Dry Camping at Pocahontas Campground, Monongahela NF, WV

Visited the Pocahontas Campground located in the Monongahela National Forest on WV Route 92 in Pocahontas County, West Virginia. This affordable campground provides primitive and dry camping for both RV camping and tent camping. The campground has 8 sites and a few that may accommodate larger RV’s. All sites are non-reservable and operated on a first-come, first served basis. There is one vault toilet and several trash receptacles at this campground. The Two Lick Trailhead is located at the entrance to the campground with trailhead parking. There is no AT&T or Verizon cellular service at this location. Turkey hunted on those trails before , nice hike. When I was there they had benches along the trail. The far end of the trail ,as far as I can remember is in the state of Virginia, just for a little bit, at least that was what the Virginia Game warden said 😳 oops ! Thanks to him he was nice about and let me be on my way.
No turkey’s but what a grate time I had .
