Destroying Canada, then they protest, saying the government is unfair. Ripping up new grass at University's , spray painting buildings & monuments & disrespecting Canadian rules. They poop on our beaches like they do in their country, which is unacceptable here. With all the protests going on from the Indian people, Canadians are getting fed up with the BS that they are doing.

No promises were made to anyone, and everyone understands that, so there’s no point in repeating it. All they asked for back then was fair and consistent draws, giving them a fair chance to be in the pool, unlike others who misuse their refugee status. Those refugees consider the benefits they receive as income from the government. The whole system is corrupt. If Canada is experiencing high unemployment, a housing market crisis, high interest rates, inflation, and recession, how can it justify extending work permits for Ukrainians by three years? What is the rationale behind offering these extended work permits?

Those students that are here who came with the intention to stay back and convert their student status to PR are now "up in arms" because they feel cheated and while they are not entirely to blame for feeling this way, the country needs to support itself and its citizens first and correct the mistakes it has made. Granting the requests of foreign protesting students will not make anything better in the country and may instead push the country's economy in an even worse direction until the bad policies are eliminated and proper policies are put back in place as they had been the past for the good of all.

They will be fine going back and even thankful because the transfer of wealth from India to Canada will stop. For the first time, Canada will be upfront about its policy. Stop protesting, you don't have the "permanent resident status", you have NO right and entitlement yet. As a Canadian born half Indian I completely agree with her. My grandparents' generation came to Canada and other countries and adapted to the Western culture while still holding onto their traditional ways. They worked extremely hard to build themselves up. They never took any social assistance because they were determined to make it on their own work ethic, and it was a pride issue as well. They built a strong reputation and gave us a better life. Now, anyone and everyone is slipping through the cracks, and these immigrants that come feel no need to change their ways because its basically like India here for them, and they are way too comfortable. I am so ashamed of these people and hate that they have tarnished our great reputation. They have ruined what took decades to achieve within a matter of a few years. I understand that it's not all, but it's enough that the world has noticed, and it sickens me to my core. These people can't just blame Canada for all their problems. If these people would put as much effort into making their home countries a better place as they are putting into protesting in a country that owes them nothing then perhaps where the come from wouldn't be so terrible to return to. Also if these people came here in honesty and went through the proper processes of staying in canada this wouldn't be an issue. It's bad that this situation has risen... But it's self inflicted by the Indian Students themselves... On the pretext of studies... They come to Canada and do all the odd jobs except studies especially the students who study in colleges (not University)... During the peak COVID times, the immigration allowed even a college students to bring in their partner (including those who are in conjugal relationships) which again bloated the influx substantially... Needless to say the immigration scamsters in India, Canada and throughout the globe took advantage of this going to the extent of faking the IELTS and few other documents... The Canadian Government has woken up and making a course correction, which is good for both Canada and all the countries to have a cleaner system based on credibility...

Canada told India to halt Ghost Consulting. Because bad agents (posing as immigration specialists) have been operating in an unbridled market in India. Deceiving Indian students! Canada NEVER promised lengthy work permits, jobs and PR.
I repeat, Canada NEVER promised international students lengthy work permits and permanent residency.
True Canadians never told Indian students to risk life savings on a dream.
Canada's own youth are also victims of Indian freelance 'agents' who painted a distorted picture of what Canada will give Indian students. SEVERE lack of homes & entry jobs now in Canada partially due to Indian students swarming all schools then fighting for PR vs returning home when they don't have the qualifications to stay! Asking for asylum too which rarely leads to PR.
And even though Canada is being falsely/unfairly blamed for too much, Canada has yet to deport students like crazy (but likely will soon). Instead Canada has been trying trying to find balance of who can stay vs go. While also trying to fix anything Canada did wrong. Create a better future. Why? Because Canadians actually care about doing so for both Canadians and international students.
India has over a BILLION people! Canada has only 40 million people. So who has the most bad actors regarding Indian students being deceived? Especially when Indians themselves say their politicians etc., are corrupt.
Why should Canada pay for what Indians do to Indians

This Out flow is still expected to continue for coming years, and nothing is being done by us.( Indian Govt ) and Students will again next year. Things have changed in Canada that needs to be understood.

It has nothing to do with indian government as they have no exit control. It JT who been importing people knowingly. JT and people around him benefit from immigration fraud.

I'm a Master's student here in Victoria Canada from Mumbai India, let me put this out there, its only Punjab protesting there. Its not all Indian students but rather Punjabi Indian students, none of the other states are using desperate measures.
Let me be honest, English is a basic requirement to survive here, I'm not even talking about other skills that are needed to survive here and these folks can't even speak basic English. Its absolutely ridiculous.
I have to mention one thing, while you can blame these students for whatever it is they are doing this is clearly a scam running by the government too. When you know that your immigration system can't handle such an influx of people why would you frame such policies and how did they let people get into the country too. Absolutely a joke!

I'm from another country. But Canada has the right to do what they think is right for their own country.

Indian students come to study not living in Canada. Young Canadian need jobs, housing, and security for Canadians first. Government of Canada make banned for five year for low skilled temp worker specially Indian work and Student
Why only Indians are protesting for the federal government changes on immigration policies? My question is, is it Indians who are only international students in Canada?
A student visa is for Studying. Not for permanent residency. Not for citizenship. Not for brining one's family over. Not for working illegally. Student Visa = Study = Graduate = Return to your country to grow your country.

Who would go to a country that your not a citizen of and protest, demanding that laws be changed or ignored for your own personal benefit and to the detriment of the citizens of the country.
Great candidates for a multicultural country that requires heavily on social cohesion.

There is no question-they should be deported. You cannot enter a country through deceit and then expect to obtain permanent residency or a pathway to citizenship. I hope this serves as a lesson for all countries to take a closer look at their dealings with India and Indian nationals.

Australia should follow, we have way too many unskilled immigrants here in Australia who pretend like students.
