There are ancient links... between Anatolia, Scythia, Macedonia etc and the Milesian people who eventually took this culture to Ireland at tte very beginning of the iron age. There's probably something very old in your DNA that the music and culture is speaking to

@@ogtay.ismayil yes sir....goes back to Ilium aka Troy.... the Dardanuans....they were tight with the Hittites. After the Trojan war, Dardania relocated to South East and South Central Europe and mixed with the Thracians. The Scythians came from these people. The eventual conquerors of Ireland were seafaring mercenaries with strong ties yo Scythia! And as a Turk, the Hittites were a common ally and cultural neighbor way way back! They've found Hittite bas reliefs depicting a bagpiper. They're all over the European zones just described above and migrated out from there - the bag pipes. Julius Caesar was of Dardanian ancestry. So was Alexander the Great....Caesar Nero was playing a bagpipe when he infamously burned Rome. You can check into all what I'm saying but it describes where your inspired interest nay be coming from. Very deep and old

Je suis de culture bretonne (France), et votre musique me touche particulièrement. Les peuples celtes ont la musique comme langage commun.

I am toned deaf but I can tell you that this is a most stunning and brilliant tune, You ask me How do I know when I can not hear music, that is simple all that I have to do is use my eyes and i can see and feel the movement of that most excellent player and that is all that I need to get to understand this music

Tone Deaf doesn't mean you can't hear music 😂 It means you have excessive trouble maintaining a consistent pitch while singing or playing an instrument.

Wow those pipes seem extremely complex and difficult to learn! But their sound is very special 👌🎶🎶

As someone that's learning them now, I can confirm. They're a temperamental beast and a pain in the ass to play, but when it's done right there's no comparable sound in the world.

he is incredible on the pipes, he makes it seem so easy----at about 30 seconds in you can see him playing the regulators with the ball or base of the hand.

Saw FourWinds at the Auckland Folk Festival in January 2017, bought the CD and played it almost non-stop whilst driving around New Zealand for the next month. It was the only CD I had so it was always on in the hired car. My wife and niece weren't quite so appreciative towards the end of the holiday. The CD now lives in my car in the UK and is regularly played.

FYI, to show just how skilled the pipes player is...
His Left elbow is squeezing the air bag that makes the pipes work while his left hand fingers play the chanter, and that air bag pressure has to be even...BUT
His Right elbow is operating the bellows that pump up the air bag, his right wrist is pressing the bass keys and his right hand is playing the chanter.
And all that from memory, because he doesn't have sheet music there. You appreciate the skill more when you know exactly what's involved.
