To be fair, normal mode is pretty damn easy if you're playing through normally. I think the harder difficulties are great, but I play normal for my no kill/undetected playthroughs.

How are people saying that the PC problems are going to get fixed in a week? People with SLI GTX 1080s are running into performance problems. This won't be fixed in one patch.
It is fortunate for us that a performance patch is coming in he next few days. But of course, it should have been dealt with before the release.

Why is Corvo even in this game? Didn't his story end? Why is he cool with this new chick? It looks like the story revolves ENTIRELY around Emily while Corvo is just...there?

Corvo is Emily's father and her royal protector/bodyguard. I dont understand why you think he was only included to please fans of the original. He has a totally different move set so it is not as if they are just a reskin of each other.
BiffyC I didn't play the first one, but he just seemed like more of a lone wolf kinda guy, but it'd make sense that he'd help his daughter.
It's just that looking at how the game was marketed, Emily is way at the forefront, like Corvo speaks in this game, yet doesn't in the trailer while Emily does. Get what I'm saying?

Also, the AI is dumb as bricks so that should be a negative. Guards run right into mines and other stuff after seeing you place them. Not to mention the lousy PC port and the input delay on consoles. GameSpot hold this L.

Everyone trying to look for ways that game reviewers are scamming them. Maybe those things didn't matter overall because the game was so good that it wasn't noticeable enough to impede on the experience. Most people are okay with occasional frame drops if they're having enough fun with the game.
Hard not to agree with Super Bunny Hop that the biggest issue with D is not really a stealth game - it pretends to be one, but gives you all the tools to just massacre enemies. You are never really weak or underpowered (look at MGS - yes, you have guns - but going on a murderfest is the worst idea ever as you easily get overrun). Yes, you can play non lethal, but game doesn't even incentivise it much as they do want you to murder everything. I'm not saying it's a bad game, but it ain't no stealth game.

This game series is one that needs to be a movie, it feels like one, a great story line.

teppolundgren Complaints about a broken PC version are warranted. Over half of the people who reviewed the game on Steam are reporting game-breaking performance.
This reviewer was clearly going for a high chaos run. The game is quite challenging, even in the later levels, if you're doing low chaos or trying a ghost run. I almost feel like this person rushed through the game for the sake of getting this review up in time. I'm 12 hours in and I've only done 3 missions out of 9. Every level has TONS of hidden areas you can explore and entirely optional sub-plots involving some interesting characters. The only way you'll stumble upon them is if you're going off the main path and exploring the level.
I'm playing on PC and have been fortunate enough to have a config that didn't have any framerate issues or performance problems, so in my experience, this game is easily 10/10 Game of the Year for me. The level design is setting new standards for video games and the amount of freedom and replayability is mind boggling. The unique levels add a lot to the authentic vibe of Karnaca as well.
Hopefully they release a PC optimization patch soon so that everyone can experience the awesomeness of this. It's that good.

I want to go home and keep playing this game. Even do I suck at this game. I still love the challenge and the exploration. I am sure a couple of more hours and I will become a pro. I will be purchasing the first dishonored on the weekend. Great game play fun.
Even before, Dishonored 2 was announced. I had decided I will never play a sequel to Dishonored. I was hoping that Arkane Studios would actually decide not to "franchise" this wonderful game but they did and I was disappointed.
I know for a fact, that Dishonored is one of a kind experience. It was brilliantly written and produced and for that we should be forever grateful to Arkane Studios. And so I think there will never be any other version of that game that will have the same charm and finesse that was such a strong characteristic of the original title. Expecting such and trying new versions of it would be futile, if not a dis-service to an epic master piece.
Let us not tarnish a beautiful thing.
At the end you said that you are going to play no power in highest difficulty. My request is, if possible would you be kind enough to upload the whole walkthrough low chaos. Please.

If you lack challenge you can just turn the difficulty up to 11 (aka very hard)
while it won't add new progressive challenge it will definatly be as hard as you would like, if not much more

What's new game mode
The game is hard if you try not to kill EVERYONE, and sneak. Even later in the game.
I really don't feel this a perfect sequel for dishonored with all the current glaring problems.

