web searching, reading, amazon, editing video and 50 other things. I have 520 apps. I freakin love my iPads. I’ve said that the last 9 years. This is truly amazing. I cannot believe how well they have imovie and garageband integrated into the ipad wow! The cameras are a welcomed sight and the A5 1 ghz dual core truly is exciting! The cover is really cool and innovative. Apple truly is a company all its own. Everything they do is like art.
and i love how at the end its 2011 the year of the ipad 2... considering apple releases updated tech every year 2010 was the year of the ipad 1 and it'll just keep going on...
The fact that the iPad mini is basically just an iPad 2, just smaller for about £50 less... Plus I think that the main part of the iPad experience is the size, which the iPad mini doesn't have...
This device sounds amazing, but they could've added SO much more, for example: - Make syncing wireless - Add more memory! The Motorola Xoom has 1Gb and this only has 256Mb. - Better screen resolution! The screen is worse than the iPhone 4. - More expandable memory! The iPad 2 goes up to 64Gb which is the same as the iPad. These features (and many more) are lacking on the iPad 2 but could easily be added by Apple. They are saving these upgrades for the ipad 3. Ipad 2 is the iPad with a camera..

I still have it on iOS 8.4 (along with an iPad 4). Its battery life is awesome (and somehow better than the iPad 4), but I'll probably upgrade to an iPhone (preferably XR) soon. It was my first mobile device (Apple or otherwise) that I ever owned.
$400... on the low end. Dont waste your money! iPad 3 is coming soon. If you bought one. I apolagize. Ive used one, its a cool toy, worth $150 at most. My laptop costed $600. It does way more and lasts longer.
here is what apple always adds: lighter thinner new colors cameras faster and it always happens every year, so once u get the ipad 2, ipad 3 will be already designed....

iPad 2 = iPad 1.5 If someone already Owns the Original iPad i think they should Just Keep it and wait until the iPad 3 is released unless they really feel the need to record video and use facetime from their iPad then its up to you but i believe that the iPad 3 will have a Retina Display (probably some newer version of the Retina Display), 16:9 screen, Duel Core or higher Chip and possibly Expandable Memory. but if you don't already own an iPad then why not go for the newer version.
@ChristianMusician777 Not everyone wants a screen protector, plenty of people don't ever have one. A case for the iPad would completely destroy the purpose of making it thinner if the case just made it more bulky. Its pretty cool, but its not worth upgrading if the you have the first iPad. I see nothing wrong with the cameras, and I think you are just trying to find reasons to hate. Calm down.
all of you complain about apple updating products once a year, when android had a new phone every month, and plus, all of you in this comment section would do the exact same thing as apple, add one or two features every year to milk the iPad
im a big apple fan, i bought my ipad as soon as it came out and fell in love with it, but when i watched the full keynote on TH-cam i was very disappointed, i dont know what i was going to expect but i wanted a whole new UI, Apple have used the same UI for 4 years...its just so dull, i dont want to jailbreak my devices just so i can change the icons and display, Apple probably know how many people jailbreak, they should really let US, the customers who spend a fortune, to be able to customise.

@man316420 PC makers didnt make innovations in the sense of music players or touch screen toys necessarily, but they did make innovations in the Graphics Processing Unit and the Central Processing Unit that powers all these innovative technology. PC makers made the core materials needed to make these innovative technologies whether it be smaller and more powerful or just plain amazing.