Denzel Romero it looks very similar in gameplay videos and I thought the same before I played it last night. Once you're playing the game and seeing it all first hand it feels immersive and captivating. It looks and feels 10 times more refined and polished than the first one. Although I am playing it on console and can't say how it is on PC but I've heard terrible things about the PC port. It plays great on PS4 but if you're a die hard PC gamer than I would wait a little while to buy it.

no mention at all that it crashes a hundred times on PC with a lot (not necessarily me) trying to get through unplayable frame rates. Great game but it needs a patch now. No review copies makes a lot of sense when you don't finish making the game.
I know the stupid console comments are coming so I will just say it can crash as many times as it wants because unlike console it takes seconds to load. also makes stealth runs more fun. playing the first on console felt like the punishment for getting caught or dieing was waiting for it to load.

I found story similar to the Dishonored 1, and experienced only one game crash (PS4). For me its 9/10, but I am a mad fanboy of the series.

The only powers from Emily I enjoy are her domino and doppleganger but other than that other powers are pretty basic.

I'm gonna beat Dishonored 1 before I buy this. Downloaded it on my 360 when it was free and never played it

I think it could have really used a better storyline. For me, by the end I just wanted the game to be over because I didn't feel attached to the story arc at all, but that's just me.
My problem with these so called toy-box games is two fold.
First of all, they usually included one item that's far and away better than the rest. I know MGSV has a million ways to approach a situation, but why should I bother when the tranq gun is the best? Nevertheless, you can admittedly ignore OP tools.
The worse part about these games bring me to my second point - Even though I have all these tools, the scenarios and the results they provide are samey. A fire bomb, an electro-bow, and a katana are all the same to me if the game doesn't significantly change based on which one I use. "Devise your own scenarios", you say, "you can be creative". That, to me, is the equivalent of asking an actor to play two roles at once. I'm cool with games asking me to improv my part, but when they don't make an effort to create a focused setting, I feel cheated.
I always thought far cry 3 and 4 had the gnarliest takedowns but, dishonored has easily taken the takedowns to a whole new level of brutal.

The plot/story and deliverance of it is what held back the 1st one in my opinion. Gameplay-wise the 1st one was 10/10, but the story and specifically the engagement of the player in it, could have been SOOO much better, it feels like a missed opportunity. And from what I hear, the same thing can be said for Dishonored 2.
orestisDisturbed I agree, for me an engaging story and likeable characters are a big part of what makes a great game, so it's a shame to hear Dishonored II hasn't really improved in that regard.
So much squandered potential. A story in the world of Dishonored could've been amazing.
With how the stories went in these games, I'm baffled why the Outsider even bothers giving people powers. If I was him, I would bored out of my mind.

Game felt waaaay to short for me. I don't know if I tried beating it too fast, but the first dishonored had much longer and more fun missions to play.

There is no bad ending, It's simply chaotic. Killing more people means more bodies which means more bloodyflys and overall darker tone as your a brutal assassin that can't be stopped. People will treat you differently but that doesn't mean it's "Bad"
If you want the bad ending then murder and betray all your allies plus kill eall your enemies, that'll do the trick.

Gamespot seem to be marking down a lot of games lately compared to other reviewers. They used to hand out nines like sweets. Curious indeed.
I started the installation at 3:00pm today on my Xbox. I've tried every suggested solution to fix the download speed, I don't know how many times I've restarted my modem, force shutdowned my Xbox or stopped and restarted the installation but I can't even get the download speed over 9 mb/s, and I'm lucky if it reaches that speed, most of the time it's around the 3 mb/s mark. And I just wanna know why. Why today? Why The day that I get the most anticipated game of my life? My router and my Xbox have performed perfectly since the day we got them but today's the day that one of them chooses to fuck up. WHY? I have to go into school on Monday and face a whole week of hell, having not played a single minute of the game I'd been waiting for and planning to buy since 2015, then finally on the weekend I'll be able to play, but my sanity will be long gone by then.
Update:
I uninstalled the game, went offline, then reinstalled it. It took less than half an hour to install. I wasted an entire evening trying to get this shit to work faster and all I had to do was uninstall the game in order to reinstall it
